  1. Sammy a free agent after this year. Who knows where he will be next year. Sammy will go to the highest bidder...and, imho, was the reason the bills sent him on his way. (got something instead of nothing.) donald will be payed.
  2. So the backup tackle for the game sunday will be the guy we claimed from the Pats?
  3. I watched Rosen on the UCLA game last weekend, and he is accurate and smart. Not opposed to getting him...haven't seen some of the others.
  4. Actually, the stat's on deep ball completions etc show TT to be among the best in the league the last few years. Others on this board can bury you with data, but I can't...but I have read their prior posts.
  5. Perhaps his hip is worse than reported....he didn't get many calls during the game for sure.
  6. Only caught about the first 2/3 of the game last night, but, seasons at NEw Era for many year....my view of Gilmore, especially last year, was he was soft on the run. Were I game planning aganst the Pats, I would run Gilmores way often and see if he will stick his head in there. Experience says he will wiff a lot...........
  7. Last year at the night Jets game, the crowd knocked over some of the barriers at the gate and the barriers almost hit us.....so, things are still risky at the game if the crowd (drunk or not) gets pushy at the gate. No arrests, just hazardous behavior
  8. Back in the day, the ACL was a two year injury. (see Emerson Boozer former Jets great)
  9. Yes, this is correct. This is really a pickem kind of game, with incompetence on both sides of the field. Haven't seen anything that leads me to favor the Bills over Jets in terms of objective data. So, taking 9 points is a no brainer. (Wish I was in Vegas)
  10. Brooks is slow and not very smart. I will give you he is a hitter, but no place for him here imho.
  11. Character guy....and can play...but slow by pro standards......imho will not be a practice squad guy.
  12. So the fans at the stadium will get to pay to see a pro who has 2 or 3 days of practice with the team. Oh yeh, also two weeks three years ago with one of the coaches. I am thinking having 3 qb's for the preseason was a bad misjudgement. I don't care of trading CJ, just that three was to thin. I remember some years ago the Bills lost two starting safeties in one game....and a guy in the stands that day (Bill Simpson) started at safety the next week......(not making this up...who recalls the year?) Anyhow, at the most impt position...the Bills went with zero insurance....and now the fans will get to see an unprepared QB play..........the Bean/McD administration is not looking much less inept than the Whaley/et al administration at this point.
  13. Yes, but, he is recovering from injury.....and who knows if he ever returns to form. So the discount is justified imho.
  14. Yes, that is the recent trend....its not good imho...because life is full of wins and losses, and everybody needs to learn to process both. win graciously, and how to pick yourself up and try again when you don't.
  15. Ahhhh...so far, Goff is a dumpster fire...............
  16. The pc culture thing is off base in the extreme. I have had to send three granddaughters off to college this fall...and had the "PC" discussion with all three. Tried to innoculate them from what the campus folks are mostly selling. They all see it.....the only one who has college under her belt (2 years) says that certain profs do sell the line in their classes, and those who disagree in class are punished grade wise. Smart folks keep their mouth shut in those classes. However, this PC driven activity does not occur in technically based classes (math and sciences) as their really isn't any relevance to the PC notions. Sending kids off to college, better warn them to think themselves, don't buy a left wing doctrine until you think it through. As for Shady........man has his own view, and I mostly agree....but I think the $ part of the discussion is also a significant problem.....Kap wants big money, and backups don't make what he was making in SF...or anywhere near it. Would not surprise me if Kap were to sit out a year, and get a shot at a reduced salary level (like vet minimum with incentives) with somebody next year. Its late now for Kap to sign and be of much use during the upcoming season....need time to learn a new O.
  17. Manuel never had it....strong INACCURATE arm....I saw that in person. Lots of intangibles, but they don't win football games.
  18. I was hoping they took Beckham from LSU....Giants did and that worked out for them.....bills could have had him with their #8 pcik.....that was Whaley.
  19. He played behind a great D line in LA....Aaron Donald et al. Lets settle for capable at this point....as the Bills struggle to put 4 db's on the field who can play.
  20. Yes, strong inaccurate arm....I saw to many throws miss the wr by 10 yards..........being a nice guy and having your head on straight isn't a fix for lack of skills. The Whaley Marrone confrontation over this situation was classic, and Marrone was right.
  21. I thought Rambo had game......the Bills tried to get cheap w him....and he signed elsewhere. I hitter and can intercept his share as well as I recall. Good signing imho.
  22. Its not the league alone. The provision on weed is in the CBA...and the union also supports the CBA...as it was jointly written and adopted. So, don't kit on Goodell for this one........the league is honoring the CBA......and the players union would not have it any other way.
  23. If Mccoy runs for 1200-1400 yards, you will see him again imho. Probowl rb's don't grow on trees....if he is still in top form....none better.
  24. I saw an interesting segment (sorry, no link) w Colin Cowherd where he talked about this. He said an Eli like intervention (no San Diego) may be in the works if Buffalo, Cleveland, or the Jets are in the position to draft him. (Cowherd's order) Said those franchises have not earned the right to draft such a good prospect. I now hope one of those cities draft him and have the stones to stick with the rights they have in the draft, including letting him sit out a couple of years so he can reenter if it goes that far. I don't like Cowherd, but, happened to catch that segment today.
  25. As long as he is putting 11 men (not 10) on the field each play, he gets year 3...........
