Five things to know about new Bills CB Tre'Davious White By Jay Skurski Published Thu, Apr 27, 2017 1. He contributed early in a loaded LSU secondary 2. His character is top notch. White wore jersey No. 18 at LSU as a junior and senior. That number is reserved for players who lead “on and off the field” with a selfless attitude. 3. He’s intelligent … and versatile. White was the valedictorian at Green Oaks High School in Shreveport. 4. White became the first non-offensive player in LSU history to score touchdowns in the first two games of a season when he returned an interception 21 yards for a score against Wisconsin and a punt 60 yards for a touchdown against Jacksonville State in 2016. 5. He’s got the ball skills McDermott is after. http://buffalonews.com/2017/04/27/1995689/

If Bills Don't Get A Franchise QB In 2018
ALF replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In 2018 AJ McCarron will be a RFA and Garoppolo a UFA Teddy Bridgewater did not have his 5th year option picked up for 2018, bad injury though -
The Bills get 3 starters instead of 1 , good deal imo

That made me feel good plus a extra 3rd and a 1st next year is great, well done Doug

McDermott: Teams Calling the Bills about the # 10 Pick
ALF replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Deep draft ,do it move down for the right price. I like OJ but what if Logan Thomas could take his place -
And This is What Makes the Browns, the Browns
ALF replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I were the Browns GM , draft Garrett at #1 , maybe trade for Sheldon Richardson . If Trubisky is not there at 12 try to work a trade to the team that drafted him. They have plenty of draft picks , otherwise QB in 2018 for sure. -
I still would take Chad in the late 5th rd , have to gamble at qb

I have not seen a update on Ragland since this one in Jan According to Matthew Fairburn, Ragland’s rehab is progressing fairly smoothly, and although he is not yet cutting, he should be ready to return in August. ACL tears usually take 7-12 months to heal, and since Ragland tore his last August, it makes sense to target that month as the one where he will try to be full-go again. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/1/9/14212896/reggie-ragland-update-injury-return-training-camp-2017

TG on Whaley & McD sounds to be in charge update
ALF replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To be fair to Doug , someone is finding good players outside the draft. He drafted players to fit Rex 3-4 D He will draft players to fit McD 4-3 D Finding a franchise QB out of college spread offense is very difficult to say the least. Trading up for Sammy was a dumb move imo -
He's been scouted by the Bills "In a year where the quarterback class isn’t the deepest, there may be some fireworks for Sloter during the NFL Draft. He talked to 15 scouts after his Pro Day, and Buffalo, Washington, Arizona, Green Bay, San Francisco and his hometown Atlanta Falcons have all stayed in touch. In fact, he got a second shot to impress the Falcons in the past week." http://herosports.com/news/nfl-draft-kyle-sloter-northern-colorado-challenging-path-fcs-ajaj

Patriots have tried to sign Butler to a long-term deal repeatedly and the cornerback is “looking for the moon and then some.” http://itiswhatitis.weei.com/sports/newengland/football/patriots/2017/03/09/mike-lombardi-malcolm-butler-looking-for-the-moon-and-then-some-with-new-contract/ Not bad for a UDFA Saints leaning against Malcolm Butler trade http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000801995/article/saints-leaning-against-malcolm-butler-trade

Chart of national debt 1950-1999 09/30/1981 $ 997,855,000,000.00 less then $1T then the Reagan tax cuts happen , hmm https://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/reports/pd/histdebt/histdebt_histo4.htm -
Browns should play Brock this season and go for QB in 2018. $16M for one more tank ,they can say they were trying, wink, wink

The Bills need a trainer like this one Eric Weddle: Ravens will be 'strongest' team in history The Ravens are channeling their health hopes through one man: director of performance Steve Saunders, who has one veteran raving and making bold predictions. "I can guarantee you this: We will be the strongest, most in-shape Ravens team that this team has ever had," safety Eric Weddle said, via ESPN. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000801943/article/eric-weddle-ravens-will-be-strongest-team-in-history As if Eric did not hit hard enough in the past , watch out

WR Mike Williams Visited Bills today

The Bills have more pressing needs then a WR at 10 imo I hope Logan Thomas can be the tall target Taylor can see and keep throwing to Sammy and Clay. -
One NFL team called Browns to trade for #1 to draft a QB.
ALF replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Trubisky is there at 10 do the Bills trade down to 12 for the Browns to draft him ? I would do it for a extra 2nd rd pick. If Trubisky is gone before 10 , I would try to trade down also. This will be a very interesting draft to say the least. -
He's taking a big risk at re-injuring that foot .

McDermott Coaching Style - Good or Bad
ALF replied to PolishDave's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jerry Hughes likes the less complicated , more teaching style of McD which is the most important way to me. The zone D might take time for the players to get in sync with the playbook. It will take more then 1 draft to fix this roster, just hope for signs of progress this season. -
