Deandre Hopkins was a 1st round pick. I think you’re thinking of Martavis Bryant.

That may be end up being a positive too. Maybe it is just, “these guys know how to evaluate receivers?” That would be a great omen for Hodgins and future picks.

Nope

It’s funny how things happen sometimes. The Bills once tried DESPERATELY to trade up for Mark Barron and couldn’t get it done. They “settled” on a future DPOY in Gilmore. This year they tried to trade up for Devin Devernay and couldn’t get there. They ended up taking Gabriel Davis shortly after. Maybe lightning will strike twice? It will be interesting to watch those 2 careers side-by-side.

Bills tabbed to go 15 - 1 by blogger

Linking articles that you get “paid” for has never been a good strategy around here. You wrote some trash predictions that weren’t even mathematically possible and then got butt hurt when you were called out. Now you’re linking stuff that may end in your expulsion from the board. That’s not a very good start to your TBD career. -
Checking in on Jets: O-Line and WRs STRUGGLING
Kirby Jackson replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m really hoping that the don’t get number 1 for that reason. Ideally Lawrence ends up in the NFC somewhere. Between that and the haul for Adams the Jets could turn it around quickly. I’d just assume they find a way to win 6 games and spend the next few years in purgatory. -
Lol, I’ve used it on here a few times. It is reserved for special Bills plays.

It’s the same way with the OL, the DL, potentially the TEs and maybe even the safeties. The Bills have more nfl caliber players than they do roster spots. I’m really perplexed by all of this Maddy Glabb love. She’s a 6 on her wedding day.

Lol, you don’t think that the NFC West teams finish 13-11 against each other? -

I actually think Darnold is pretty good. He just has his hands tied with that trash team/coaching staff. This may be his last year there but I think that his career will resurrect in his next stop a la Tannehill. -

They’ve also lost their 2 best players since then. This Jets team absolutely stinks. This is about a 4 win team. They have no weapons and a still developing (or questionable) OL. They lost Adams and Mosley as well. That is an awful football team. It is the type of team, that a good, well-prepared, team should beat by 3 scores. Fortunately, that’s what I expect to happen. If the Bills do not sweep the Jets this year it will be a massive failure. There is not one position group where the Jets are better. -
Roberts you mean
-
I don’t think it is because he’s a bad player. I also think that he’s a lock if they go to 7. He’s certainly less of a lock than Davis though. He is probably the 5th most likely “receiver” at this point. I’d say that he is more likely than McKenzie who would be next and Duke/Hodgins after that. Hodgins probably can get to the PS which may make Duke a little more expendable. They could also trade one of Roberts/McKenzie/Duke. If the Bills do stick to 6 though Roberts is competing with McKenzie, Duke, and Hodgins for 2 roster spots. At that point it is probably one of McKenzie or Roberts and one of Duke or Hodgins. Roberts only averaged 4.4 touches per game INCLUDING his returns. They may decide, with the kickoff rules as they are, to use that spot on someone who is more of an offensive threat. Again, I think Roberts makes the team but he certainly isn’t in stone with the way that the back of this receiver depth chart (including him) is performing.

Duke Williams is coming off a playoff game where he was targeted 10 times. The production may be limited but there are some teams out there with such bad receivers he’d get a look. If you are the rebuilding Jets would you rather take a shot on Duke or Hogan? No, this isn’t my usual shot at Hogan. The point is they are a bad, rebuilding football team. A career, decent receiver, in his 30’s makes less sense than Duke. The same holds true for the Pats. They have bums in their receiving room. Duke could be a situational player there tomorrow, with some upside. You can go around the league and find A LOT of places that Duke could play. A lot of depth is a good problem for the Bills.
-
I think those are spots 4 & 5. Davis is much more likely to make the team than Roberts (for example). The Bills may keep 7 this year but I think Roberts is on the bubble if it’s 6. They just have too many talented receivers to keep a pure punt returner (albeit a very good one).

I actually think that it might be a little of both. There are times that they can kick Diggs into the slot and play Gabe Davis wide. Over the next few years though he may follow Brown as the outside guy opposite Diggs. I think they’re going to try to get the kid 10-15 snaps a game though. Obviously an injury and that number will rise.

You realize that your records aren’t even possible correct? You have the teams going 255-257 ??. That doesn’t even account for which teams are playing each other either. As an example it may be not be possible for the AFC East and NFC West to have those records as they play in crossover games. The only way to possibly have accurate predictions is to go through every game on the NFL schedule and predict the winner. You definitely didn’t do that because you had all NFL teams finishing 2 games under .500. -
I feel that in a perfect world you are right. I think in the real world the money will talk for Terry and Kim. My guess is that we are looking at $5m a year until the end of the lease. If it is Barstool/Penn National that feels like the extent that they’d want to commit to. They want to build the brand(s) and get out. It’s not a Rich Products 20+ year play.

If y’all want to see something incredible!! Designing and ordering the tickets used to be a hat that I wore. Fun little aside, my at the time, future fiancé was on the ticket of the worst loss in NBA playoff history!! There is so much irony there and a lot of you know Lindsey. It should have been a sign lol. https://www.sportscasting.com/the-biggest-blowouts-in-nba-playoff-history-2/ At any rate this package that the Raiders put together HAS to be $50 - $100 a head. That’s insane.

Would YOU pay for a ‘Bills Network’?
Kirby Jackson replied to TheyCallMeAndy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually appreciate the honesty. If that’s what you believe there is no issue. The people that I’m going to have an issue with are the ones that are principled enough to shut it off if the Bills are bad but tolerant enough to watch if they are good. That’s hypocritical IMO. We all have a different line but it shouldn’t be tied to wins and losses. If it is, it becomes an excuse. I’ll still be there if they’re kneeling at 0-15. I won’t be happy about the year but I’ll be there. Others like yourself willing to shut it off now, I commend. People should stand by what they believe and not just use it as an excuse.
