  1. With Tre on PUP,Bills would be LESS likely to move someone, assuming there is any interest. What's the logic here?
  2. Wonder if they tried to trade Haack ? How about Shaq Lawson as a trade candidate? OJ Howard?
  3. Surprised me that he looked better at G than T
  4. Disappointing return for a 2nd round pick.
  5. How do you figure? Austin wasn't the #3
  6. I think Bills fans are worried it will be ANOTHER team's practice squad.
  7. Are you insane? Azaria has been flawless as a holder. I would see if another team would give us a day 3 pick for Haack . Nothing against Jones. Except his age, contract and fact he doesnt contribute to the offense. This team is good enough to let him go so they can keep a young player.
  8. I have seen Cam covering kicks but havent noticed him at safety
  9. I admire your guts in cutting Jones. With all the young talent on this team I think its about time. I like Blackshear but am also liking what I see from Duke. That's a toufh choice. Cutting Kumerow assumes Hodgins can succeed on ST. Your 53 looks good, we will have a better idea next week.
  10. I dont know how they can cut Moss, a productive "power" back on the 3rd year of his rookie deal. Cook was a "part timer " in college and I don't see him getting that many touches . I WAS impressed seeing him return kicks which increases his big play potential. I might be in the minority but wouldnt mind if Taiwan Jones gets cut. 34 and the Bills are playing young guys on special teams. Early in camp I was hearing about Blackshear as a sleeper roster addition and I can see it happening. In college he did it all: rushing, receiving, kick returns and kick coverage. I would hate to lose him.
  11. Hodgins has played ST in both preseason games. I dont think The "core" ST vets are guranteed a roster spot and Bills have young guys getting ST reps. Blackshear RETURNS kicks but I haven't noticed him covering. Even if Bills would cut Jones, Blackshear would be the 5th RB and I dont expect them to keep that many on the 53. I like the 4 of Motor,Moss, Johnson and Cook, with the latter 2 returning kicks. Blackshear might force his way onto the roster. Cam Lewis been a gunner this summer and provides CB depth. All the backup LBs play ST.
  12. You werent THERE for those 24 incidents so ,that's an empty type of indignation. What would you have been doing there, anyway??? The NFL followed the CBA in this case so nothing will change unless the next agreement takes a stronger stance on player(mis)- behavior. WHAT "third party" ? Police departments? Local ordinances? State and Federal laws? Lawyers? The same "parties" that already exist? Most of the women supposedly secretly, settled. How is that OUR business? Arer you mad at the victims, too?
  13. Great point. If someone is going to criticize the NFL,an employer, what about all the other employers out there? Is there indignation directed at every single company who employs a person that is suspected/charged/sued...? Obviously the NFL is targeted because it is a multi billion dollar industry that is in the public eye.
  14. Taron Johnson in the slot and Dane Jackson outside. Plus Elam/Benford until White returns. It could be a while before one of the rookies unseats Jackson.
  15. Well said! I think this situation is not about Elam being " a disappointment" but more about Beane getting a player like Benford in the 6th round.
  16. Is Benford really outplaying Elam? Did someone analyze snaps from the Colts game ,taking into consideration how many were against starters, who tbey were covering, etx. and the fact that Elam is transitioning to zone from man?
  17. Interesting that, early on, there was talk of Benford eventually moving to safety. That versatility might come in handy.
  18. I dont know that they actually said Benford was "outplaying " Elam. Seemed more like he is "pushing" Elam. I'll listen again but... Update: they do not say Benford has outplayed Elam. I interpret them as saying he has exceeded expectatuons of being a 6th round pick.
  19. If OBJ signs a one year ( or half,or quarter year) "prove it deal", he will certainly want to play, to establish his value for a richer ,long term deal in 2023. Let's say he remains unsigned:he could rehab, get in shape etc., hoping a team has a late- season need. If the Bills are running away with the AFC East, getting good production from their WRS....why would they need him? The only way I see Bills signing him is in case of an injury to Diggs or Davis.
  20. Aren't they at 83? I thought the roster was at 89. Then -4 and -2
  21. He apparently played a number of special teams snaps, but I didn't notice.
  22. There is no point in "sitting" Jones. His value to the Bills is on special teams. If another player beats him out for the ST gig,he gets cut.
