Look out, Mama, there's a white boat comin' up the river With a big red beacon and a flag and a man on the rail I think you'd better call John 'Cause it don't look like they're here to deliver the mail And they're less than a mile away I hope they didn't come to stay It's got numbers on the side and a gun And it's makin' big waves Daddy has gone, my brother's out hunting in the mountains Big John's been drinking since the river took Emmy Lou So the powers that be left me here to do the thinkin' And I just turned twenty-two I was wonderin' what to do And the closer they got The more those feelings grew...

Can a lock and dam operator get a job in Walla Walla? I hear they have nice lock and dams on the Columbia and Snake rivers!😊 Ice Harbor

Canadians have Fort Lauderdale. 😉 Anyway... Here's a geographical oddity. To get to Canada (Windsor, Ontario) 🇨🇦 from Detroit, you have to go south. I shityounotski! 😁

Whatever they are doing, but the West Seneca (Blossom, New York) address is on the Zeigler's brand. Looked up Zeigler's and they are out of Pennsylvania... ...Probably like funeral homes. Gobbled up by just a few holding companies out there, then try and keep the local appeal. I will buy some in produce next time I am in store and take a picture of the address on the label. It's the West Seneca address. I grew right down road, fished at the Blossom dam on Buffalo Creek off Clinton... I found this. Zeigler's (from Lansdale, PA) from 2011. Mayer Bros probably bought out too? https://www.burlingtoncountytimes.com/story/business/2011/04/13/m-h-zeigler-cider-company/17307832007/

...It's late September and I really should be back at school... I suppose I could collect my books and get on back to school Or steal my daddy's cue and make a living out of playing pool Or find myself a rock and roll band That needs a helpin' hand...

Wow... You can tell I don't look at prices, would be bad on "Price is Right"... Inflation: $7.99/gallon. https://www.jewelosco.com/shop/product-details.960062300.html There are 5 pounds of apples in a gallon of cider though!
-
They sell it here in supermarket under the "Zeigler's" brand. Has the address of Mayer Bros. in West Seneca on it. I want to say: $3.99... Cheaper in the Fall. I betcha they bring the apples in from all over. 😏 All about the brand.

By the mansion on the hillside Red sports car comes driving down the road And pulls up into the driveway And a story does unfold She's standing by the rhododendrons Where the roses are in bloom Looking out at the Atlantic ocean And in her head she hums this tune...

YET... Once they retire, income and lifestyle drops tremendously! Still gotta give her credit... Most other gold diggers dump when the lavish lifestyle ends. Tiger Woods on line #1. 😏 -
Sure it's the latitude, but there's other factors. NYC (Central Park) almost as sunny as Tampa, FL %wise and actually has more sun @ Central Park. I take the other parts of the city drag the % slightly down. 58% compared to 63%. ?? Moline, Illinois... Pretty damn shocking, right? Is pretty damn sunny and cracks over 200 days a year w/sun. For the record, Tampa is 234. What's a measly month spread out of 12 months? 2 more days a month? Big wow! https://www.currentresults.com/Weather/US/average-annual-state-sunshine.php Compare the states... Yeah, Florida is the "Sunshine State"... But NOT by much. Arizona blows Florida away. Florida just a bit above the rest, but not by much. NYC Central Park had more days with sun than Jacksonville! SunnyDays/PartlySunnyDays/EDays/E% Jacksonville: 94/127/221 @63% NYCCP: 107/127/234 @ 58% Explain that @Augie 😉😜

But golf courses are usually at the base or through the low slopes of ski hills, mountains. Pack the clubs away for the winter! 😉 😜 Do I try to ski through the greens in July? Yeah... Maybe in Argentina! 😏

Who plays golf then? Those are skiing months!

We might... That's where most of the family is. Some kind of second home.

Probably one of these states that don't tax pensions, SS, & 401k: https://www.kiplinger.com/retirement/601819/states-that-wont-tax-your-pension Ooops... Looks like I am keeping the address in Illinois and getting a "vacation home!" "Pensions: The Prairie State completely exempts private pension income from tax as long as it's from a qualified employee benefit plan. You won't pay tax on payments from government or military pensions, either. 401(k)s and IRAs: Illinois is very taxpayer-friendly when it comes to 401(k) plans and IRAs, too. Distributions from a 401(k) plan are tax-free if the plan is a qualified employee benefit plan. IRA distributions are not taxed, either. Social Security Benefits: Illinois also doesn't tax Social Security benefits. Income Tax Range: The Illinois income tax rate is a flat 4.95%."
