  1. I was texting with a buddy who is a Steelers fan and is at the game. We watched the 2004 draft together and he went nuts/angry when the Steelers picked Big Ben. He was like, “So stupid! They could have had Dunta Robinson!” We still remind him of that.
  2. I posted this elsewhere, but it got buried. Did Star play yesterday? I didn’t see him on the inactives, but also didn’t notice him once on the field.
  3. If the 50 MPH wind game didn’t convince the Bills to build a roof, then nothing will. But I hear you. Just time to pray for good weather conditions every Sunday from now on out.
  4. First off, my dome brothers, I have really enjoyed complaining about this all year with all of you. Second, all I can remember is Josh playing two games in perfect weather conditions in Arizona last year, and throwing absolute lasers. How can you not want that every week? Behold:
  5. Rodgers smartly going on after his team wrapped up a bye.
  6. Such a fond memory. I still can’t believe we blocked that FG.
  7. This is amazing. But I bet this would run afoul of some collusion rule in the NFL. This would have to be done probably without any sort of agreement. This is a true prisoner’s dilemma. If you try to win, you could risk the other side trying to beat you. But if you both cooperate to tie, you both “win.”
  8. I don’t mind playing the chargers in the AFCCG— whoever we play by that point, is going to be good. I just don’t want to face the chargers in the WC round. Would prefer to avoid a really strong passing team as best as we can given Tre is out.
  9. Agreed. The chargers are probably the last team I want the Bills to play. Great QB and receiver play, and super slippery RB. People forget we are now thin at corner. It is actually better for us to play the running teams of the league. SD (and Cincy) have too many good receivers to cover.
  10. Knox was wide open on like 70% of the plays yesterday. Josh just didn’t want to bother with 5-yard checkdowns. I think he was looking to just hit home runs for some reason.
  11. yeah, tough for browns to win, but not improbable. Game is in cleveland. And the browns actually smoked the bengals the first time. Plus, division games are weird.
  12. I am rooting for Browns over cincy, and Raiders over chargers. That would result in: 1) Tenn (bye) 2) Colts (7) v KC (2) 3) raiders (6) v Bills (3) 4) patriots (5) v Bengals (4)
  13. I love how Fox still has those dumb dancing robots, and these muted and dull colors on the broadcast. I just need Summerall’s flat voice, and it feels like the 4 PM Niner/Cowboys games I used to fall asleep during as a kid.
  14. hey, at least I got one prediction right!
  15. Saleh runs his defense and that’s it. I think it is all single high safety and cover 4. Josh feasts on that.
  16. Re-watching and thinking back on this game, I don’t think any of those 3 picks were bad decisions. We applaud Josh for throwing and completing those same tight passes all the time. It’s a bit unfair to suggest he wouldn’t have done so again, but for the tips and Beasley getting bumped off his route.
  17. Some of yesterday was Josh pressing to put on a show for the fans. I think some of that was also due to knowing Atlanta wasn’t good on the back end and the line gave him a ton of time. So, he was going to go for it— even though he had a lot of easier shorter throws open. I suspect if we were going against a D that really feared or respected, he would have played smarter, if that makes sense.
  18. I think his knee must have really been bothering him earlier this year, when he was bombing with Houston. Glad to see him bounce back. the ship sailed here when they drafted and kept Stevenson. No room on the roster for McK, Stevenson, and Roberts.
  19. ugh. I hate those 4:30 games.
  20. Agreed on both points. On the first, that really should have been illegal contact by the Falcons— it’s the exact definition of illegal contact. Defender hit/bumped Beasley Right as he was entering the window where josh thought he would be. And you are right re the second throw. Sanchez can’t fathom it because he could Never make that throw in a million years. I don’t fault any QB on a tipped ball interception— those are just fluke plays. I went back and re-watched it, and the defender hit Beasley. It was like a bump and slight grab that slowed him down. May not look like a lot, but I think it was the direct cause of the interception.
  21. Agree completely. When I went back and watched some of the routes, Beasley, for example, was limited— his quick cuts on the option routes in the snow just didn’t work. Same with Diggs. Falcons were mostly playing man, and our guys weren’t getting a ton of separation.
  22. Mostly in the second half and after he threw his picks, I noticed he had guys open underneath— and he would instead just take off and scramble for a few yards. I don’t know if that was him being gun shy, or just knowing we beat these guys today if we just move the chains and get out of our own way.
  23. Oh, you’re right on the Knox call. I didn’t realize Allen was outside of the pocket on that one. My bad, Land— haha.
