  1. maybe he heard it on ProFootballTalk
  2. I'll just say that some of you who state things about Moulds as facts may atleast consider the possibility that you only know about a tenth of what the guy is really like as a player and teamate. Atleast have this in the back of your head while making yourself feel smart by calling him a loser.
  3. I agree with your side of the debate on the RB situation. Here's Willis's stats if anyone is interested... Willis career (18 starts): 469 carries for 1918 Yards Average over 4 ypc (4.1) Fumbles only once every 117 touches (excellent) 10 100+ yard games 17 TD's 110 First downs 14 20+ yard runs.
  4. Most of that is purely opinion and not necessarily fact. I can't remember many Bills in my 25 years of watching the team who were more hungry to win and put up with more BS and change over their tenure on the team. The cap room angle is the only credible one I can understand. (IMO)
  5. I won't go that far in saying he's not a fan but I also do not understand why he wouldn't want Moulds. The man has been written off by many TBDers way too early IMO. Plus he stayed here for less than he would have made on the open market back in 2001 AND has taken multiple pay restructures since then, and will probably reneg next season yet again. In hindsight, the choice between he and Wiley (2nd string nobody now) was absolutely the right one as well.
  6. That's also a valid point. It seems to be the trend amongst many teams these days too on that down and distance.
  7. I agree and was saying the same things you were until Shaud has basically forced me to shut my own mouth on this issue. He's a jitterbug out there, and shows some occasional surprising tackle breaking ability at key times as well. Great game from him last night.
  8. 12 100 yard games in 18 games started. He sucks!
  9. You are correct, and if anyone missed it, they said a soccer game had been played the night before at the stadium and the middle portion of the field was a mess (which is where both Ryan and AV missed from)
  10. I think it is being generally underestimated at how well the Bills played and coached on the road in primetime vs. the superbowl champs who had two weeks to prepare with a genius coach, injuries or not. Not to mention all the Tedy hype and ballwashing that went on. The coaching staff last night especially really showed me something by how they performed vs. BB with a bye week. And I needed to see this because a few of their decisions earlier this season left me lacking faith in their abilites as coaches.
  11. I've seen them some this year, and I'd agree he has shown some ability on flat passes, though I haven't seen them run any "traditional" screens where you suck the defenders up while looking down field and throw a soft loop pass over their heads.
  12. Bledsoe consistently showed in inability to complete the screen and outlet passes that we were working last night. I'm not so sure it would have translated.
  13. Adams is playing like he did when PW was here and that is the problem. He had the luxury last year of having Pat sit back at the LOS and play gap control while Sam rushed up the field. I imagine that now that he is still rushing upfied on every down while there is no traditional gap control DT sitting back, he is pissing off the coaches due to the huge gaps he's leaving (see early in the game last night). Sam seems to have become an upfield disrupter only in his latter years and can no longer (or is not willing to ) stay home and play the scheme they are asking him too.
  14. Ouch! That's exactly the feeling, you're right.
  15. It was Gandy's man. Anderson's responsibility should be the inside man that Gandy took.
  16. great post. I share your thoughts on just about all of that. Very level headed at a time that it is tough to be level headed.
  17. It was Gandy.
  18. I bet you'd be surprised to know how often offensive PI really occurs amongst even the best Wr's in the league. You don't see it called too often. Moulds played a great game tonight and I'm pretty sure that is not debatable (atleast credibly) this time around.
  19. To be honest, I fully expected the Bills to lose by @ 30 tonight. This hurts a lot worse though considering the lead we had with 10 minutes left in the 4th. I thought the coaches and players had a great plan and stuck with it tonight, especially with Willis. Their time ran out in the end (again) though. Honestly the only thing I would have changed was the call to drop back and go deep on 2nd and eight on the drive in which Holcomb was sacked and fumbled. Holcomb was also a fool to defer to the outlet route on the 4th and 7 at the end. The call on the push off play by Moulds was accurate but not often called. I could never hate the Bills as you say but it certainly is frustrating to see a team play just well enough to lose again. They didn't embarass themselves tonight but they did hurt us all as fans. I share your passion JSP, but it's not a performance like this that takes me over the edge so to speak. On a side note I thought it was very interesting to see what appears to have been a benching of Sam Adams in the base defense. My guess is that the coaches had enough of his free-lancing upfield rushes and leaving huge gaps behind. Anyone notice how much better the D played vs. the run (as a team) when he was out?
  20. Thanks for taking one for the team guys!
  21. I think the only option at this point regarding point of attack vs. running plays is going to be to keep the linebackers at home more often, as to allow for atleast a chance to make the stop in the hole, as opposed to high risk/reward blitzes that leave gaping holes in the wake of the blitzers. There really are no options at DT, so to me this is the logical 2nd choice.
  22. Yeah I was gonna say it was the Miami game or the Cards game, I just couldn't remember which...
  23. You are correct Bill, although none of us will ever know the full details. If I recall correctly it was in the Cardinals game last season where it became obvious. Sam was penetrating the LOS a lot and leaving gaps behind him. Gray was obviously angry about this, and they had it out. It seemed to me and a few others I spoke with at that point that this was the moment where PW became the "stop-gap" plugger and Sam was allowed to freelance. Prior to that point I believe the scheme was more to have both DT's stay home or have PW do the penetrating.
  24. beautiful stuff Bills Fan
