  1. I wonder how his career would have gone if he had never had that concussion against the Cardinals.
  2. You may have forgotten that much of what happened was the result of the way teams punted to the Bills that year BECAUSE he is such a weapon. I know that there are a lot of Roscoe haters and Evans lovers on this board. The one thing that I always found amusing is that, notwithstanding the difference is size, Roscoe never had a problem going over the middle. Evans on the other hand . . . .
  3. Thanks for posting. Del Rio always sort of rubbed me the wrong way until I read this. Classy move. I have a whole new opinion of him.
  4. Nobody has ever said that he cannot run deep and fast. That is what he does.
  5. I watched about five minutes of that game so I am not sure which play you are talking about. Nevertheless, I watched every minute of Lee Evans' career as a Bill. He NEVER reminded me of Andre Reed going over the middle. Why? Because he was not the kind of guy who went over the middle (for whatever reason). For the sake of his career, I always said that he could really improve himself if he went over the middle. It would help him on every other route. Just sayin.
  6. As I said, I am not in love with him as some here. Nevertheless, to me, Evans probably would be more valuable to us than the guy we are likely to pick with a low fourth round pick.
  7. I had no problem trading Evans. I am not in love with him as some here are. He was a good second receiver who runs deep but will not go over the middle. My only problem with the trade was the fourth round pick. I have a hard time believing they could not have gotten at least a third for the guy if they waited. If we could not have gotten more than a fourth, was it worthwhile even trading him? If the stories of him wanting to be traded are correct, then I suppose the Bills were backed in a corner. Nevertheless, the recent history of this team trading guys (whom we picked with high picks) for lower round picks is very, very frustrating. Oh well. Go Bills.
  8. Oh brother. First, I am sick and tired of trading guys that we picked in the first round for lower round picks. Second, anyone who saw Spiller play in college knows that the guy has a lot of talent. We will see whether that translates to the NFL. Yet, the guy is just beginning his sophomore year (so to speak). Let's see what he can do.
  9. If Ty Warren is healthy, he would be a great get.
  10. He would be good. As I recall, there were the same rumors last year, but nothing happened.
  11. Have any of you heard anything about what is likely to be agreed to regarding revenue sharing? As far as the Bills (and othe small market teams are concerned) that issue is as important (if not more important) than any other.
  12. I wonder if the cake was chocolate?!?
  13. I am so sorry for your loss. Having lost my Dad, I know that there is nothing anyone can say to ease your pain. Nevertheless, I can say that as time goes by, it becomes easier to bear and you think more and more about all of the great times that you had together. All the best to you and your family, Peter
  14. Huge upgrade. Still not as good as the unis that we wore in the Super Bowl years. In the end, I am just happy that we got rid of the horrible unis we have had during this lost decade of losing.
  15. My overarching concern in all this is how the end result is going to affect the ability of the Buffalo Bills to remain in Buffalo.
  16. Exactly Gene Upshaw took Tags to the cleaners last time around. Tags desire to get a deal done (a deal that was so bad for the owners that they opted out of) is why we are where we are.
  17. To the fellow Mac users out there, what do you recommend in terms of anti-virus software or other advice? Thanks.
  18. I probably told you this before: FSU is obviously a rival and I enjoy when we beat you guys, but I always have respected you guys (mostly because of Bobby - how can you not like Bobby). On the other hand, I cannot stand the Gators. They took the Canes off the schedule and now only play the Canes infrequently. I always root for the Noles when you guys play the Gators.
  19. There is no doubt that the Canes have been bad to mediocre for quite some time. I do think that things are turning around with Golden. I also think that the Canes got screwed with that delayed call by Terry Porter (who was far away) and who made the call even though the ref closest to the play called it incomplete. Just my two cents.
  20. Very funny. I wonder if Terry Porter got a car out of the deal.
  21. The red sweater did not save him. I suspect this is only going to get worse for OSU and Tressel as more information gets out.
  22. The owners have some leverage now if the reports on the 8th Circuit stay are accurate. It now is in the NFLPA*''s interest to negotiate.
