  1. Okay, I agree with you. 😁
  2. I think that was Schottenheimer. and people forget how they lost that game. The chargers had a game-clinching interception on 4th down. The chargers DB then fumbled the ball after the pick, recovered by the Pats, who went onto score and win. Classic patriots black magic luck.
  3. I love Allen, but no one is more clutch than Mahomes. And that’s why they always win in the playoffs.
  4. Agree. Both are first ballot HOF’s. Both clutch. One was just a little better than the other.
  5. I had the same thought. Our team (esp the defense) plays much better and differently with a lead. Gets the other team to be more 1-dimensional. Give me the ball first and get up 7-0.
  6. But he couldn’t beat the GOAT, and that patriots team owned the Steelers in the playoffs. My point is that Allen and the Bills have the same issue with Mahomes And the chiefs. Coaching probably isn’t going to change it. The better bet is the stars align and we have better matchups and can avoid the chiefs in the playoffs.
  7. Big Ben never beat the patriots in the playoffs. He’s lucky that other teams did, so he could get to those super bowls. So much of SB success is dependent on things like that— matchups, seeding, and a few plays here or there.
  8. “Odell, I have a Mr. Buddy Nix on Line 1 for you.”
  9. How was Puka not wide open on that last goal to go play?
  10. They are quadrupling Puka.
  11. This is making me think that last week was a total “stars align” perfectly anomaly. Add in there a blocked punt for a TD, and it was just the Rams best game and Bills worst game (at least on D/ST) of the year.
  12. plus, TNF games are usually trash.
  13. That’s my hope too. people forget that the only reason the Steelers won their two recent SBs was that some other team beat the Pats in the playoffs.
  14. oh, man. Looks like we will have backups at CB 1 and both safety positions. And against the Lions?! Could be pretty bad.
  15. if the Steelers beat the eagles, chiefs, bengals, and ravens in the next 4 weeks, then they deserve to be the 2 seed.
  16. Melvin Ingram is terrible against every team, except the Bills! It’s amazing!
  17. it’s like the lyrics of Mr. Brightside: “destiny is calling me!”
  18. They attempted at least two other RB screens in prior weeks and both were predictable failures. Then, suddenly, they pull off two beautiful ones! I wonder if some of it had to do with Ty?
  19. Lost in the shuffle of the Rams loss was the fact that the Bills ran two tremendously successful and well-timed RB screens. That includes the Ty Johnson TD. I believe those are the first successful RB screen plays since Chan Gailey dialed them up back in the day! was this just lucky blip? How did they magically pull this off? Is this the start of a new golden era in RB screens?
  20. Thought they played their best game against Albany, at least on the offensive side. Great passing and ball movement.
  21. The secretary dynamic can be fraught with peril. Don’t they have a special “secretary day” now? Good luck to you if you forget that day.
  22. there’s a Detroit pizza place I go to that has this amazing white pizza. Garlic cream sauce. Caramelized onions. Add dollops of ricotta and lemon zest on top, and covered with arugula and sweet roasted cherry tomatoes. it is awesome. You should try one of those!
  23. It was a spectacular tackle.
  24. Feels like a reflection of the product we are seeing, which is basically AAU ball: Great recruiter; not so great coach. Re defense, you sort of wonder whether we couldn’t add a real defensive specialist to this coaching staff to improve that part of it. I also think that we are young and you wonder if the upperclassmen transfer they bring in should be more rugged physical rebounder/defender types, to pair with the younger offensive talent. (EDIT: Ironically, a guy like Maliq Brown). I will say that Red deserves a very long leash. It’s going to take time to turn things around. I’d like to see him given an opportunity to do that.
