  1. He was trying to stay upright in the pile to push for an extra yard or two. Jason Taylor ripped it out while Willis had his legs tied up by other defenders.
  2. It was close enough as to where it would have been the right thing to do just to fall on it. Nate has a "gunslinger's mentality", and while that frustrates us from time to time he makes plays because of it too...
  3. I'd buy every one of those. Interestingly, we are seeing some tendancies we haven't seen since the early nineties...
  4. And the Pats keep a rollin' along. Man, you're team is going to be tough to catch for atleast a few years to come.
  5. 49ers, in I think the mid to late eighties...
  6. Ice,Ice, Dante!..... Ice,Ice, Dante!.......
  7. The one-handed catch was amazing! The football speed, route percision, and maturity he has at this stage is what is most impressive. He really takes in everything he is taught. And what a better Wr to show him the ropes than EM?
  8. Ice , you know you just said that to get these folks riled up! Stop and resist the temptation. If you honestly feel that way about this outing you really should start questioning what you are seeing on the field.
  9. evans is definitely better than Peerless, but don't be suckered into believing Moulds isn't drawing the best cover men and double-teams.
  10. I think he was kidding
  11. I hope he sucks like this for the restof the season!
  12. I don't think 6 injuries is going to help very much
  13. Let's not forget too soon that in 1991, Thurman was the most feared double threat in the entire NFL
  14. Tell those people that something has come up! and Pronto!
  15. He certainly does not "suck" and everyone (well everyone else I guess) knows it. He is just not a complete back. The Bills have found their complete back in Willis. Though the exaggerations that persist here regarding TH by you and VA are bordering on absurdity. It would be one thing if you guys were calling him an average back , fine whatever, but the "no effort" , "bag of sh--", "he sucks" and the ever so popular and false "he's pouting in the locker room" comments only make you guys look like ICE in spite of the otherwise good knowledge of the game I know you guys have. It has been asked here before, but why does it always have to be Player A is god and his counterpart player B is a piece of sh-- ? Was it Flutie/Johnson that did this? I will never understand how a Bills fan cannot even in some small way support a guy that busted his ass the whole time while here and improved every season he was here , especially in such a lost season of misery like 2003. The are LB's strewn about the league who have testified to his positive abilities and they should not be ignored. So he was not the next great Bills Rb, get over it.
  16. You are going WAY out on a limb there with your personal interpretation of what Donahoe stated about mental toughness, but that's fine it's your opinion and can't be disputed any more than my opinion. Relinquishing a lead on a game ending drive very often DOES have a lot to do with an offense's production throughout said game. Constant three and outs generate both fatigue and a natural human reaction by defenders to think that "I need to make a big play here to change the game" when they should be focussing on their role as a component of the defensive scheme. I think that happened a lot under GW. If you remember in the KC game and NE game this year the Defense played much better early than later although you are right that they didn't play particularly well in either overall. I really do understand what your point was, and it certainly has some credibility but I just don't believe it's as cut and dry as you made it out to be. Along with that, I've got a real with anyone who would consider a defense with TKO, Fletcher, Milloy, PW, and Schobel as it's foundation lacking in heart.
  17. Heh, good analogy You and I agree he definitely couldn't change direction quickly.
  18. He was actually noted by Marv Levy (which is why I remembered that about him) when playing for Miami for having really quick feet. And if you go back and watch any old highlights you'll see what they were talking about. He's not quick laterally, but purposely took shorter steps and maintained better balance that way.
  19. Of course that has nothing to do with the offense throughout 2003 and up until recently this year helping soooo much with 3 and outs, turnovers, huge losses in the field position and time of posession battles.
  20. He's a hell of a lot more like Duece and Edge than he is like Keith friggin' Byars and thank the lord above for that. Byars = quick feet, great hands, but was slow, and lacked agility. He was really a better H-back / TE / FB type.
  21. Mickey, that was a fantastic post and a very good and Accurate IMO analysis. Don't listen to your flamers who mostly just don't understand these concepts as you obviously do. I realize, for example that you are not "dissing" WM because of the goal line running play, but rather pointing out they way it truly happened, and the fact that the O-line did a superior job on the play. Keep it up man. We need more posters like this
  22. I see 8-8 or 9-7, the latter of which I would be giddy considering the rough start to the season.
