  1. Same defense last year other than 2 things and 2 things only: -A large increase in playmaking ability in the secondary. -As stated, having an actual offense getting the lead in games.
  2. I believe we'll need 28 to 30 points to beat Cinci next week.
  3. Funny you mentioned this. My Dad and I watched him every time down as of course he stood out pretty easily. Guys pretty much shyed away from him as he ran down his lane and I don't blame them. Did you see him on Punt Coverage teams? He Pancaked his man I believe on each Brown's punt. He just didn't have the quicks to get to the punter in time. Me thinks this guy is going to be a valuable role player for a few years to come
  4. I like the "Steve not watching" too It seems to be working!
  5. I signed up for a scrimmage pitting the Bills against the local high school team wearing Cleveland Brown Unis. Am I missing something here?
  6. And Gee Golly it was awfully fun to see live in person!
  7. I'll be at the Dinosaur from 1:00 to 2:00 if you're interested....
  8. You just aren't going to get it are you? It appears Todd knows something more about this than I but I agree w/ him that you need to drop the grudge and open your eyes a little wider. BTW the drafts are looking pretty good overall.
  9. Forget about Newman and Irvin. They have been nothing but depth players at best since their jettison. Foreman has done OK as a starter in Houston, but was replaced in effect by Posey, who is atleast as good and costs about the same. Washington was a great player but commanded a HUGE salary when he left and we couldn't afford it due to the FAT contacts of too many other players.
  10. Overpriced is putting it kindly for some of them....
  11. I think this says it very well. And I was one who was pretty bummed when he decided to leave.
  12. Although none of the players you cited as an example seemed to
  13. Agreed with your post Nodnarb. Well backed as well. I also feel as the previous poster said that PW is as important as the three you mentioned. That defense is built from the inside on out to the LB's and EVERYTHING that goes on from down to down is dependent on the 2 boulders we have in SA and PW. Edwards is improved and even great on passing downs but still does little to resemble PW vs. the run.
  14. The 12:00 Meeting time (my lunch is at 1:00) will once again make it difficult for me to make it, although I'd really like to....
  15. It's when you play them that counts IMO and no I will not argue further about that. Oops I forgot the hawks were on the road though....
  16. We've beaten THREE winning teams at home. The Browns are not one and as long as they are not overlooked we will win this game by more than a TD (IMO).
  17. The most pathetic thing about this would be if you actually believed it.
  18. Wow, thanks for the info... good stuff
  19. Oh here we go again
  20. Thanks for that gem Icetard!
  21. The only way that throwing down the field even becomes an option is if you have such a threat inside in the running game that it allows for play action. Most teams do not have this luxury. This for example , is why a "verticle" team such as the Rams have no chance vs. you guys.
  22. I don't think Cinci has the capability to pound the ball effectively enough to hang with the Pats. Those are the types of teams that can beat NE. Plus their D is not physical enough IMO. They have a division rivalry with Pitt and thus "know them" inside and out differently than they would know NE. I suppose it could happen but I highly doubt it...
  23. Shane Matthews is the REAL cancer in the locker room
  24. Definitely not. It was also Drew's fault, TH's fault, the TE's and the O-line's (not playing as a unit) fault of course...
