  1. Whoah... I wouldn't sign him for 5 mil per year either BGIM. I see now that you are taking the little agent media plant literally. That is merely the upper end or ceiling of negotiations as I am seeing it. Very typical posturing that goes on amongst all agents worth their salt.
  2. Probably not back breaking no, but remember all I'm saying is offer him what he's worth. I agree not to overpay for him. I like Edwards too but really only as a pass rusher. He has not proven to be nearly as capable as a run stopper, and especially not as capable as Pat. As I see it the difference would probably amount to the Bills giving up somewhere around .4 more yards per carry and probably 15 to 20 more yards per game on the ground. They may benefit with Edwards in getting a bit more pressure up the middle on passing plays and 3 or 4 additional sacks for the season. Pat also, like Moulds, is a player who likes Buffalo, is established here, has been loyal to the organization, and has stated he is willing to give the team the "hometown discount" when it comes time to talk turkey.
  3. I watch all SU games and am an alum. Pace is (as mentioned) a good college player, but not cut out for the Pros. I will say though that Pace is a very hard worker, lays his body on the floor when he has to...Fills up the stat sheet with rebounds, assists, a few steals, a fair amount of points, and has excellent touch from 6' to 12' out. He is a decent but not a special distributor of the ball. He is a terrible foul shooter and long range shooter. Though he does not turn the ball over nearly as much as mentioned earlier and has actually played much more within the offense this season than Gmac has. Gmac has cost the cuse atleast 2 games this season by foolishly putting up long desperate shots early on in the shot clock without any attempt to run the offense ( And I love Gmac but it is what it is). Gmac has also taken some peculiar stretches in games (particularly second halves) where he has seemingly forgotton to get Warrick's hands on the rock.
  4. Folks are right that they can't overpay for Pat, but they would be foolish not to give him what he is worth. If he is willing to come fairly and the Bills still ignore this, it should be considered a mistake IMO. Pat is the rock that makes the whole defense work at it's peak. There is no player currently under contract that would come near his production value lined up next to big Sam.
  5. While it should be apparent to even the somewhat casual fan that Jennings is indeed a superior player to Shelton, there are two factors that make this potentially a good move. 1- JJ's injury history 2- LJ will come at a much better price as JJ will require an inflated signing bonus.
  6. Oh no! A pro bowl TE? Two good linemen? Look out for the juggernaut!! You forgot to mention their incredible corps of ancient Wr's in Glenn and Johnson. And boy oh boy the D-line is something! Not to mention their 200 LB Linebackers and no-talent cb's> Wohoo! OF course I want to take the bet. I'm the one that brought it up. Oh, and you should think about removing the quote about bleeding Bills colors....
  7. Ok who wants to bet NJSue that the Bills will have a better record than the cowboys next season? Sign me up....
  8. Just for perspective , Andre Reed was not "fast" and ran a 4.5. McGahee used to run at 4.3 and now is probably at @ 4.4 C. Portis runs in the high 4.3's, low 4.4's Priest Holmes is @ 4.4 Champ Bailey and guys like Ed Reed can run 4.3's as well... Hell Terrance Mcgee ran a 4.3 something at the pro bowl competition a couple weeks ago. Any way, whatever the exact figures are, it's plain for anyone to see (no stopwatch required) that TH runs significantly faster than the Bus. And the point I was trying to make is that all the other things you said about the Bus vs. TH are true but the "faster" comment was just over the top.
  9. See there you go over the top again when you actually could have made a valid point. And no this is not opinion related . Faster???????????????????????????????????????? You have got to be bloody kidding. TH runs somewhere @ 4.5 Bus runs @ 4.8-4.9 (at best)
  10. This would all be true, if refering to the 2002 version of TH. Given there are still fumbling issues (though much improved) and certainly still major blocking issues. -TH is a much better receiver now than in 2002 - He is certainly more than a "straight ahead" runner. He's got more lateral movement than Thomas for sure.
  11. Ok I understand (especially the point on Faulk), but I also think part of his "best available" point includes the idea of a reasonable price... ie. not 2 first round picks or 6mil + per year....
  12. I gotta go with d- wag here on this one VA. You're the one with a repetitive crusade here making sure to tell all who come here just how terrible TH is in an "over the top" manner. It's a shame because you've already proven some reasonable points about TH that many others (including myself) did not see before...
  13. JSP, did I catch you on a good day (at the Pittsburgh game tailgate) ? You seemed awfully nice to me
  14. Nice post Villa... a welcome addition based on that...
  15. Keith M was a niche/role player for the Bills and really could not be considered "awesome" or "great" at any time. He was a very good receiver but could not block worth a $$$$. As a pure TE that would make him average.
  16. Nice Win (again) HD. Here's to hoping we can compete with the Pats this season.
  17. Exactly. Not to mention Wolford and Ritcher.... I wasn't sure if you somehow happened by without thinking of the O-line...
  18. I'd be happy to see us atleast make an attempt at him as well. He's a good blocker and a very big man in addition to his soft hands.
  19. Interesting analogy. Though there is a little section of the offense called the offensive line that seemed to have slipped by your radar. Other than Mike W vs. Ballard at RT, and Chris V vs. John Davis@co. there are none on this line who compare to those days.
  20. I like Stamer a lot. I just don't think he's as good overall as Posey. And I honestly don't feel the position warrants a replacement. Posey is unspectacular but solid on a game to game basis. He doesn't carry a large salary and doesn't make many mistakes out there. I see Stamer succeeding more as a MLB in a 4-3 as well. I'm worrying about LG, TE, QB, K, and backup RB before I even think defense this off-season.
  21. Sucks for the Amerks...Best record in the AHL...
  22. The problem here isn't your "attack" on TD, it's the fact that you are wrong. He really could give two ***** about what anybody media or fan thinks about how he has done his job. You're just way off base here.
  23. Ding! Ding! Ding! Step up to collect your prize.
  24. I hate it when that happens
