  1. I definitely don't agree that JAX is a much better team. They've probably got us at Qb, D-line, and Kicker where we've got them at WR, LB's, Db's, and special teams overall. RB, O-line and Te's are a wash. Good point on the state tax though.
  2. We can debate all we like but I think everyone would agree that the best Floyd is when Waters and Gilmore were both present.
  3. "Controlling an audience" is certainly not a factor that I've ever considered important to a musical performance I am attending, but that's just me I guess. I prefer bands to front men. With that said, Priest kicked some serious A' in their time when I was in high school...
  4. I don't seem to recall the Qb's blindside being very well protected at all in Cleveland over the past couple years. Did Verba play the whole season in 2004?
  5. Will my pee-on schedule ever allow me to make another WNYTBDGPS gathering?
  6. 31 years on piano? Feel like moving on up to WNY any time soon? We could use a man like you
  7. Heck, R. Rich is a better guitar player than Cobain
  8. You can change positions but only on a limited basis unfortunately (ie. a WR could not become an OL) although there are editors being created for the PC version that may change all this. Madden game editors
  9. Let's just hope he doesn't take the "Yngwe route" and he'll be just fine.
  10. The worst team in the AFC is all of the NFC teams besides Phili
  11. Why gripe about the team ratings when every facet of each player can be manually edited? You can "correct" any inaccuracies you see and it will affect the team's overall rating.
  12. Happy B-Day Rock!
  13. I wouldn't agree on phenominal, but that's just personal preference. Regrdless, the list speaks of the 100 best guitar players and has no mention of songwriting ability, which as I mentioned before I hold in very high regard as well. No problem on the "harping " btw
  14. The main problem with Cobain being on the list is that most of you all probably have atleast one casual guitar playing friend who is a better player than he was, or you may even play better yourself. Most of the kids I've taught over the years can play better than him, and we're just talking a couple years of lessons, nothing crazy here. It really makes no sense based on the title of the list. There are probably thousands of established guitarists who are better than a few of the people on this list.
  15. I'm going to have to revisit Eric Johnson based on your and some of the other comments made here. To me, he was always very good technically but sounded very "plastic" and dated. I must have missed out on a wider sample of his compositions... I'll try again.
  16. I agree, and don't even care about virtuosity. In fact the best asset of my lead singer/rhythm guitar player in my band is his simplicity in writing. He has such a knack for producing simple yet effective, powerful, memorable tunes. But Kurt was not a guitar player to consider on any list of top anything. Neither are about 30 others on this list.
  17. I can't even look at this list without laughing or puking Kurt Cobaine, a guitar player? I'll reluctantly give him good innovator, songwriter status, but as a guitar player most are his peer by the time they hit a year or so of lessons.
  18. I could make it at 1:00 only (as usual )
  19. They expire.... It worked for about 1 week.
  20. Another fantastic show indeed, and to imagine it followed up 5/8/77 in Cornell and didn't dissapoint....
  21. I have taken the Posey challenge with you and Simon both, FFS and on more than one occasion. And if you remember I support him as a solid player who is producing at the level of expectation that was likely placed upon him by the people that matter. It makes for an intersting debate always but I don't feel the need to spew on with what you may have already read...
  22. There was a very Heart-felt Morning Dew played at this one, and Simon my imagination that night was very "vivid" as well
  23. I feel that Edwards is the one we should be worried about hoping to fill PW's shoes. He's going to get every opportunity it is probably a lot closer to being "ready". How well he does at stopping the run and occupying blockers will be the key. I think he WAS implying this but I could be wrong
  24. OMFG! That was one of my first and favorite shows by the Dead. That is fantastic news
