  1. I will take Terry Pegulas word that he expected Marrone back next season, and he was "shocked" when Marrone quit. It makes a lot more sense than OPs original post. Everything is not a conspiracy....
  2. Not sure if they are saying "Dumbass" so much as "!@#$"!
  3. I really think a bunch of Marrones' assistants from Buffalo would like to kick his ass right now. When Marrone first opted out, I didn't think too much of it....thinking, a lot of people would do the same thing...but the more I think about it, the more unflattering a portrait this paints of Marrone...it can't be overstated.
  4. I do what I can...wasn't it just a year or two ago that conservatives were in a snit because "12 Years a Slave" got so much recognition from those same bleeding heart California liberals?
  5. Yeah... I still wouldn't give a ****!
  6. ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz.......
  7. The NFLN is embarrassingly awful...other than the NFL films productions...I don't think there is a single NFLN analyst (Willie McGinnist maybe) who I give any credence to. Juaronimo is dead on in his analysis of their analysts!
  8. I am disappointed that they lost Schwartz too, but lets not forget, the Bills wanted him to stay...he wanted to leave. The last thing the Bills (or any team) need is to have coordinators and head coaches butting heads... Schwartz is as emotional as Rex... I honestly don't think they would mix well. Schwartz did a great job, no reason to think that Ryan/Thurman can't get similar results. The talent available is a big factor...
  9. Will listen to the Thurman interview on my lunch break... Did anyone happen to catch the Jim Kelly article by Paul Hamilton, over on GR55? Doesn't it sound like Kelly is sort of begging for a coaching job on Rex's staff? http://www.wgr550.com/Kelly-likes-what-he-sees-with-the-Bills-and-wants-/20713047 Whatever unofficial job Kelly had with the Bills during Mr Wilsons' ownership, appears to not exist any more.
  10. I really like Whaley...
  11. Yeah, I don't think they are always wrong...but the arguments, or points, just get so repetitive...made me realize, I just don't need that much coverage...
  12. Funny, I almost thought of starting a similar thread about Kim Pegula...but figured it would only make it worse....
  13. I for one, won't be shocked if there is a GR shakeup of some kind, before next football season. I realize, Pegula does not own GR55, but he has commented in the past on the negativity of the station as it pertained to their coverage of the Sabres, and I wouldn't be shocked if, to some degree, Pegula empathies with Doug Marrone, and the role that the local media is perceived to have played in his decision to opt out of his contract. Pegula can't tell GR who and who not to hire, but he owns the only two pro sports teams in town...he can have some influence. I personally don't hate any of the GR guys, though I do find their repetitive discussions less than good radio. Not sure exactly what I want, I just don't want what they are selling. This past summer, I was so amped up for the football season (more so than in a number of years) but about a week or two into training camp, I just couldn't take listening any more. The topic of discussion on the morning show as well as the drive time show seemed to be "EJ sucks"...they were killing my enthusiasm for the season by the minute. I know it isn't their job to be a PR machine for the Bills or Sabres, but each host dwelling on their own particular pet gripe is just tough to listen to.
  14. Strait is the walks the line, perfectly, between traditional and more commercial contemporary country. I think when the dust settles, 30 years from now, he will be one of the handful of acts from this time period that will be remembered as "real country." He does the sappy ballad here and there, but his career has just been amazingly consistent. Songs like "All My Exes Live in Texas", "Amarillo By Morning" and "Baby's Gotten Good at Goodbyes" are just country classics that belong right there with the best of Merle Haggard, Cash, the rest...
  15. I made that drive about 20 years ago....beautiful.

  17. That was a great read. I am pretty happy about Rex coming to Buffalo, but I will admit, I thought he was a bit of a buffoon early on...he did endear me, however, when he flipped off the Dolphins fans at the MMA event...had almost forgotten about that...thanks for the link!
  18. Yeah... I just think, if he plays next year, it will be in Denver. I think he has too much pride to just latch on to any team, just to keep playing. And, I think Elway likes him way too much to just out and out cut him.
  19. Right...I have seen it suggested a few times here in the last few days t hat the Bill should bring in Brian Hoyer...has anyone watched this guy play, other than against the Bills? He is pretty wretched. But, hey, he isn't EJ Manuel....
  20. Chicago's defense is horrendous. Like, really, really awful. They do have, on paper anyways, a very talented offense, minus offensive line. We all know how well Marrone did with the O-line in Buffalo...
  21. You don't like pudding?
  22. True...but what if Pepper would rather be the DC with the Giants than with the Bills?
  23. I thought I heard that the interviews, or at least some, were being conducted in Florida.
