I fully expect Tyrod to have success in Cleveland. He has weapons and is 1,000,000,000x better than anyone that they’ve run out there since they came back into the league. I would expect Baker to take the reigns at some point though. While Tyrod is better today than anyone on our roster today te Bills are trying to go forward. They have reached decent. Now they want to get to good. The Browns are trying to reach decent. It’s just a different situation. Allen will dictate whether or not the team goes forward or back. I don’t expect Allen to have Andy Dalton’s career. He’s going to be a star or a bust IMO.

Really is a great summation here. The Bills are taking a step back to hopefully take 2 steps forward. This year was about clearing the cap (check) and finding a franchise QB (potentially check). The Bills have already been successful in achieving their goals. This year will hopefully be about Allen and some other young players developing. Next offseason they load up. Get a top end pass rusher in the draft, add an OT, #1 WR, TE, LB, a young RB and get ready to take the next step.

I like this idea quite a bit. I was thinking about Sanu too. How about Shaq Lawson for Coleman or Sanu?

He might have been the top WR in this draft. I’ve seen him mocked in the 1st in a few places next year. Michael Jasper? We drafted him though

Grading immediately is much worse. Mock drafts serve a purpose and educate people as to where prospects may go. Grading drafts is just stupid (and I just graded our draft).

Yeah, it crosses the Common and Garden (although I think that it is pretty much all on the Boylston and Tremont side now). I loved Boston. I always said “if you could take everyone from Boston out of Boston it would be the best city in the world.”

That’s the point. He is AWFUL!! It was hilarious on NFL Network when they took him. Mayock and Jeremiah didn’t even know what to say. I’ve seen pretty much every snap that he has taken and know that he sucks. The Patriots also used 1st round picks on Dominique Easly and Malcolm Brown. They don’t draft well!! They have Brady.

That’s the amazing thing about the NHL. They were more concerned with keeping Edmonton happy than sticking McDavid in Boston or NY. Now they have playoff games on the golf channel and half of the US has no idea who Connor McDavid is. The NHL had a chance to develop a star in a major market and potentially attract interest throughout the country. It is mind-boggling that Bergman worked under David Stern. He was being trained by Yoda and ended up as C3P0. I hope that arena is really turning out big bucks.

I’m higher on Ray-Ray than most of you. He was the playmaker for Clemson. He returns punts and makes plays. I said it in another thread but he reminds me of the h-backs in Urban Meyer’s offense. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if he helped this team.

Can’t wait for him to wrestle Phillips.

Allen wasn’t my guy but I am glad that they committed and didn’t overspend. Edmunds is a stud that had no business being around for the Bills. Someone called him Anthony Barr and thought that was a great comparison. I liked the Phillips pick. He isn’t exposive but can be a really good 1 technique. He’s a starter. Johnson fits this defense well and is at a position of need. Neal is that “new school” hybrid which is effective in today’s NFL. Teller is a mauler. Ray Ray is a playmaker and Proehl an athlete. It wasn’t a perfect draft but the Bills are better now than they were 3 days ago. If Allen pans out this is a turning point for the franchise. The draft is a B+ for me. I would have liked a deep speed guy and a RB but you can’t have everything.

Does he get to fulfill the duties of Mr. Irrelevant should he not be able to?

I liked Switzer. He can make some big plays. I know that I sound like a broken record but this team is going to need to make some chunk plays. That’s kind of why I like Ray Ray. He can make plays in the rerun game. I just don’t see this Bills team managing long sustained drives. They will play pretty good defense. If they hit 2 big plays in a game they’ll have a chance. They need some guys that can make those chunk plays.
