  1. Well, he isn't working for Marrone...perhaps he is just staying close to St Doug, assuming he gets a HC job next year. As a pride thing, I am not surprised he isn't staying in Buffalo, though I think it was classy of the Bills to make a pitch for him, as with Peppers.
  2. "Confederacy of Dunces" - John Kennedy Toole "Light In August"- William Faulkner
  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScxlXjFD6NI
  4. I like Marshawn! I wish there were more guys that would just keep their mouths shut.
  5. I hate these threads!
  6. I think the Seahawks are going to crush the Pats...I thought so, even before the deflation of balls was known (my prediction late in the season)...it only makes me feel more confident...I hate both teams, mind you...but the one way to beat the Pats is to get a ****-ton of pressure on Brady...I think the Seahawks can do that...and I also think this scandal is going to be a huge distraction for the Pats. I realize, they are not normally a team that most would think would succumb to "distractions", but I think it is already un-raveling them to a degree...I hope I am right!
  7. The catch that Beckham made, in the second quarter, from Stafford, was pretty spectacular...not quite the one hander he had earlier in the season, but pretty damn spectacular..all hustle.
  8. Flash forward 2 years: New hired NY Jets head coach, Pepper Johnson, has hired Stoney Brook tight end coach Doug Marrone for the same job with the Jets. "See, I knew I'd get the Jets job" said the always pucker anused Marrone.
  9. More speculation, but heard some of the talking heads speculate that Chris Johnson would not be back with the Jests next season....Spiller would be a decent substitution...
  10. I think everyone is assuming that the Bills will not re-sign him and let him become a free-agent...I am guessing it will be them "speculating" what most here, and other places have assumed already.
  11. Lock up your wives, daughters, girlfriends and cheerleaders! BTW- I mean that in a completely PC way!
  12. I agree. I watched a fair amount of Geno...I know it has been said before, but while EJ never looked as bad as Geno, he never looked as good either...Ryan (or whoever) let Geno just play...I fear that Bills fans are too impatient at this point (and I am not necessarily blaming them), to let Manuel go through all the mistakes he has to get out of his system. From the sounds of it, the Bills players in Doug Marrones offense may have had "too many voices" in their ears. Paralysis through analysis...add to that the pressure on 1st round QB who was thrust in the role as "franchise savior", it isn't surprising that he has struggled. I am not done with him...want to see him play a little more.
  13. Not that it is a criteria (hell, I like Favre!), but Brown is kind of an a-hole.
  14. Yeah...agreed. I think we are at a point where people feel compelled to take a "controversial" stand on pretty much everything...its' gonna be a long off-season.
  15. Not on you Mr Weo, but if the writer had listened to the interview he refers to, what she said was pretty clear.
  16. Lucky dog!
  17. Maybe having "no opinion" on him prior to the interview, is a good thing?
  18. I thought she was great. Connor Orr is attempting here, it seems, to create some controversy...a true case of somebody taking a comment out of context. KP's point was, when they set up an interview with Ryan, it was merely to interview him, with the sense that they weren't likely to give him serious consideration... they met him, talked to him, and were blown away enough to shoot him to the top of their list. Why does everybody have to make a controversy out of every !@#$ing thing?
  19. Could we possibly see the Bills/Jets open up as part of the Monday Night double-header? Sure, two marginal teams, but you know Rex Ryan vs the Jets is going to be one of the stories that gets hammered on all summer (the way only ESPN can hammer), and it would be a big market team, in the Jets.
  20. Yeah, wouldn't want to lose Doug Marrone! btw- wonder if/when owners block some of these hires...sort of a form of nepotism...I am sure Ralph would have been on it!
  21. Somehow, him being hired as solely "assistant head coach" sounds even more pathetic....kind of like the "assistant to the assistant regional manager".
  22. Greg Landry, Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, John Elway and Brett Favre for me..
