I will say the deck is stacked against him and the teams response is out of his control. In the sense of they could come out flat vs KC and it will be held against McD not the players as far as media. The narrative will be much more amplified because of this national story. I think it was a mistake owning up to the 9/11 story because it gives the article credibility. The Ravens want to incentivize Lamar to sign by signing OBJ. If giving OBJ 15mil helps Lamar get closer to signing and put pen to paper its WELL worth the lack of production they will receive

The Lamar stuff is so confusing. He bet on himself and lost and then doubled down by not getting an Agent so the restricted free agency period essentially is a bust. So now his best offer is going to be the offer sitting on the table that the Ravens are giving him. Just crazy stuff
