  1. Random thought: How come you never see weeds on train tracks ballast? I can get a weed in any barren crack and not get it to grow on patches of lawn... LoL... WTF is going on here! And... Don't just say spray. I would think things are getting more and more enviro friendly. Old days they'd dump steam on the top growth... https://www.customtruck.com/blog/railroad-vegetation-management-a-crucial-clean-up-service-that-keeps-our-train-system-alive/ "...Railroads are mostly built on soil, rocks and stones that support plant life in varying degrees. The railroad ballast prism, which consists of rock over soil, is an inviting target for light-loving plants that, if left undisturbed, will regenerate themselves by root expansion, seeds or ground layering. These stubborn plants will then convert relatively sterile ballast to soil through decomposition of organic matter and breakdown of ballast rock, providing a growing site for a complex plant community. ..." "...Railroad vegetation management isn’t a glamorous topic of discussion outside concerned industries, but without this crucial service, railroads in the US and all over the world could come to a complete standstill and throw life as we know it into complete chaos." A penny for your thoughts: @BringBackFergy @Beerball @Mike in Horseheads @Gugny
  2. I am NOT gonna even view your link unless it's BearPorno! Thank @BringBackFergy for peddling that smut!
  3. In New Jersey, then yes... Isn't tipping the culture there? Can you do yourself $1200 worth of of electrical work? ...If the answer is no, then how can you say what it's worth? They have training to pay for, insurance, tools, etc... It's a skilled trade.
  4. It's easy... Because like the Mexican place we went to on Tuesday, they just add 18% gratuity... ...NOW, do you add more? When you get the check... They ask if you wanna add: 3%, 5%, 10%, or customize more... ...WWGD (WhatWouldGugnyDo)? [One time I screwed up and forgot they added 18%... I added 20%... LoL... For a whopping 38% gratuity!]
  5. ... So now you are one of the brave few, it's awful sad we need boys like you. I hope the day never comes for "Here's your live round son. Stock and barrel, safety, trigger, here's your gun." Well I knew, I could see, it was all cut and dried to me There was soldiers blue blood streaming inside your veins. There is a world outside of this room and when you meet it promise me You won't meet it with your gun taking aim. For I don't mean to argue, they've made a decent boy of you And I don't mean to spoil your home coming, But baby brother you should expect me to. ...
  6. Short scale or long scale, why can't it be long scale? 😏 ...What's a few more zeros!

  9. Fans of the Choco Taco are lamenting the news that it is being discontinued. https://www.npr.org/2022/07/26/1113692240/choco-taco-discontinued-ice-cream 😔😟🙁
  10. Don't the umps "mud" up game balls before a game? Doesn't that discolor them. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baseball_rubbing_mud "...While Lena Blackburne was a third-base coach for the Philadelphia Athletics baseball team, an umpire complained to him about the method used at the time, prompting Blackburne in 1938 to set out in search of better mud to use to rub against baseballs. Later that decade, Blackburne discovered the rubbing mud's location (said to be "near" Palmyra, New Jersey) and founded the company that he used to sell it. ..."
  11. I forget how it went? Why using an illegal bat have the HR count... Which at first it didn't, and Yankees won... But under protest they played it where they left off and Royals won. I was a NYY hater back then and pro-Royals... But you'd think hitting an HR with illegal bat, the HR wouldn't count, right?
  12. 1983 was a good year! This guy got really mad too! You go Lee! (NSFW, BTW)
  13. "...Acid, booze, and ass Needles, guns, and grass Lots of laughs, lots of laughs Everybody's saying that hell's the hippest way to go Well I don't think so But I'm gonna take a look around it though Blue, I love you..."
  14. This option. Life is too short to have set party rules... I was born on a Sunday afternoon...
  15. After I roll one for two:
  16. "I go out walking after midnight Out in the moonlight just like we used to do I'm always walking after midnight, searching for you I walk for miles along the highway Well, that's just my way of saying, I love you I'm always walking after midnight, searching for you..."
  17. Thnx... Interesting! "...Not only was little expected of those first pictures taken from space, but there was serious concern that taking pictures of other nations from orbit would be seen as an act of ill will and even one of war, as sovereign and sensitive nations might resent having pictures taken from orbit..." 60 years ago they were worried about setting nations off. Now... We just have Russia monkey stomping a sovereign country... Countries... /smdh Look! I see Egypt and the Red Sea! 😏
  18. "...The Space Centre explained: “The flag was disturbed as it was planted into the ground and kept this bent shape because of the lack of strong gravity on the Moon. “In video footage of the flag being planted into the Moon’s surface, it also appears to wave back and forth. “This is because when astronauts were planting it, they rotated it back and forth to better dig into the lunar soil, which of course made the flag ripple like a pendulum – without a breeze..." NICE troll job...
  19. No. No bar on the bottom. That's the solar wind moving it around. ?? Here's the explanation... Gravity and it was disturbed when planted: https://www.express.co.uk/news/science/1140849/NASA-Moon-landing-flag-Apollo-11-why-flag-wave-flap-NASA-hoax-conspiracy
  20. There's some gravity on the moon. You weigh a lot less on the moon... But not nothing. Perfect place to open a Jenny Craig. "The Moon's surface gravity is about 1/6th as powerful or about 1.6 meters per second per second. The Moon's surface gravity is weaker because it is far less massive than Earth. A body's surface gravity is proportional to its mass, but inversely proportional to the square of its radius." Because there is top bar running through the top seam of the flag. You can see the rigid piece clearly.
  21. What kinda idiots are they? Of course there's wind on the moon: "...The solar wind easily penetrates to the rocky surface of the Moon, where it can create mischief, largely because it stirs up solar dust. Apollo astronauts were alternately intrigued and annoyed by the wind. They saw auroras above the skyline believed to be dust particles swept from the lunar surface. ..." I always thought there was a light frame around the flag?
  22. Didn't film have to be developed back on Earth... So everything was radio? BUT the networks had mock sets made to try and get the point across in real-time... ...Which leads to, is there where the whole hoax thing got traction???
  23. You're such a woman! 😉 😜
