  1. Bills traded Taylor, in part, to avoid paying a ridiculous 6 million dollar roster bonus. McCoy's dead cap money will be "do-able" for the Bills but as a Captain, I wonder if they keep him, in hopes that new additions make him more effective Shady wants those yards...if he doesnt think Bills get him enough offensive help, would he request a trade?
  2. Since there are only 3 games remaining..whats the point in putting him back out there? Hello, Keith Ford...
  3. Beane understands, and expects value. Don't confuse "production " with "value". Value is a function of cost and production. Watkins has 40 catches, on an 8 million cap hit, which works out to 200,000 per catch,. Zay Jones has 41 catches, at a 1.5 million hit , or, app. 38,000 per catch. That is , of course, over-simplified, but for those complaining about the players the Bills gave up, look at how much they (and their replacements)are getting paid.
  4. Groy, Mills and miller are all free agents, right?
  5. Ducasse and Bodine will still be under contract (a couple mil each). Bills also have several young guys returning: Dawkins, Teller, Boettger, McDermott. I have concerns with Paradis' age (30+) and Brown's weight ( has ballooned up to 380 or so).
  6. Bills have like 6 WR's ...i dont see them adding anybody for just 4 games. I expect they want to give more reps to the guys already here; did you hear McDermotts presser today?
  7. keep in mind they Bills are near the bottom of "number of players signed' for 2019. A LOT of holes to fill with that cap money. Several more vets could be cut or traded (McCoy? Clay?)
  8. Ferguson is way too small to play center; he's like 235. Has never played center that i know of. it's completely different. if they dont sign a free agent, I suppose Miller or Ducasse would get some practice reps there. Sirles, possibly

  10. Bills acquired Benjamin in a trade, not via free agency. Does that mean they would NOT have gotten a comp pick for him?
  11. i don't think BEANE will "over-pay",and i dont see Bell fitting the Bills culture.
  12. Ramsey has said he wants to stay in Jax and the team denied they are thin king of trading him. Plus the Josh Allen "trash" comments... would the Bills consider trading a draft pick to have him for one, maybe two years?
  13. Bills do indeed have plenty of cap money and they will spend it wisely. That does not, in my opinion, mean they want a guy who probably wants to the be highest paid, and has already quit on one team. You would dump McCoy,ivory and Murphy and take the cap hits?Good running backs are not necessarily "a dime a dozen'; but you dont need to over-pay. A couple rookies might do the job if added to the the current group
  14. Only 5 teams are averaging 300+ passing yards per game, and that does not include Brees & New Orleans. Tampa bay leads the league , but at 4-7,hardly a "great team". Falcons, also 4-7, are ranked 4th. It is not all about passing yards ; don't overlook the other facets of the game.
  15. Clay;'s numbers have been consistent, but so have his injuries. His dead cap hit is mangageable if they cut him next year....dont know if they could much in a trade, maybe a 5th rounder?
  16. Sounds like a solid plan. i dont expect wholesale changes,,perhaps a new QB coach, maybe O-Line coach. Beane and McDermott will get at least the 2019 season, to show what they can do with the draft and salary resources coming available
  17. Some mocks.agree with you, especially with the wide open NFL game
  18. The un-settled QB situation, plus the league's toughest schedule over the first half season
  19. Kerley still a free agent, so, no great loss. Apparently like the way the young guys have improved
  20. Why a UDFA and why do you assume Barkley stays? Might look for a better opportunity.
  21. I dont know how they would get Anderson to the IR if he wasnt actually injured. Rules against stashing players. i do like th idea of him sticking around ,they do have time invested in him. I am okay with Peterman to the PS as a compromise so McDermott wont feel bad
  22. wow...of all the things going in with the Bills, we complain about a player being considered 'a good guy"? I dont think anyone is saying a being person of faith makes you a better person than some one who is not...I dont care what their "faith" is",but i do appreciate character, work ethic, unselfishness, etc.
