2012 Buffalo Bills: the best team in franchise history?
frogger replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The 2002 team had more talent, sadly one of the biggest let downs ever! Fletcher, spikes, schobel, pat Williams, Adams, milloy, clements and winfield on defense. Moulds, bleedslow, Henry...had they addressed the oline a little more that team could have been special. Mike Williams wasn't a bad right tackle had buffalo drafted him in the 2nd and he was healthy he wouldn't be considered a giant bust. -
Famous people you've seen in person

I kind of had an unfair advantage earlier in my life, I worked as a chaperone at Disney. Rebecca Romijn and John Stamos, Oddly they were there together but John was with his family, side note, he speaks greek, she was with her sister...I was married at the time but Rebecca, on her sisters behave asked if I was doing anything later...I spent about six hours with them. and no I didn't hang out with them outside of work. Imagine twins minus the twin part, her sister is Danny Devito in this scenario. Kurt Warner and his wife after "they" won the super bowl, wasn't impressed with either of them. Thurman Thomas brought his kids, this was right after he signed with Miami, I gave him a little crap, but I was too big of a fan. I thanked him for his time in Buffalo and he thanked me for being a fan, I first met him when he was a rookie, he signed a hat for me. Christina Aguilera, she was there to preform for the holiday celebration, which was shot in October, she wasn't a huge star yet, she was really sweet and very tiny. Michael Jackson-the hour I spent with him was extremely odd. He's the only one that reguested we sign a confidentiality order. Tracy McGrady and Tim Duncan came together, The Magic were trying to sign both of them, instead they got Grant Hill and McGrady, fun guys. Dominique Wilkins-played for the Magic then, met him at the mall, only cause he was trying to put the moves on my then wife. Shaq-too many times, first at his house and the last time I saw him was at a Pine Hills Walmart about 6 months ago, for those who do not know Pine Hills is not the nicest of areas. Super nice guy Dwight Howard at Perkins Tiger Woods at Perkins and at his house. The notorious Perkins, his wife is super attractive even without make up. Justin Timberlake-nice guy, before he went solo Lance Bass- before he came out, he was eating lunch with a christian boy band member that my ex wife knew. She ironically worked for a christian TV station. I got to eat lunch with him and watch the Bills, he's a Green bay fan Lucas Haas -when I was a kid, Lady in White Stevie Wonder-preformed at my school Doug Liman at a talk at Rollins College. great director, just after he did "go" Peter Berg- after he directed "Very Bad things" he was flying Orlando to NYC and sat next to me. Several Metal Bands...one of my ex's dated the base player from the band Soil for eight years, because of that she knows a lot of people including Glen Benton, who was super cool. Side note she use to argue that Cannibal Corpse was a Tampa band...they are from Buffalo, George Fisher (lead singer), who is from florida called them a Buffalo band. They are Bills fan FYI. Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys-if you know who they are you win a prize, without looking it up. John Kerry and Edwards-I worked on the Kerry/Edwards campaign, they came in a sat with us and talked. Other Bills Lofton Bennett Ted Washington Pat Williams Pike Reed Kelly Robb Riddick other Basketball player JoJo White Al Cervi Bill Laimbeer JJ Redick MMA Seth Petruzelli I met Mat Sundin in Toronto at the CN Tower, only Hockey player I've met. My High School girlfriend played soccer with abby Wambach, so I met her as a result. my ex wife has two Emmys another ex's step father was the CFO of American express-maybe I shouldn't have broken up with that one... She was also a lawyer, as was her father. I am pretty stupid sometimes. -
Sims-Walker, wouldn't be a terrible addition, he's young and has a lot of talent. Buffalo would be his best chance at making a team.

The city beautiful, whorlando, Florida...grew up in Newark, NY. I miss having a 315 area code. I'm always amazed how many Buffalo fans live here, one of my best friends is a bills fan, though he never lived in western NY.

BILLS @ JETS Early Predictions
frogger replied to Frostbelt City's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
New Jersey will play us when we are healthy, (depending on Woods and the williams') Stephan Hill runs the 9 route, that is pretty much it, many of his big plays in college were when the safety was in the box leaving him one on one against a corner. Cheese doesn't scare me, an underachiever in Oakland he will remain the same. Speed doesn't worry me with them, let them run outs all day long, by the time they get 20 yards down field Sanchez won't be able to step up and throw. We have to time the short routes and jump them. If we are healthy and we send the blitz, 5 or more, its going to be a long day for tim and mark. And their defense has holes, Buffalo can run on them. And with Johnson I think we can wear out Revis. -
Ted Washington was one of the nicest players I've met. Rob Riddick was as well. However, personality-wise paup was my least favorite, great player and maybe I caught him on a bad day...who knows.

I'm really looking forward to seeing fendi onobun, 6'6" 250's 4.48 40 time, insane athletic abilities. A offseason of getting coached up mostly in blocking and route running. He has more raw ability than any TE in the NFL. Look up his YouTube workout and be impressed! Pete Metzelaars has some of finest clay to sculpt from.

Rd 7, Pick #25: K John Potter - Western Michigan
frogger replied to Dennis in NC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he eliminates the need to keep guys on the team who are just special team members, it could mean we keep 2 more linemen over linebackers and DBs. -
One thing I noticed in highlights his cuts are very smooth, similar to Victor Cruz.

amazing - Nix and states that lost the Civil War

I don't think you'll see an argument, the SEC is clearly the best. -
4 for 4, he'll play special teams only for the first 4 weeks, then get more and more pt till December, then he'll start.
-
Bump! You had me at route running creates separation...those who compare him to roscoe are doing yourself a disservice...he's a young lee Evans and that's good.

Still some good talent available .....

If buffalo can get Carder, James Michael-Johnson, Robinson, Lewis or Bradham I'd feel better about our linebackers. Also Givens is a stud, I was hoping he was going to be the pick at 3. Jones is still there too. Also at TE, Charles is still there and Thompson. Talent remains carder and givens make our trade look much better -
Honestly I'm very happy with the pick by the dolphins, Mario will have a field day.

Love it! -
Regardless, it looks like we could get another starter.

NFLN is reporting Claibourne to Vikings

He could be this years mckelvin, in the sense we wanted him, but never thought he'd fall to us. Now he's our starting cb, for better or worse. -
Buffalo will give him the option of putting his hand down or not, nothing real different, seek QB, hit QB, cause turnovers on third and long...simple. 20 plays a game, tops.
-
if OLB isn't that important in Wannstedt's defense why did Miami go out and sign Junior Seau? regardless, ILB is important and one of the best, potentially, could be there for the taking. I agree that WR is important, but I don't think Floyd is going to be the pick, I could see Buffalo getting back in the 1st late and getting Wright or top of the 2nd getting Sanu. Personally, I'd rather get Josh Robinson at the top of the 2nd and see whats left in the 3rd, maybe combine the 4ths and 6th and get into the bottom of the 3rd too.
-
I'd like him to stay at last years weight, I think he could be a good back up 3 tech. Kelsey and Williams are the starters at DE, on short yardage situations I could see Carrington playing end. In that situation I could also see Merriman playing OLB. Carrington and Merriman both offer flexibility. I know Gailey said Merriman was a DE, but on 3rd and 1, and a two to three TE set, I see him standing up to offer some additional muscle.

I am comparing his Combine numbers alone vs this years rookies. His 40 time is horrible, but if he's going forward we are winning, I never understood forty times with the Oline, I guess it shows he can get the line of scrimmage fast? 5.43 Jonathan Martin was 5.35 Bench Press, 33, better than any OT at the combine Vert Jump 29" would be 5th best at Combine among OT Broad 96" bottom tier, but not the worse 3 cone -7.9 seconds better than Mike Adams and Cordy Glen 4.7- 20 yard shuttle better than Reiff, Bobby Massie, Mike Adams and .05 away from Matt Kalil. I think he'll be fine, he played against some of the best at Clemson, beyond those you know in the ACC, he practiced against Bowers, Sapp, Branch and Malliciah Goodman.

Dolphins struggling to keep season tickets at 30,000

Miami is the largest fair weather fan base. Everyone is in awe of James and wade, but where were the fan prior...and look at the marlins. -
I really wouldn't be too surprised if we drafted a DE early.
