Bills @ Titans 10/11 Second Half Thread
dezertbill replied to Big C's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Manuel was in he would have been sacked 10 times. TT mobility is what's keeping the team in this game. TD run showed that -

And now no wood, who is horrible in the first place. Can't use Thigpen in emergency since he was cut. I see Travis Henry on leave cleaning garbage cans outside the stadium. Maybe we can use him? WTF -
Bills @ Titans 10/11 First Half Thread

Boobie is horrendous. All he does is talk about getting opportunities and his fat a$$ can't get more than a yard and then stays in bounds when he needs to run out. Missing Fred ex right now and I'm sure Ryan and company feels the same. -
Is this defense just average?
dezertbill replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
worse than average, especially when you rank last in pass defense -
The elephant in the room.....
dezertbill replied to SUNTANBILLSFAN's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it weren't for our surprising offensive output the first three games we would be 0-4. This defense is giving up passing yards in large chunks per game. HIs criticism of Schwartz D at his press conference is a bit laughable now. They just have trouble stopping veteran savvy QB's in this league. Giants moved the ball at will same as Patriots. It just seems whenever we get a big win all they talk about is how great they are and then they lay an egg the next week, almost as of they spend more time reading press clippings about how great they are instead of just focusing one game at time. That is where Belicheat is so great. He keeps the team focused on each opponent, and doesn't let them get caught up on how good they are. If the season continues like this, it's going to be tough sledding. And a playoff birth may not be in the cards at 8-8 or 9-7 -

[closed]Can we get Mike Rodak to respond?
dezertbill replied to BuffaloSol's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rodak is horrible. His articles about the Bills are almost a joke. I stopped reading them. ESPN doesn't care. He does the job they ask him to do, whether it's in the best interest of the team doesn't matter. -
When you score 60 points over the last five quarters of play, you have to have good QB play. Over the last 5 quarters, TT is 29-37, 414 YDS, 4 TD 1 INT with one rushing TD. A ridiculous 78% Completion % and 11.2 Passing Yards per Attempt. Taylor ranks: 9th in the league in Completion % 4th in the league in Yards per attempt 5th in the league in Passing TD's Tied for 2nd in the league in completions over 20+ yards. Which, by the way, are all ranked higher than Phillip Rivers or Drew Brees, QB's that some members on this board were panning for us to mortgage our future for the next few years to acquire. The guy who many thought didn't have the strong arm (that EJ showed) is showing he can stretch the field with the best in the league. While it's still early, putting up 60 points in five quarters against two of your biggest division rivals is a good sign for a team whose main concern was putting up just enough points so their top ranked defense can win the game. So far Taylor & Company is exceeding those expectations, big time.

Bills Trade Cassel to Cowboys
dezertbill replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bet they wanted EJ -
This probably has more to do with Brown's unhappiness the way he wasn't used week 1 and less about his talent. He probably demanded a release and the Bills didn't want an unhappy player in their RB room that is quite a talented bunch. I'm also sure this all happened prior to some effort to trade him for anything but there were no takers. While I liked Brown, he simply couldn't hang onto the football. Even in preseason with a year to work on it he was still fumbling. No matter how good someone is, if he is going to account for a TO every 1 or two games, that's tough. Bills are set with Shady, Williams, and Dixon. I'm sure Thigpen can fill in a pinch. They have Wood on PS. This allows us to bring back Dareus and keep our DL depth. Brown may succeed elsewhere, but odds are he will always have that fumbling thing looming, and no team can afford to count on a back like that.

Is resigning TT possible if he plays well?
dezertbill replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If TT is successful in Buffalo, I don't see him beating down the door to try and get out. The Bills gave him a chance to which I'm sure he's grateful, and sometimes scheme is most important when it comes to success. Now, I don't expect for him to give the Bills a huge discount. But safe to say if he has something great going on in Buffalo he's not going to be looking to get out. He'll be looking to stay. And with the Bills having gone so long without a quality QB, I can't imagine them letting one get away. -
Very cool that we get an extra spot until Dareus returns Although Chris Brown reports its 4 as well
-
They need to get down to 53. That's 4 moves Mike
-
Bills need to cut 5 more. My predictions Dez Lewis (PS) Nick OLeary (PS) Matt Cassel (trade or cut) Dalton Freeman (PS) Alex Carrington or Randell Johnson
-
Edit: now confirmed rumor that Bills will release Cassel
dezertbill replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They'll probably try to trade Cassel by Friday, then cut him if they find no suitors -
Through Rex's comments, when he wouldn't commit to EJ and Matt Cassel being the 3 QB's on the roster I sense that a trade is in the works. I truly believe that they are looking to trade Cassel, and then bring Simms to PS. But with EJ's comments that he is a Bills for now I would have to think his agent has been told that a trade maybe in the works. Tough to call, but one thing for sure if your HC can't commit to the actual players being on your roster then a trade or even cut is in the works. I don't see the Bills cutting EJ. Cassel and his large salary, yes.

Bills need dareus and bradham extended. Using Freddies cap space to do so was most likely a necessity. With McCoy, Dixon, and Willliams, The Bills are honestly overloaded at RB (adding in Bryce Brown). It sucks cuz I believe Freddie can still be productive, but to pay his salary to a back up (even third stringer) is not a business wise decision. Wish Fredex all the best. He deserves it.
