  1. 1- Somehow Mike Nugent makes it to round three and we take him 2- Alex Barron (pipe dream)
  2. Congrats Rock!
  3. Agreed. It seems both absurd to me and highly unlikely that the Bills would see this as a viable option unless numerous day one picks were involved. Even with numerous picks, we would not see the return on investment for a good two or three years.
  4. I lke 'em. Although they do indeed look too much like the Falcon's Jerseys.
  5. Makes a whole lot more sense than a Clements trade.
  6. Nate was picked with a higher draft choice than #25 in a better draft class and has panned out as a proven top flight CB. It would be ridiculous to not acquire more than just the #25 pick for him. "here's a pro bowl player for a 50/50 scratch off card to obtain a "good" player"
  7. Pleasant thought considering TO's mouth but he could easily trash a bump and run like yesterday's news.
  8. Not to step in here, but maybe it's because you have made many otherwise credible posts on this site and those other ridiculous statements were made by hit and run posters or trolls...
  9. Sorry, not on a team that already has Lee Evans and Eric Moulds. That would be about the stupidest move we could possibly make with a hypothetical #9 pick. Same goes for WR Mike Williams. And you have no idea what Edwards is going to turn out to be... We know what Clements is as a player.
  10. I understand the fear of getting nothing in return and that is certainly legit. It sometimes sucks being on the outside and not knowing NC's intention, nor the Bills intentions...
  11. Personally, I wouldn't take any of these guys over Nate: Aaron Rodgers* QB, California Ronnie Brown RB, Auburn Braylon Edwards WR, Michigan Mike Williams* WR, USC Alex Smith* QB, Utah Antrel Rolle CB, Miami Carnell Williams RB, Auburn Carlos Rogers CB, Auburn
  12. Lets trade everybody for future draft picks!!! YaY!!!!! We'll be the youngest team in the NFL but who cares because our fans won't be bored with the draft... Let Nate atleast finish his contract here as opposed to obtaining picks in one of the shittiest drafts in recent years. < Rant Off>
  13. I guess you missed my post...
  14. Bill, Kelly is neither Kissing his ass, nor attacking those who do not "love him", nor is he being a Homer. Please display evidence of such..... Also there may have been a post or two, or a post(er) or two who ridiculously thought we could fetch a #1 for Trav. Those people, whomever they are represent the balance at the opposite end of the TWO posters who deem his value to be Nil. I'm still hopeful for 2nd round value, but I'll take 3rd and be happy with that. Anything less IMO would not be fair and TH will be kept.
  15. Include me in the 99%...
  16. Actually the question has been asked multiple times to various "experts" and media outlets and most of them that I have seen or read say that Losman would be graded higher than the other two guys on most NFL draft boards. As stated we don't know what Losman is going to turn out to be, but trying to go off of how many games his team Won or his stats on a very poor Tulane offense and compare him to guys in top notch programs surrounded by better players is foolish.
  17. Ok, well most of that makes sense to me as a fair opinion, although I would not see choosing WR Mike Williams in the draft as the likely move the Bills would make with the Skins 1st. Why do you see us putting ourselves again into a situation where we have multiple "number 1 type" Wr's? That is not a situation that I see this organization putting themselves into again.
  18. If you really look at our defense , player for player including the loss of PW, an '05 trade of NC would basically be forgoing any chances the bills might have this season (IMO). I believe this mainly because we really need our defense to be as good as it can be in order to help JP, and because draft picks 99% of the time take 2 to 3 years to make significant contributions.
  19. You're just a TD ballwasher Kelly
  20. I'm curious as to why you would include Spikes in with "free agents who are more about themselves than the team" ?
  21. I hold out hope for Edwards as well but as it stands based on what we've all seen until now, He cannot play the run very well and will not command double teams. What we WILL see is improved pass rush from the middle.
  22. I'd agree with you on this but there is a missing factor or two (IMO): Nate in 2002/2003 was not half the player Nate is after seeing his play in 2004. It would have been a risk, although a calculated one. Also, there is the possibility of his agent advising him to hold out until the end or near end of his contract, in order to hit it big. It's not ever as easy as the GM just walking up and offering a player x amount of money and the player agreeing.
  23. Yeah Bill, I've got the same feeling as you do re: Nate and his drooling over potential compensation. I can only hold out hope that he continues to mature as he has and that we have a team that he would want to come back to, ie. a playoff team. I know Chris Samuels is not an option realisticly but that was my best analogy at the time I'd prefer a proven player over pure draft picks...
  24. 1- This is not my area of expertise, but he certainly would be worth a top 10 cb salary and bonus. 2- I think he'll probably be looking for top 5 cb money 3- A healthy Chris Samuels and a lower draft pick would do 4- Yes.. thus is the nature of the game these days.
  25. IMO Nate needs to stay and get paid. He's a guy that consistently produces turnovers year in/out. He's also become an above average tackler/hitter and a very good cover man. Plus he has an incredible knack for getting yards in the punt return game and (obviously) is willing to play on special teams. He has good size and speed to boot. I will understand if we can't retain him NEXT YEAR due to over-the-top demands from his agent, but I will not be happy if we do not have his services THIS YEAR. Draft picks are far more of a crap shoot than a lot of people want to believe.
