  1. Croom is back at UPS I assume....or in the oil field somewhere...
  2. It's gotta help through DJB. Terry and Kim want grandkids. This is a Tom Coughlin, Chris Snee type thing... ?
  3. I had a lot of respect for Croom before, but dating the owner's daughter? He's !@#$ing brilliant. Changing my Moulds jersey to Croom right now.
  4. https://www.patspulpit.com/2018/1/16/16891982/advanced-stats-report-brady-dominates-in-middle-of-the-field-pass-rush-shines Peterman is good over the middle and to the QB's short and mid-left (across body) where he gets more leverage. He sucks (badly) to the right. Above is a typical Brady game (very few throws the right). Think Daboll has noticed this? D-Coordinators will ignore the right if Peterman plays -- but that's okay if we flood the middle and left..... and Daboll knows how to scheme this. Rico hung Peterman out to dry last year with a passing scheme that ignored what he does well. Daboll will not do the same.
  5. Listen to McD's press conference from Friday. Tim Graham kept pushing him to answer how much they were treating this like a regular season game. McD finally said around 50% --they were more interested in the routine of the week than scheming for the Bengals. https://www.buffalobills.com/video/sean-mcdermott-it-gets-right-back-to-routine Do you really think they would put Groy or Ducasse one on one with Geno Atkins in a regular season game? It could have killed Josh -- but they did it. That is vanilla as it gets. I love the way Josh held up. I love his toughness. What I saw today has me even more excited. The one miss was the would-be TD to Clay -- but that will come. Other than that I saw a lot of talent and toughness from the kid. Make no mistake, this will be a challenging year, just like last year. We need more talent on the O-Line but we also need to cover our deficiencies through real game planning. To go ass over tea kettles about this game is an overreaction. Our coaching staff last year proved it can scheme and Daboll is light years ahead of Rico. Let's hold off on trashing this season before the regular season starts.
  6. I counted 12 rounds....that was one of the most horrifying things I have ever heard......I just can't fathom wanting to kill or harm another human being. My dad talked to me a lot about his WWII experience and how hard it was to harm another human being -- even though he was in a kill or be killed situation. I just can't understand wanting to harm someone who is not threatening you in any way. Human emotion and intellect is fragile, however, this anger trigger; this mental anguish; this mental illness affliction is something we need to get better at diagnosing and assessing. We spend so much on cancer research...and it's warranted...I hope our focus begins to treat mental illness in the same vein. God bless us all.
  7. !@#$ing Daboll. Stealing a wing from Josh....so pissed right now...
  8. I think Eric Wood and Ryan Groy had a lot to do with this.
  9. I was so fortunate in the late 70's. My HS Head Coach was a former University of Michigan offensive lineman. He was really smart and realized that tearing us down during the summer was counterproductive. He was enlightened. He was definitely not the norm 40 years ago. We had weed out drills - burpees, a steep hill just to the side of the practice field for repeat sprints, Oklahoma's, etc. but all done in moderation. We usually had about 5-10% of the team quit each summer before scrimmages started. The hill sprints were the real weed out--but there was never water withheld or any other BS. We had the most successful 4 year run in the school's history. I still talk with coach regularly today. I don't think it's a coincidence that from my class and the class immediately before and after me, there are 9 corporate CEO's of $50 Million + revenue companies from a 65 man squad (including a Fortune 25 company Chairman and CEO). All this from a public HS in a small town in rural Ohio. Coach is an amazing leader who taught us about much more than football. To bring it back to the Bills, McD's demeanor, faith, and personality remind me a lot of him.
  10. Damn...at his best he's an intelligent, funny and engaging guy. At his worst, likely off his meds, he's just a mess (my technical term). I hope he gets help, stays on meds...very sad.
  11. #KellyTough Hearing some of the details of Jim's battle with cancer both makes me sad and fills me with greater admiration for Jim...Even Patriots, Dolphins and Jets fans pray for Jim.
  12. Did she check her hat for Snakes? Steve did....
  13. I understand this feeling completely, but I would rather focus on winning from play one rather than targeting Ramsey. Beat him and the Jags with a game plan that they can't stop rather than focusing on the loud mouth.
  14. Loved it. McD is a creative young coach who knows how to engage his players.
  15. CB26, Yolo--thanks to you both for tracking the news and interviews for TBD. You both are awesome. Dawkins has a learning disability. The interview with him, Murph and Taker is really good. I never knew about the learning disability until the interview. Makes me respect him even more. A really great young man who I am proud plays for the Bills.
  16. When I showed Tom Donahoe my notebooks, I had him like a catfish....just had to reel him in...
  17. Coach McDermott said in this AM's media time that Corey is in that transition phase between digesting the playbook and being expected to know the playbook. He said they have a plan for Corey this week. They want him to play fast and physical. I don't usually read too much into what is said in the Q&A's with the media, but I wouldn't be surprised if they focus Corey on one position this week. It's most likely the outside as opposed to the slot. Check to see if he has mastered the plays for the outside receiver position. Even though I think playing inside in a 3 or 4 wide will create some tremendous mismatches, he doesn't appear to be that advanced through the playbook yet. I think Corey's ability to translate the paper of the playbook into playmaking on the field the next three weeks is key to him being part of the final 53. A lot of folks think him being on the final 53 is assured, however, just based on how carefully coach McD chose his words to answer questions about Corey today, I would say that his position on the final 53 is not assured.
  18. God dammit Josh..that's not the way you run an out. Gotta be crisper on that cut...quit rounding **** off...
  19. Jesus, Kyle must have thought he was trying to fluff a pillow...
  20. My favorite trouble club...
  21. If no one's watching is it really cheating?
  22. Let me see if I understand, "What is the name of the player on second base?"
  23. Friday's game is going to be a better assessment of the O-line and QBs. McDermott and Rivera are tight and probably had some conversations about what they wanted to work on and accommodated each other to a certain extent. Greggo still carries a large chip on his shoulder about the Bills and he's enough of an "ass" to treat this more like a regular season game with heavy pressure, blitz packages and a little more than the cursory pre-season game planning. I think this will be a really good test for the OL and the QBs and am looking forward to seeing it. I believe Daboll will anticipate this and have some answers.
  24. Gregggggo will scheme to test them next week. I can almost guarantee it. He's still pissed about being fired. They have some talent on the DL in Cleveland.
  25. 6'6" 340 lbs? Damn...introduce him to Beane... ?
