On our heels and now playing without Benford. What a horrendous start

Worst possible start. Josh is anxious and the game plan is bad. The safeties also made mistakes. Force them outside the numbers!! Better get it together and quickly.

I haven’t stopped. This game/season hasn’t left my head in weeks. Usually I spend a lot of time on here or Twitter talking X’s and O’s. “If this happens then that needs to happen, etc.” That just hasn’t been the case for me over the last couple of games. There’s an eerie calm that I’m feeling. People talk about “the calm before the storm” and for those of you that have been through a hurricane, you know that feeling. I have that now but without the threat of the storm. I was just sure that the Bills were going to win last week. There wasn’t a scenario that came into my mind where they lost. That’s how I feel again this week. I don’t mean that in a dismissive or arrogant way. It’s just time. Strategy aside, this is their destiny.

I think that I agree with this. It’s chaos and next-level incompetence. This move was wild. The timing of it all is beyond messy.

That 2022 team was emotionally exhausted by that point in the year. It was just too much. This year’s team should have a giant chip on their shoulder and are healthy. This is a huge game against a team that we do not match up with well on paper. The motivation though will be there and they’ll play for Josh. If he goes Superman and wins this game, they put a lot of narratives to bed.

I have bet against the Bills a few times in my life. I’ve never done it in a meaningful game and have never been conflicted as to what I want for an outcome (the same goes for fantasy). The Bills winning is all that matters. The handful of times that I’ve bet against them, generally, has been when they were the favorite and I thought the spread was too big. If they give 7 and win by 4 it’s a win/win. I don’t know if I’ve bet against them since returning to the playoffs in 2017.

He can’t come out this year. I agree though. He’s a franchise changing safety. He will be a 10+ time Pro Bowler IMO.

It all depends on the style. Yesterday that team was a great matchup for the Bills. The Broncos strengths were man to man defense and the ability to get to the QB. Those are 2 things that the Bills have shredded all year. Denver also can’t run the ball and the Bills have been exposed against great rushing offenses. The Broncos really had no chance of winning a game by doing what they do best. If they were to have had any shot yesterday it would have been because of mistakes by the Bills. They weren’t going to win with man coverage and elite pass rush. Next week, Baltimore is a much tougher schematic matchup. They are a physical team with a great running game and good pass defense. For the Bills to win, they are going to have to get the lead and force Baltimore to throw. Lamar’s record with 30+ pass attempts is bad. They ran 15 consecutive plays at one point on Saturday. If that happens, the Bills are in trouble. If they get the lead, that won’t happen.

I feel like the Bills will play with an edge this weekend. When they’ve done that over the last 5 years, they’ve been unstoppable. I believe that the Bills come out flying next week. If they get up a couple of scores the game may never be close. If they make Baltimore have to throw a lot, it’ll be a great day for the Bills.

Lol, I said, “obviously I’d vote for Josh.” The point is, “it’s perfectly reasonable for someone else to prefer Lamar. He is deserving this year.”

Right?!? It’s insane. It’s a bad look. Stop He is absolutely deserving with those numbers. There is no doubt that it would be warranted this year. I’d obviously vote for Josh but Lamar has a strong case.

Honestly, Lamar is certainly deserving of MVP this year. He absolutely was not last year when he received 49 of 50 votes. That’s the rub. The all-pro vote leads me to believe that Lamar will be named MVP for the 3rd time. That’s dumb. Hopefully that will be the fuel for Josh to go God Mode in the playoffs.

The point was, they got the number 1 QB in the class. It didn’t matter yet. He wasn’t the guy (yet). He was THE guy coming out. I don’t think beating a ranked team in 8 years or whatever it has been is unrealistic. Only Rutgers has gone longer since a ranked win in the power conferences. For a once great program, that’s insane. They have become irrelevant. Maybe things turn around. The point is, they should. They have the top QB recruit. They have a former NFL HC that has had success in college. I just don’t see a playoff team maybe ever again. They are going to have to beat some good teams before thinking about that.

Don’t park in Lot 1. The stadium lots are the worst for egress. It can legitimately add hours. We are on Southwestern at La Galleria. I’m in Williamsville and have been home as soon as 23 minutes after a game. Generally it’s around 30. My brother is in the city and takes RT. 5. It takes him about the same. He shoots to McKinley and down.

They should be in the NIL era. They bought the QB. This year was no different however. I don’t know if we will see them in the playoffs anytime soon. How many Big 10 programs are currently better? Oregon, OSU, PSU, UM, Iowa, Wisconsin, IU, Washington, USC & maybe Illinois?

So because we didn’t like the data from the other day we will exclude it? Lol, that’s trying to fit a narrative. There’s no other reason. He had the ball thrown to him 10 times and caught 2. I’m confident that if he caught 10 of 10 we wouldn’t be removing that from our data set. If it makes you feel better to only look at the data that you like, go for it. Handle it however you see fit. When I evaluate things, I’m going to continue to look at all available information and not just things that I want. To each their own…

If we are evaluating Samuel do we count last week because he caught 7 of 8 targets? Lol, it’s absolutely fitting a narrative. He was thrown the ball 10 times. He caught 2. Samuel was thrown the ball 8 times. He caught 7. There is no reason to selectively decide when to exclude data other than to for whatever narrative we are trying to portray. It’s much more honest to look at the data and see what it says. There’s no reason to manipulate it.
