  1. Kaepernick didn't win anything; the 49'ers did. "Good" QB's on a "bad" team obviously will struggle, but a "fair" QB on a GOOD team ,.with quality coaching, can succeed. Won-loss records for QB's can be misleading.
  2. two areas of improvement that I appreciate: 1. reducing stupid penalties and 2. looking like we know what we are doing on defense, and not waiting til the last second to know what the plan is.
  3. Boldin isnt playing for the Patriots....that would make him a hypocrite after all the things he said he wants to do off-the field. Bills hold his rights anyway; Pats would have to compensate the Bills to give up Boldn's rights.
  4. I have seen him on TV several times this week. He's freakin' captain, we will hear from him. The media talks to a LOT of players, not just him. It's not like he is REFUSING to TALK , is it? He's the strong, silent, hard-working respected type of player.
  5. Having 8, or 10 picks a year is better than the usual 7 picks. Let's say half the picks "make it". Get 4 or 5 contributors instead of 2 or 3. Protect yourself against injuries or busts. Most importantly, use the picks wisely, don't reach, don't gamble.
  6. It's actually "Pyke", with a "K". not that it matters anymore...
  7. I think the term I read was "middling". The Bills have been able to maintain a "middling " level of success which keeps the fans hopeful, and fills the seats. I believe McDermott and Beane when they say they WANT to win this year, of course they want to. If they have faith, and "follow the process" maybe 9-7 will happen. it would take a near miracle to make the playoffs
  8. If necessary, can Brown return punts or kickoffs? I haven't heard his name much this summer
  9. Just looked at the stats for the first two preseason games; have the Bills really run 147 plays in two games? And, THROWN the ball 100 times? Am I seeing that right? if so, they seem to be getting the reps in, but I expect them to RUN more this season.
  10. I just answered my own questions; Streater's injury is the toe, not sure yet if dislocated or if he got X Rays
  11. Any news on Streater? I didnt realize he has a history of foot problems
  12. Sammy would not have 'won" either of these PRE SEASON games for the Bills. Jones looked good...but, I am now concerned about losing Streater.and am anxiously awaiting Matthews. Bills have a number of problems: Offensive production in general, O-line (especially LT and Ducasse) and penalties, etc.
  13. Why would the Bills subject themselves to that? They dont have the best cap situation and depending on how he does this year, would cost 12,15,18 million a year. Why the hell would he ever come back to this area, where he has gotten so much crap on pages like this? if he signed a contract here in Buffalo, it would be constant complaining about him for the next however many years.
  14. Let's just hope we don't lose any more players to injuries and suspensions.
  15. Can Austin aPsztor (Browns' FA) play on the left side?
  16. Brandon Tate has decent receiving stats (65 catches, 15.7, 6 TDF's) from earlier in his career, and, the Bills seem to think Powell has potential. Ross only has 9 career receptions, but who knows?
  17. I have noticed little mention the salary cap considerations of these deals. This year, the Bills probably dont save much cap money, but I'm sure Watkins & Darby combined, make more than then Matthews & Gaines? The Watkins deal eliminates a potentially messy, expensive free agency negotiation, Watkins is making 4 million and it would have cost what, 12, to pick up the option and the franchise tag is 16? Somebody, if not the Rams will take a chance and pay Sammy. The Bills are probably looking at the cap situation for 2018 and beyond. Also; ideally, it makes sense to DRAFT WELL, maximize that production for the 4 year contract, then if necessary, trade the player or let them walk. Bills have 6 picks in the first three rounds and hopefully hit on half of them, if that might include trading up. This makes sense to me, but let's wait and and see.
  18. Howmuch of a homendiscount are the Pats getting for Brady? He takes way less than market value,so Pats are extremely blessed..something else...rather than worry about spending 10,13 million on a a free agent Watkins "replacement"..wouldnt it be great to DRAFT one? Maximum prouction and be willing to let (some) guys walk after rookie deal

  20. His numbers were ok his first two years. 99 catches, 13.8 avg, 7 or 8 TD's. I would take that production, depending on whether he is #3,4,5...Didn't play much for a couple years. Not targeted often in 2016, though he played all 16 games
  21. A civil case is much different than a criminal case and they have a year to put a case together. They might be claiming the Patriots still owe money to Hernandez (estate),which they could try to go for.
  22. His rushing stats are so-so but average 110 carries per year. Good receiver out of the backfield,50 catches a year. Would he get that many touches in Buffalo? Probably not til Shady moves on. Barely 24.
