  1. Wrong. The goal was to WIN in the Super Bowl, not just go there.
  2. Lots of truth here....but, the receiver group was really dinged up. All w physical problems. I read to day Beasley played the playoffs with a broken fibula. (smaller bone in the leg) tough guy, yes. could somebody else have done better if 100% healthy? How about McKenzie? Diggs oblilque problems. Brown leg problems. Davis ankle problems. the guys of the practice squad who were healthy might have brought the separation that was missing. KC was faster. Faster than the gimpy receivers. Now, the O line....terrible....need a rework there for sure. Need a running back. Yeldon saw almost first action of the year, and looked miles better than Singletary who is likely not an NFL back imho. to slow, to small. shifty...ok, I will buy that. So, Josh can't do it all. The receivers were game, but I could see signs of the pain and lack of burst from the whole lot. Where oh where was Kenny Sills. on the 53 but not active.
  3. Your summary is correct. three dinged receivers, and that doesn't count Diggs oblique. But, also a O line that couldn't keep allen clean and, a D that could stop the Chiefs O. What what's with Hughes and D Johnson out in coverage. Those guys looked like statues out there w the db's and wr's.
  4. Inaccurate pictorial.....Allen is taller than Mahones by a couple of inches.
  5. With the lower cap next year, Sammy won't be in KC.....will be looking for a home for a lot less money, and possibly may be done.
  6. Only if Bass gets hurt....which we learned last year can happen as Haush went down...ended his career really. Especially w Bass who thinks he is a football player and will try to make a tackle. (good for him really)
  7. Being a business oriented paper, the WSJ has few if any sports articles, but occasionally they have something. The writers are not usually sports guys as a profession when they do this....more business perspective than many.
  8. I hope this board can open this link. good article. https://www.wsj.com/articles/bills-chiefs-josh-allen-stefon-diggs-11611261040?mod=hp_featst_pos5
  9. I thought that all coaches below the level of Head Coach were considered equilivant level, and interview c ould be refused. Of course, if its an opportunity to move up in responsibility I am guessing the Bills would promote his interests and let him interview. In the corporate world I was in for 35 years, you could keep such an individual from interviewing for another lateral position if you had plans to promote them within one year.
  10. Some folks of that name in Niagara Falls as well.
  11. I was there...top 1 or 2 for sure. Has anybody mentioned "the hit".....in the 60's when Bills lb Mike Stratton put a shoulder into the ribs of Keith Lincoln in the afc title game, and broke is ribs. Bills were winners that day, the photo of the hit was around for three or four decades. Younger posters here won't remember, of course.
  12. In our family, we call him 4th quarter Josh....because he is always pulling it out when its needed. He really did that in Arizona this year as well with that c onnection to Diggs....only to lose to the hail mary event. I hope this y ear is the first of a number for him, the team seems to have the capability. Not only the players, but the coaches are right imho. So, like most of us, we are all in on Josh.
  13. Not sure about the D side. Edmunds, Milano are both important and coming up soon. The dip in the cap for next year will hurt retention for sure. We are gonna need some good draft picks who can play some. But, playing rookies isn't McD's style (yeh, ok, Moss) I wonder about Edmunds...good sometimes, but , not in the same class as Allen. Problem is I t hink objective thought by Bean/McD might be clouded here because Edmunds was their first round pick. Same problem with Ford, although on the hoof he does look like a tackle. If I were Josh's negotiator, I would wait for the cap to go back up to get the best deal for him. Josh will be paid, likely 20odd percent of the cap......easier way to think about it. 25% of 175 mil is about 40. But, 25% of 200 is 50.......we'll see.
  14. Kumerow is back....if he cleared the COVID protocols. He spent enough time w the Bills to know the playbook. He did catch one for a TD I recall. So, imho, he was resigned because of the perhaps 12 weeks he was with us. Sills is a talent, but, the bills have a big playbook, and he has only two weeks to learn it. So, if we need a callup, Jake may be it. And K can help on special teams as well.
  15. Quite a well traveled year he is having...in order the Packers, the Bills, the Saints, and now the Bills again.
  16. He is at the end of his career at about 62 I think. Give him a four or 5 year contract at $5 or 6 million a year, and he can get out after, whether he gets fired during the term of the contract or not. Rex R had a 5 year $5mil per year contract, and he collected every penny even though he was let go after less than two years. So, imho, he would have to go if he got the offer. He probabily makes 2+ mil with the Bills I am guessing, but don't know. I like that long tall safety at ND......reminded me of John Pitts. You younger guys need to look him up.
  17. Interesting comments here supporting a dome. There was a time when the Bills considered playing outside in the elements to their advantage during the winter, as other teams didn't practice in the conditions common for the Bills. Since the field house....the advantage has evaporated. The coaches like what they can get done inside, and the players union has limited the practice time of the players, outside practice is minimized. Yes, the home team should know the winds better than the visitors. Last night I sensed that Allen, Bass were as clueless as were the Ravens about how to handle the stadium winds....shouldn't be that way.
  18. Same plan will contain the guy at KC.
  19. The NYS government has decided you are not competent to make your own choice here. I think you should have the right to choose, but, my view doesn't matter. And, I think the stadiuim limit number is arbitrary...using the uppers would allow lots more fans in. I think 10000 in the lower and 6000 in the uppers would be fine if they spread out. But, the state will talk about restroom facilities and other such things as the reason they will keep the number low. If you want to change that mentality at the state, you will have to vote to support your view. But, upstate, we have little chance imho.
  20. I guess it would surprise me....as LF took a fail in Minn. But, then again, Marv Levy took a fail in KC and came back to lead the Bills to greatness.
  21. Anthony Lynn did a good job replacing Roman when Wrex fired Roman. Just sayin...... Daboll and Herbert might work big time. But, you never know....chemistry is an unpredictable thing. Josh Allen is the biggest part of this years success and another O system, now, would have to be learned.....however, Josh is now big time NLF trained and will flourish whoever is OC. I see a lot of continuity being maintained however. I don't know how to do that organizationally, but that is what McD is hired to do. Lets let him do it. (Bean will help if asked, but its McD's staff)
  22. Not without the Bills permission, and not clear that will be forthcoming. Unless, of course, contracts are up. No contract means free to go.
  23. I will speculate the Bills could go short in another position and elevate Williams and Yeldon. See how the weather and the game goes. Might need a power back, and Moss was that guy. Williams would be that guy if they need to grind it out in the snow. Yeldon in a pro though, and an excellent receiver. Would not be surprised to see him out there. Lets find out what Daboll wants to do, and he will call the shot. And, the idea here is both might be active.
  24. Nice the Bills have so many guys capable of having a big game and making a big play.
