Also note the downfield blocking from Aiken, Parish (He PANCAKED a LINEBACKER on the play. Seriously ), and Evans. These are all guys who atleast want to play for the Bills.
Good Post Bill.
Re: #1 there are a lot of us who have been saying this as it has been pretty apparent since last year.
#2 Agreed
#3 Strongly agreed, and he shows up every game.
#4 Kelsay flashed early, but I haven't seen much in the past handful of games.
#5 Agreed.
#6 I give Gray a lot of credit for making some excellent adjustments last season. For some reason that all has vanished. To me he is mediocre at this point, not terrible.
#7 Agreed but I've seen enough good signs to not be overly concerned yet.
#8 I disagree with this. I think Parish has played exactly as advertised. But I didn't like the pick either, that's where I do agree.
#9 Something to keep the interest.
#10 Always!
All kidding aside, Other than in one game (SD) this season, I feel that Josh has earned the right to stay on with the new direction of this team. He is our best blocker, is able to find open areas in zones, and has good run after catch ability. I think as long as he stays in the slot, he'll produce for us. He was one of a few today who showed up to play. You can learn a lot about guys at the end of a wasted season.
Winning record as a rookie head coach.
No nonsense approach with his players (contrary to what some here assume).
Was able to maintain his philosophy after getting pressure from Ralph, held the belief of his players, and go on to an impressive winning streak.
Toys with the media with the best of them (I really enjoy how angry he makes some of the local reporters).
Does not throw his players or coaches under the bus, even after multiple prods from media pitchforks.
Has far superior game time management and replay challenge skills than GW had.
What I don't like is the obsession with gadget plays and the unwillingness to run a play that may be (oh no!) expected by the defense (ie. 1st and goal at the 3 up 23 to 3 you run 3 times and be happy to kick the FG if you fail).
Schobel is a good mention Bill.
Let's see, I'm also pleased with McGee, Peters, Moorman, Lindell (ok the entire special teams), Crowell has been better than expected, and Reed has made a nice comeback atleast compared to the past couple seasons.
Lee was open for 3 TD's because a- you're right, hes very good and b- Moulds was being doubled on nearly every down. A very good method for determining realities in football is to see what transpires on the field. You may think one thing about a guy while I think another, but in this example we can learn with certainty that Moulds is still a serious threat because other teams double him. Our opinions really don't matter when compared to the facts.
Whether it's coaching or Management they don't need a bunch of chanting Yahoo A-holes to know that the on the field results have been sub-par. I'll always root for my team to win the game they're playing. Just my opinion.
As bad as RJ was in his day I'll never forget how embarassing it was at that time going to games and hearing that crap constantly.
I agree on almost everything you said there. Very good and reasonable points on the O-line. I'm not sure Wayne would be the cancer you think he would be. I also think that Stovall is a play maker, and perfect possession receiver.
I believe what you might be refereing to is atleast in high correlation with stamina, whether that means wearing down over the course of the game due to lesser DT play/talent, being on the field for too long caused by too many 3 and outs or just general conditioning.
Excellent post AKC. I also agree with what Stuckincincy says.
The offensive issues are at least partially because of conditioning and poor sunday coaching. Though I do still feel there are issues at G and C that need to be addressed.
Defensively, I think you're right about as well ... and a new DT will be a priority, along with possibly a SAM backer and a Strong safety for depth.
