Buffalo #1 NFL City ... for Bad Weather as per The Weather Channel
klos63 replied to ChasBB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nope, but even if that happened, is that a draw for people to want to be here for a Super Bowl? I work at high end golf club in Scottsdale, we are already planning for the Super Bowl here in 2023. This is the type of thing people want to do when they travel, not go shopping. -

Need to put a dome over the whole city to get a Super Bowl. -

I think every team should have a retractable roof and the league should pay for it. It's to the benefit of everyone. -

Chicago isn't called the 'Windy City' because of weather. It originated long time ago because of all the big time politicians talking all the time 'big bags of wind'. At least that is one theory. Just a little tibit for ya. -
Potential for Spenser Brown move? (to LT?)

No way the Bills will pay monster contracts for guards. Unless there is a long term issue with Dawkins, i see him and Brown as tackles, Morse at center and 2 new guards next season. -
Other Thanksgiving games: Bears at Lions 12:30 on FOX

I knew that, but an NFL head coach definitely needs to know that. Also, if they had 11 players , not 10 on the field, they wouldn't have to call time out. Just a horrible game with 2 terrible teams with 2 bad coaches. -

Better team usually wins. It's pretty simple. If teams are evenly matched, maybe the crowd noise effects QB signals, but that's about it. Ask yourself, why would a team playing at home give them any significant advantage? It's not like baseball where the ballparks are different and you tailor you team to your park dimensions. Yep, when we got the ball at the 2 minute mark left in the first half, that was our third possession of the day. -

They owe it to their teammates to make every reasonable effort to be ready to play each week. This is selfish in my opinion too. -

The Steelers game was a wakeup call. The Titans game was a wakeup call, The Jax game was a wakeup call... we hear this after every loss this season. Wakeup call, learning experience, blah blah blah -
Lack of sacks were not the reason we lost today, far from it.

That was only our 3rd possession of the game. And we only had 2 minutes to use that drive. Defense needs to step up. -

So is this game another learning experience? Will be our 4th this season. -
Spencer Brown placed on Covid List [Edit: Thurs 11/18]
klos63 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
You implied that running more screens and quick passes will help negate the issues of a poor line, so yes, getting away with bad lineman. I never said anything about finding good lineman by sunday, never even thought about something like that. You can't hide bad line play, hopefully they play well enough that Allen has some time to throw the ball and not just dump passes. That won't work. -

I think it's impossible to deny the positive impact Brown has had on the line. He's helped greatly improve 40% of our line by being a better RT than Williams and Williams is a better right guard than anyone else that has played that position. It's impossible to not see the impact he has made. -

Saying we need good lineman refutes the notion that you think we could get away with bad lineman. It just doesn't work that way. No, I don't think it creates hesitation on the dline. I honesty think you're trying to fool yourself into thinking that this isn't that big of an issue. -

You don't think teams would be on the look out for more screens, for more quick passes? Teams could focus on defending against that. And you need good lineman, there's no getting around it. -

I really don't think you can cover up a weak oline. -
If you aren't concerned about the Patriots, you should be.
