Chiefs Walter Payton M.O.T.Y. Prospect

is this for real? Apparently, teams just nominate their worst guys now. -
Weather is the Bills kryptonite....

This is why I have gone on record advocating that we play all games in Arizona. Terry— git r Done! -
one day we can all hope and dream for a game when Kumerow, Duke, and Antonio Williams will all be active and on the field at the same time.

From what I read, ravens do this as a courtesy to these guys— Cut them right away so it frees them up. Did the same to RG3 Today too, I guess.

Kind of interested in how KC defends the Bills. In the first game, they blitzed Josh a lot. He was pretty so-so against it, making them pay with his legs a few times, but otherwise didn’t do much damage finding open guys in the passing game. Will they blitz him, or rush 4 and try to play coverage, similar to what Baltimore mostly did?

Dumb question— but could one of the remaining playoff teams sign him, similar to Kenny Stills or Freeman?

I just watched the game highlights from last game, and am kind of shocked at how we played those guys and the success we had. Outside of Kelce juking out Edmunds on an option route for a TD, we kept both Hill and Kelce in check. The guy that hurt us in the passing game was their 2nd or 3rd receiver (DeMarcus Robinson). i am also surprised that our rush did pretty good in Mahomes and we even blitzed him with some success. in terms of the Run d, the d-line just got gashed, and our Lb’s and safeties were just missing lots of tackles. Maybe they run the same scheme and hope they cleaned up the execution errors. I will say that we were pretty close to making that last one a game. They scored a a TD on a 4th and 1, and we missed a long FG before the end of the half. Pretty good, for getting totally gouged in the run game.

The running game has to be there vs KC this week.
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Toyo321's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One thing that KC does great, which I wish we replicated more, is their jet sweeps. They constantly run them, and always seem to bust one for a longish gain. They also almost always motion the jet sweep. We have occasional success with it, but not the weekly success KC has. -
Is Matt Milano the Bill's MVP
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to BITE ME's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually think Antonio Williams is the MVP. We are undefeated in games where he scores at least 2 TD’s. -
The “team friendly” deal talk only comes down the line after you make a boatload of money. They’re going to pay him a lot of money. Maybe in 3-4 years, if the Bills need cap relief, he will help them out and restructure. But he wouldn’t be smart to take less now, and I doubt the Bills would ever even consider asking him to do that now. It’s almost disrespectful.

This is where I am at. I think we can win in a shoot out. i do think there will be some timely runs for us, including on draws out of shotgun. What’s interesting too is that we quietly went away from a number of very effective runs we used earlier in the year (inside traps; that delayed sort of stretch draw out of shotgun). I am wondering if we have been saving some of those and might dust them off. -
Re the running game, I had been thinking that Daboll has a lot up his sleeve re getting Singletary involved a lot this week. I think we will commit to running a bit more and you can tell the oline is champing at the bit to run the ball. Those linemen were going nuts when we got a few good runs last week. They want to pound the rock.

Missing that new coach and GM excitement
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to DisplacedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The “first kiss” analogy doesn’t work here. I think the more apt analogy is this— hiring a new coach or GM is like filing for bankruptcy and having to start over. Your Credit is terrible, you still owe a bunch of money, you have a lot of problems, and your future prospects are risky and unknown. No thanks. -
This is where I am at. I really don’t like a lot of those chiefs players. But Mahomes is great. this may not happen, but it would be great to have his status determined and hopefully confirmed ASAP. I think the uncertainty over his condition is going to just detract from the run-up to what should be a great game.

Wyatt Teller 1 of the Best OG in NFL .
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One thing I remember about Teller was his mom was super mad when he got traded— I remember she went to Twitter to express her displeasure.
