  1. Beat me to it. LOL! Finally!! Most of us have been waiting for this to happen since he was appointed to the post.
  2. at 6.5, I would take the over. I see 7-9 or 8 and 8, at least at this stage of the process.
  3. I rated them a 5 and I am thinking that might even be pushing it right now. HUGE question mark with the offense in general but especially OL and WR's. The defensive line is average, LB is a ?. Right now the only positives we have are RB and our defensive backfield. McD seems to have the knack of coaching players up so hopefully he can do that again this year. I hope who ever is the starting QB is as mobile as TT was.
  4. Your stating your opinion so flaming away is hardly necessary. You have an interesting take but I disagree with the overall thought on who to draft instead. The way things were going we could have and should have stayed at 12. I know Rosen was taken at 10 by Arizona but I don't think that would have happened if we didn't take Allen at 7. I am not an Allen fan, yes he has the tools, but like you said he has a poor record of winning and he din't play Div 1. I would have stood pat at 12 and Taken Rosen because had Allen been there at 10 I think Arizona would have taken him there instead of Rosen. Personally, I think Rosen will be the better player. Yes, he has a HUGE chip on his shoulder, he's very full of himself and by most accounts a bit of an a$$, but SO WHAT!! Jim Kelly was an arrogant a$$ who first refused to play here. Then when he did, in the beggining he was a full of himself partier with a HUGE chip on his shoulder and Rosen reminds me of him. does he or will he have his talent....maybe....maybe not. But he definitely was my first choice. As for the rest of the draft, I think as much as we need LB's i think OL was more important and should have grabbed one with that 2nd first rounder and without having trading up we would have had both 2nd rounders and the second 3rd rounder to brag more OL and LB talent and maybe another receiver.
  5. I see this being the most accurate assessments. You definitely do not want to rush him into play. Now if he completely blows away McCarron and Peterman then maybe he starts, but i hope not. I would like to see him mature a bit and get used to the Pro game before he starts. FWIW. I was hoping for Rosen, but that said, I will trust the FO decision and believe they picked the right guy. Only time will tell. Here's to hoping....
  6. Yeah, including water if he fell out of a boat.
  7. If they can't move up more to take their tops choice, They will pick best on the board at 12 and take Jackson at 22. I don't see them taking Jackson at 12 when they know he will be there at 22. I'm not certain he will be there in round two though when we pick again.
  8. Agreed, but I would prefer to keep him somewhere in the NFC or at the very least outside the AFC East. While he is not "Elite" he is still a very good QB and would prefer to not have to play him all that often.
  9. Good idea! I would see if we could do it with just TT and 21, and 22 and hold onto the 3rd rounder and only offer it if these on the fence. Overall, I like this idea.
  10. I would have to say no to either one. He is football smart, there is no denying it. He was a great QB, one of the best. But i do not want to see him in the booth. He is very un-articulate to me and listening to him for 3 hours would drive me up a wall.
  11. Wait? What? Comparing Gronk to Dolf is insane. You do realize that Dolf Lundgren has a Masters in Chemical Engineering right? By all accounts the guy is actually a F***ing genius.
  12. I have to agree with @oldmanfan, its a craps shoot. You really never really know who is going to work out and who's not. The scouts do their "due diligence" and hope for the best that everything works out. I certainly don't see Beane and McD moving that far up unless the guy they REALLY want slips. But with Cleavland having picks at #1 and #4 they are definitely taking a QB at one of those spots, most likely #1. After that it's a matter of what Indy, Denver and the NYJ do. Most of what happens draft day is going to depend on where Cousins lands in FA. Now that Washington has Smith, its clear he's not staying in Washington. If we move up, I think it's going to be in the low teens, somewhere around 13. But hey...what do i know, I'm just a nobody amateur spewing conjecture.
  13. Even if the didn't !@#$ up the pick, they'll !@#$ the QB they do take. They do it every time.
  14. Sorry....I don't see that happening at all. Beane and McD are not going to sell the farm to get to the 3rd pick. It would cost them way to much and now with Wood retiring, they have another spot to fill. They need all the picks they have. If their top QB choice falls to 10 or 11 and he still has not been picked then yeah i can see them putting together a deal, but not at 3...No way!
  15. Are the Giants and Indy going to take a QB this year? I don't think they will. Certainly not the Giants anyway. Eli still has some tread on his tires for them, and supposedly Luck is going to be back next year and able to actually play. I guess we'll know for certain on Luck come draft day. If neither plan on taking a QB there is merit to what your thinking. On the flip side, Cleveland tend to do idiotic stuff; more so than the Bills so.....who really knows.
  16. I have to agree with most of what is said here but I'm not sure its time to be concerned yet. See the below post as to why. Benjamin is slow, but he can get separation at times but his is really in his size so I'm not to worried about Benjamin. I do think Zay comes along next year and Thomas is a good addition this year as well. I can see them grabbing a WR in the 2nd to accompany Benjamin.
  17. I'm with you. I want as many head blows as i can get.
  18. Lets see Alex smith put up those numbers for a second year and then i will agree with you. If you look at his numbers every other year but this year and they are just as pedestrian as Taylor's. While I understand the point you are trying to make, I have to respectfully disagree.
  19. I don't understand the logic and certainly do not agree with the premises of your thought. The superbowl winner is the pinnacle of who the best is....for that year. Not the year or years before. What came before will not and does not matter. Period! Brady and Bellicheat shouldn't even be a part of the discussion solely on the basis that they are and forever will be know as the team that cheats. Neither of them or the team in general should ever be in the the discussion of "greatest ever" or voted into the HOF. Pete Rose was band from baseball and the HOF for just betting on games, he never cheated....and both these a-holes are not only still in the league, they are virtual locks for first ballet HOF'er which sickens me.
  20. You're probably right that he wouldn't be a draft prospect...at least for the Bills. If he goes un-drafted I could see the potential of picking him up as a rookie free agent. Like you said, I doubt that it happens though because unfortunately I don't think they are going to release TT and that means they will only need to draft 1 QB to compete with him and NP for the starting job.
  21. Agreed! I'm not a Jaguars fan by any stretch of the imagination but I just F$*K!&g hate Tom Brady and the Patriots. I hope they lose and lose bad . Then on the way to their locker room Tom Brady falls down the stairs and gets compound fractures to both his legs knocking down Bellicheat causing him to hit his head and get amnesia so he forgets that he ever won any Superbowl's.
  22. Definitely not used as a form of endearment. More along the lines of disdain. If i were to use it as a pet name for them, I would be referencing them as the rabid dog that needs to be put down.
