I’m leaving out the RBs, but here are the TEs and WRs that matter listed alphabetically: Coleman Kincaid Knox Moore Palmer Samuel Shakir I’m honestly interested in what people think. I’d put Shakir first, but not by a wide margin. 2-7 could go in almost any order IMO.

Daboll isn’t here anymore so I’d wager his return depends on whether or not Josh goes to bat for him.

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/47723/gabriel-davis 2025 Option bonus and salary, which is almost his entire compensation package for 2025, is guaranteed. The Jags paid/are paying $24M for 11 weeks of Gabe Davis. Wow. Wonder if the Jags insured him.

agreed. 5% body fat is unhealthy. Even athletes who get down to that level rarely stay there for long.

Who’s your defensive surprise of the year?
BarleyNY replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bosa. He’s either going to be almost our entire outside pass rush or injured. 🤞 -
Guessing it was injury. He is a good receiver, but I just don’t know that he will hold up in the NFL. If he can’t ever be inline - and I don’t think he will - then he is a TE2. Nothing wrong with that except where we drafted him. Maybe not forgive, but he will get shuffled behind a lot of other goats as time passes. Right now it was the last important thing that happened in a Bills game. Give people time. Personally, I think there’s a lot of blame to go around and much of it goes on the coaches. It was a rough play for Kincaid, but wouldn’t single him out as why we lost.
-
I don’t have anything against Kincaid, I just always saw him effectively as a WR, not a TE. He doesn’t have the build and he is not a good blocker so, yeah, WR. More specifically he is a Slot WR and we seem to have a glut at SWR so I could see him getting moved too. Kinda tough to see the Bills giving him a second contract as it stands so they may as well get something in trade next offseason. That all assumes that he doesn’t light it up this season, but it’s tough to see that happening with so many to spread targets to. We will have to wait and see.
-
Bills fans have “never forgiven him”? It’s been a little over 3 months.

I always laughed when I saw people get excited about playing more 12 Personnel after Kincaid got drafted. If he’s one of your TEs, then you are still in 11.

Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
BarleyNY replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just keep in mind that RAS is calculated using only the data available. Anything missing isn’t factored in. For example, Jackson didn’t do the 3 cone or 20 yard shuttle drills so his agility isn’t part of his RAS score. Obviously agents want players to maximize their players’ scores so they would tell them to avoid any testing that would lower it substantially. The other popular tactic is to split up different measurements. For example, put on some weight for the combine but run the 40 and other agility drills at the pro day (after they shed that extra weight). -
That’s true, but his crappy kicking last year made the decision to move on from him easy.
-
He sucked last season and he’ll be 36 this year.

Didn’t Vrabel manage to coach the Titans to a #1 seed with Ryan Tannehill at QB? His teams were tough, disciplined, played very good defense, ran the ball very well (with Derrick Henry) and made the most of their limited QB. They did extremely well in the regular season, but couldn’t win in the postseason at all. I always wondered how Vrabel would do with a quality QB. I suspect he will do very well, but certainly wanted to see that happen in the NFC, not the AFCE.

They made their decisions on what to spend on
-
I agree. I don’t think they want to put that much in the way of resources toward a playmaking WR though. I do not like that plan, but it’s the one they’re going with.
-
It does speak to him feeling pressure. As for Beane’s comments, here’s how I read them. The most important were: - him saying “there’s only one ball” and - using the word “frustrated” when speaking of WRs who don’t think they get the ball enough. Easy to interpret IMO. The Bills aren’t looking for an elite WR who demands the ball (like Diggs did) and they aren’t interested in spending big on such a player. That’s because they are planning on utilizing the same schematic concepts as last year - run heavy with a predominately shorter passing game that spreads the ball around and has an eye toward YAC. An elite WR would be frustrated with lack of targets in that offense.

What is your favorite totally random Bills game?

This is the one that came to my mind too. I was there. Phil Dawson was such a great kicker and it really showed that day. -
Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
BarleyNY replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
More like Carl Nassib than Maxx Crosby IMO. Crosby has elite lateral agility. Jackson didn’t do the shuttle or 3 cone, but he seems more on the stiff side. He definitely plays upright. If he has a problem in the NFL I think that’ll be why. Very nice size and length though. Seems to work hard. Good use of his hands too. I can see him becoming a solid starter or excellent #3 DE. Good value where we got him in the draft. I can see him being the reason we don’t bring back Epenesa in 2026. -
I absolutely love hearing a new version of a great song - as long as the new artist makes it their own. Sometimes an artist will even do a completely new version of their own popular song. Peter Gabriel and Sting both did that in concert. Colin Hay did some of that when he remade Men at Work songs too. Many years ago I remember using Sheryl Crow’s version of Behind Blue Eyes to test speakers.

Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
BarleyNY replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
The impact is has is that it puts a floor on what he can make this season - about $3.5M. He may take a little less from a team like the Bills, but he has that contract to fall back on. -
It’s not like it would be the first mistake Cook and his agent made if he did some sort of hold in or out, but it makes little sense for him to do that. The players effectively gave up their ability to hold out while under contract in the last CBA. He can do a “hold in” but he has to be a good soldier for the season. If another RB had to take his place and was as effective as he was, then his value plummets. Too big of a risk IMO. I’m a fan of adding value in the draft and the depth of this RB class was so good I’d have liked to have seen an addition there. Maybe a good RB gets hurt or maybe one of last year’s RBs gets beat out by a better player. That would have been nice, but it wasn’t necessary unless Cook is expected to be a problem. I don’t think that happens though. But I do expect this to be his last season here.

Shedur Sanders Make To Round 5? (Poll) - UPDATED x 3
BarleyNY replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chubb is a free agent. The Browns offered him, but he didn’t take it. Not sure if he will retire or not. He has made a lot of money, but isn’t going to make much going forward - and his body has been through a lot. My bet is retirement or signing for cheap with a team that can compete for a SB. -
Shedur Sanders Make To Round 5? (Poll) - UPDATED x 3
BarleyNY replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep. They look to get about $44M back in cash and cap space from insurance next season. That will reduce the pain, but not come close to eliminating it. Still lots of cap consequences to bear from the Watson debacle. -

Higher risk? No. Not at all. The risk of a throwaway season was high before those two draft picks were made and it’s high now. But it isn’t any higher than it was.
