  1. ***** the other regions. We still blow them away population-wise anyway! It's still the most populated megalopolis in N.America.
  2. Go figure... The modern electrical AC unit was invented in Buffalo (Willis Carrier, 1902)... And it makes the Sun Belt livable to this day.
  3. Don't show @Gugnythis: 😏
  4. https://www.flickr.com/photos/36853267@N06/8253755962 Native to South America: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monk_parakeet
  5. We have a colony of monk parakeets here on SE side of Chicago @ work. They over-winter in cocoons, in the oaks on the golf course next door in Burnham, Illinois. They come here to the lock to hang out by the locusts trees. Locusts have these pods. They probably enjoy them? Anyway... I found a picture of one of them at the lock, on the internet. I didn't take the picture, never really got to see them up close... You usually hear them making a fuss and arguing... Or flying by in flocks, flashes of green, etc... Here's the picture I found, probably a bird watcher... Claims it was taken here at the lock & dam. Not sure what the used focal length-wise, etc... Cute, but hostile little fockers!😆🤣
  6. ...We've got these chains hanging around our necks People wanna strangle us with them before we take our first breath Afraid of change, afraid of staying the same When temptation calls, we just look away This name is the hairshirt I wear And this hairshirt is woven from your brown hair This song is the cross that I bear Bear with me, bear with me, bear with me Be with me tonight I know that it isn't right... But be with me tonight...
  7. Well... With Clubbies, there's a roof over your head. Different viewing dynamic if everyone is standing. I don't think it's a socioeconomic thing as much as it is a physical limitations of the seats thing. Clubs are at a lower angle too. Just saying.
  8. Beware of this computer virus! "Health Care virus: Tests your system for a day, finds nothing wrong, and sends you a bill for $4,500."
  9. If it's cash... Then it's low. Give me the money and the bennys! Getting paid for life and not even working is where it's at! Of course they will pay out... To your beneficiaries.
  10. "Well above" should take into consideration the benefits. It always has... We've seemed to have moved the goalposts when benefits aren't taken into consideration. People still need those benefits, even if they have to make it come out of their own pockets Boils down to given a little bit more to cover a lot more expensive. All smoke and mirrors the numbers.
  11. Well it should! We are definitely slipping and the reason falls on business.
  12. Is that $55/hr. with or without benefits? Pension, health, life insurance, etc... What's overtime (over 40 hrs/week)... Time and 1/2? Without benefits that $55 drops down to "only" like $35/hour...
  13. 2 days travel between EDM & FLL is the wrinkle, right??
  14. Both. World War II changed a lot of attitudes.
  15. Good way to look at it! 😆
  16. Yeah it was. Times change... AND the SCOTUS most certainly got it wrong in 1896. Set our country back 60 years. And generations financially.
  17. ***** the Celtics! The NBA and Celtics stole the Buffalo Braves! Hope he dies a methhead. 😆
  18. It's because perceptions were changing in the face of the law after WWII Brown was 1954. Entities began testing the law. Even after 1954... The fight lingered. People just fought a global war. That was a huge game changer.
  19. Not when it's the law of the land. Maybe the SCOTUS and Southern states should apologize.
  20. The law of the land kept them out. Not the MLB. Segregation became official policy enforced by Southern law. Why does MLB owe an apology?
  21. This was my lunchbox, kindergarten 1973-'74: I was a badass! 😆 No wonder I am @BringBackFergy 's spirit animal! 😏
