  1. I hope he sucks like this for the restof the season!
  2. I don't think 6 injuries is going to help very much
  3. Let's not forget too soon that in 1991, Thurman was the most feared double threat in the entire NFL
  4. Tell those people that something has come up! and Pronto!
  5. He certainly does not "suck" and everyone (well everyone else I guess) knows it. He is just not a complete back. The Bills have found their complete back in Willis. Though the exaggerations that persist here regarding TH by you and VA are bordering on absurdity. It would be one thing if you guys were calling him an average back , fine whatever, but the "no effort" , "bag of sh--", "he sucks" and the ever so popular and false "he's pouting in the locker room" comments only make you guys look like ICE in spite of the otherwise good knowledge of the game I know you guys have. It has been asked here before, but why does it always have to be Player A is god and his counterpart player B is a piece of sh-- ? Was it Flutie/Johnson that did this? I will never understand how a Bills fan cannot even in some small way support a guy that busted his ass the whole time while here and improved every season he was here , especially in such a lost season of misery like 2003. The are LB's strewn about the league who have testified to his positive abilities and they should not be ignored. So he was not the next great Bills Rb, get over it.
  6. You are going WAY out on a limb there with your personal interpretation of what Donahoe stated about mental toughness, but that's fine it's your opinion and can't be disputed any more than my opinion. Relinquishing a lead on a game ending drive very often DOES have a lot to do with an offense's production throughout said game. Constant three and outs generate both fatigue and a natural human reaction by defenders to think that "I need to make a big play here to change the game" when they should be focussing on their role as a component of the defensive scheme. I think that happened a lot under GW. If you remember in the KC game and NE game this year the Defense played much better early than later although you are right that they didn't play particularly well in either overall. I really do understand what your point was, and it certainly has some credibility but I just don't believe it's as cut and dry as you made it out to be. Along with that, I've got a real with anyone who would consider a defense with TKO, Fletcher, Milloy, PW, and Schobel as it's foundation lacking in heart.
  7. Heh, good analogy You and I agree he definitely couldn't change direction quickly.
  8. He was actually noted by Marv Levy (which is why I remembered that about him) when playing for Miami for having really quick feet. And if you go back and watch any old highlights you'll see what they were talking about. He's not quick laterally, but purposely took shorter steps and maintained better balance that way.
  9. Of course that has nothing to do with the offense throughout 2003 and up until recently this year helping soooo much with 3 and outs, turnovers, huge losses in the field position and time of posession battles.
  10. He's a hell of a lot more like Duece and Edge than he is like Keith friggin' Byars and thank the lord above for that. Byars = quick feet, great hands, but was slow, and lacked agility. He was really a better H-back / TE / FB type.
  11. Mickey, that was a fantastic post and a very good and Accurate IMO analysis. Don't listen to your flamers who mostly just don't understand these concepts as you obviously do. I realize, for example that you are not "dissing" WM because of the goal line running play, but rather pointing out they way it truly happened, and the fact that the O-line did a superior job on the play. Keep it up man. We need more posters like this
  12. I see 8-8 or 9-7, the latter of which I would be giddy considering the rough start to the season.
  13. You are forgiven mr. Stojanovich , for as I recall you have missed a number of games. The reality is that the O-line has greatly improved as the season has gone on. Yes Willis is part of the equation, but only as one man can do. I'm sure Fezmid has (or will have) plenty of DVD's of the games that you can review.
  14. Wasted is right. Refering to the time I just spent reading this thread Appreciate the opinions Blackbear but those are some real "reach" player overviews you have there that are obviously not based too deeply in actual obvservation of players.
  15. The best part is knowing that we are now a better team than the Jets. Too bad it took 5 games to get there though.
  16. I was 22 and there with my Dad. He pleaded and pleaded with me try to get me to agree to leave the game. Then I reminded him of the Roland Hooks Hail Mary game vs. the Pats that we left early for and regreted. He still wanted to leave.... I finally convinced him to stay only because he had spent so much on the tix and the fact that we had nothing better going on at the time anyway. Boy was he glad we stayed!
  17. Shush D.O.D. , you make too much sense...
  18. I couldn't have said it better myself.
  19. Exactly, BUT that (whining) is NOT something he is doing NOW. Get it? Read my post again if needed.
  20. Va, very ICE like of you In all seriousness, you were indeed correct on all counts and should be commended for that. I have always just felt (and still do) that though you're points on TH were valid, they were often exaggerated beyond "REAL".
  21. It's not the first time, as MM reported on his show, he ran it @ 4 years ago. It's very cool he hung on to it though
  22. On the Mularkey radio show Monday night he reported that "they" (I'm assuming he and Clements) have had that play available for a number of years, back to their time together in Pitt. He said that they ran it once approximately 4 years ago successfully, and that it was a matter of getting just the right look from the defense in order to pull it off.
  23. You are so full of crap sometimes it's not even funny. His attitude sucks? He doesn't give a sh--? Sorry but he's been supportive all year, and kept his mouth shut on the bench. MM has reported numerous times how he has participated in practice as if he was going to start. Of course you are not going to see "third quarter" Travis when he steps onto the field for one play here, one play there. He has lost his position to the better back, and he has taken that like a man. And if/when he begins to complain about it after the season, he will have every right to.
