If you are not gassing your players are going to be gassed by the 4th. The DL runs much more than thr OL because they are chasing players on offense as for drafting—- it’s much much harder to get a (1) good pass rushing DE , (2) a very good OT, (3) a QB , (4) am impact LB, and (5) a top CB, after the 1st round. You can find some players sfter the 1st but they have flaws/ weaknesses that you might be able to work on. you can get decent WRs, TEs, RBs in the 3rd-6th rounds. Look over draft history of receivers/ RBs being drafted between 1st vs those 3rd or later.

They are not special. They played 2 week divisions.in nfc north and slc south they were 7-1 in one score games. they got lions and jags ehrn they weren’t playing their best. Their non common were saints, cards, and Steelers.

i think scheduling will not put KC-BUF-CIN games in late devember. this year had buffalo best minnesota or jets or dolphins and they were two games up on Cincy thry woukd have rested thrir starters knowing they could face them in the playoffs so why show the playbook. i expect the final 7 games of the season to be 3 division games road game at chargers, at eagles ( early december ) hosting jacksonville , den/ raiders non London game jacksonville an chargers game could be one of those flex Saturday games

Division rivalry games usually had one for league network and ine on national prime time. It was rare to have both in primetime in the schedule. If it occurred it was due to flexing. FOX wants a DH to lead into the Sunday World Series game both networks will get DH during the November ratings month. FOX might request an early season single game week to align with MLS scheduling where most markets get 1 pm early and 430 soccer game. Those with late game get a different 130 pm game stadium and hotel availability is a factor in scheduling. When buffalo hosted the world junior hockey tourney from Dec 25-Jan 5 they ask for no home games during that period. The first time thry hosted, the nfl missed the message. I’ve seen a few games where they skip the 2 minute warning tv time out and just stop the click fir 30 seconds. as I said….. if you have many scoring attempts with FGs or XPs and this KOs will extend the game. in the 1st half each team scored 4 time with 9 KOs and other punts. Each KO adds about 2 minutes without a commercial break. the number of possessions in the first half was about the same as the entire ravens/ bengals game. 46 of 142 snaps were running plays. The rest we’re passing which added up on dead time because click stops.

commercials wasnt the reason. when you have a bunch of KOs/ P/ possession changes and injury stoppages as well as play counts you make the game longer. in the game between it and ravens/ bengals MIA/BUF had 40+ more ball snaps…most were passes which stops clock. balt/ cin had something like 16 possession changes. MIA/BUF had something like 31. BUF/MIA had more scoring plays which involve XP/KOs vs punts and that adds time to the game which comes with ad breaks. Evrn without a commercial break it takes at least 2 minutes from XP try to KO ball….and the game clock isn’t running. in hockey….you have more goals and whistles and penalties you get a longer game in basketball you have high foul counts correlate to longer games…especially in late 4th quartet with fouls and time out usage snd subs. i haven’t been able to find the longest game played without OT or weather/ power outage delays.
