Mike Vrabel - Now hired as the new Patriots coach
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
agree. Coach meathead will have that team disciplined and they will play smart football. Pair him with Maye, and they will Be back in business in a year, unfortunately. -

re the Steelers, their defense can’t afford to be bad. It’s the highest paid unit in the entire league. It needs to carry them, and it didn’t. -

This offense is trash. Russ basically has one option past 15 yards there, and it’s into triple coverage. They would have been better running a draw there. -

I would love to see that play again. Did the ravens like fake like they were going to sub, and then ran back and snapped it? I swore I saw Hill head to the sideline -

Agree. Gives them a spark at least. -

Man, multiple 90-yard drives. Very good offensive gameplan by Baltimore. Not sure how this Steelers’ defense regroups. the Steelers offense is hopeless. They dont have enough juice to score over 20 points in a half. -

this is basically the best version of Greg Roman. It’s actually a brilliant plan. Makes you also think how much better that ravens might have been with Roman, but coupling Lamar with a HOF unicorn RB. -

The ravens aren’t even really trying to pass. -

I know it was a pick, but it was still an exquisite throw. The stride, the spiral! -

And yet someone on espn is saying, “I still have Herbert at number 4 on best QBs, slightly ahead of Josh Allen.” -

it’s scheme. When they have these big guys, they don’t play them the right way. I don’t get it, but would love to see a major philosophy change on the d line. -

These two defenses are great and filled with so much more talent than ours. Aggressive schemes too That said, there’s also no way our D would be allowing some of those huge plays, which is the one benefit of it. -
The New McDermott - Great Buscaglia Article
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall
he needed to add a sentence to the article, not to nit pick an otherwise good article. Like “John Beilein, who has coached in WNY and knows McD well….” Just seems a bit random to drop him in, especially since this is a national piece. -
I am not seeing any of those commercials. Are you googling, “how to get rid of genital stench?” a lot? 🤩
-
On NFL network, they are combining Lamar Jackson’s and Josh Allen’s playoff record In talking about them. they don’t really mention that Allen has the better playoff record and has historically some of the best playoff stats ever.

Good article. one weird thing— why did he interview and get a quote from John Beilein of all people? Different sport and disaster at his last coaching spot. Does Beilein know McD? Maybe I missed it. -
Broncos at Bills Sunday 1pm (confirmed)
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dumb question here. If we spread these guys out with 5-wide sets, how do they defend that? I know that’s not our usual MO, but that has to absolutely conflict a man-heavy/blitz team, right? They couldn’t dare rush more than 4, and if they did rush 4, that would leave basically only two defenders to have to account for Allen’s legs and to help in coverage. -
Is it just me or does ewers creep up unnecessarily in the pocket on just about every throw?

i was just re-watching the highlights of that game, and I hope you are right. They started a bit slow (bad pick by Allen), but really turned it on. One of Coleman’s best games too. -
Tough to say, since every multiple MVP winner has won a SB.
-
to me, there is no difference between Philip Rivers and pre-SB Peyton manning. Both great QBs. You can compare Lamar and Josh to both or either. Can’t really compare either to Peyton manning after he won his SB’s. The reality is that ravens and bills fans can debate in good fun about their QBs. But their legacies will be determined by SBs. Sort of unfair, but true.

Philip Rivers was a great QB!! At this point, both Lamar and Josh compare pretty well to him. Great QBs who haven’t been to a SB.

Looks like Brady won't return as a FOX analyst for 2025
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
It seems like he can carefully navigate around the issue. He just can’t criticize teams and officials. That might be a pleasant surprise. An announcer who is simply going to analyze the plays on the field!!
