I think too much is made from these volunteer camps, if my boss said to me you have to go to a volunteer anything, it is no longer is volunteer...kinda duh. Every year a good player gets hurt during these OTAs, we love it when star players buy into the system and show up, but most of them are there to mingle. CB is the position that needs this less than any, practice without pads allows WRs to show them up. Williams played on a very good defense and his play had a lot to do with the pressure the front 7 created. He's overrated, but I don't fault him for hiding it by not showing up.

My high School coach taught me it is not the plays that matter, it is how they are ran. The Defense can know your offense, even know the play but if you run them perfectly you'll win. Now that was in basketball, and clearly football is different but I think its true, plus it may just be terms. I am pretty sure the playbook will continue to grow as well. You 2 deep him he will roll out and create spacing with his feet for the underneath patterns, you man up and we have some of the fastest WRs in the NFL and a QB that can physically take on the blitz and get the ball out there. In terms of youth take in consideration cost, its the most expensive youth sport. That's why there is a growing popularity to flag football.
