They've been trying to force this 12 personnel BS for two years and haven't been able to make it work. In the process, they've managed to turn an offense that was a thoroughbred into a plowhorse. That's not a Knox issue. That's on the coaching staff and front office.
In fairness to Coleman, it might help if they stopped forcing him on vertical routes when his main weakness is downfield speed. He's a possession receiver. Use him like one. The one instance where they did, he made a big play.
The running game is being adversely affected by the lack of talent at WR. No one is afraid of those guys, so they can attack the LOS without much worry.
I suppose it's possible, but I think it's much more likely that he's protecting the hand injury.
Statistically, he's on pace for a similar year to 2019 or 2020 and has an average per carry that would rank as his 4th best season of 7.
