I understand that at present, CTE can only be diagnosed during autopsy. But, if a former football player is showing all the signs of a likely CTE diagnosis, is there any treatment that can prescribed?

People just need to stop believing in un-believable things. This story, from the beginning, was unbelievable. And shock- there wasn’t evidence to support it, AND they found evidence to the contrary!!!! I’m angry that the Bills didn’t keep him. They showed the replay a few times . I didn’t see any holding at all. Are there other angles you guys saw that show it? Otherwise idk how anyone could say it was a clear penalty. I’m not biased against the chiefs either. I was rooting for them to win just slightly. But I agree with the OP that the NFL isn’t what it used to be. I had forgotten the SB was even coming up. And I spent a lot of the game reading news articles on my phone because it wasn’t holding my attention.

I agree. QB is a different animal. You really are forced to be calm, it’s not a physical position like all the others. as far as QB goes tho, he is about as intense as you can get.

People are talking about toughness and all that. I think toughness is the wrong word- it’s intensity that we lack. watch Christian mccaffrey run. The guy runs with a such intensity and fury . It’s easily noticeable that something if different with him. You’ll never see motor or moss or cook run like that. but you can block like that too(incognito did) Tackle like that too(the best LBs do). Rush the passer like that too(Bosa, JJWatt, Donald…). Milano blitzes like that most times, but no one else on our team plays at that level. They don’t have to be as talented but they can play with that intensity. I do blame that on coaching.

Guys, teams are not going to be hiring any defensive coaches moving forward. The only exception will be somehow dominant D coaches with established QBs. This is a 100% QB driven passing league. Any good QB will get his OC a head coaching job, leaving a new OC to come in and mesh with your franchise QB and maybe a new system- that’s lots of turmoil. With a HC that is an offensive guy, your scheme is set in stone and won’t change. That consistency is paramount to success.

It’s too early to tell. If the dolfish or jest get a vet QB, they could be favorites. If the Bills add a stud WR and OL or two, we are clear favorites.

I remember wanting to sign Trent Williams years ago, but was told he was just too old. That had to be 4 years ago or more. Interesting note, Jason Peters started for the Cowboys this season at 41.

Missed the forest through all the trees. the Bills D constantly underperforms there talent level with poor scheme, underperforms there draft status, and underperforms in big moments. regardless of anything else, they are playing worse than they should be.
