  1. I believe what you might be refereing to is atleast in high correlation with stamina, whether that means wearing down over the course of the game due to lesser DT play/talent, being on the field for too long caused by too many 3 and outs or just general conditioning.
  2. Excellent post AKC. I also agree with what Stuckincincy says. The offensive issues are at least partially because of conditioning and poor sunday coaching. Though I do still feel there are issues at G and C that need to be addressed. Defensively, I think you're right about as well ... and a new DT will be a priority, along with possibly a SAM backer and a Strong safety for depth.
  3. I like Roscoe. I just don't necessarily subscribe to the draft philosophy they used. And I do like Babineaux, but that's hindsight.
  4. For me personally, when I said I would have prefered a trenches guy , I did not exclude guys who play on the defensive side of the ball.
  5. He has always been touted for his quickness and burst but not for his top end speed. We are getting exactly what we could have hoped to expect from him since his injury, but the real problem could be that a trenches player wasn't selected with his draft spot.
  6. This is the best point I've seen made on this board today. It has been a very disturbing trend of this team being unable to finish games since Rusty departed. You don't realize the importance of a guy like that 'til it's too late. There are certainly other factors but this is one that might seriously need to be looked at.
  7. I've been trying to think of a way to respond to this since he posted it originally at 2:00
  8. Even an extreme skeptic who atleast has an eye for the game of football should be able to see that the guy has held up pretty damn well vs. some of the better defensive edges in the league, all in a very short stint at the RT position.
  9. Tortured Soul = Holcombs arm ?
  10. I'll give you the chemistry factor (something I did not think of), but the learning curve for FA's is usually a matter of a couple to a few games as opposed to 3 seasons.
  11. Well , that's a respectable turn around for you in this post. Since the criteria is draft picks only, I would agree with you that McGee is the guy giving most bang for the buck.
  12. Yep. Also remember that there is generally a 3 year learning curve for getting good production from an offensive lineman that is drafted. Hence more of a focus (failed or not) on FA linemen. There are only a few exceptions to this (Big Mike should have been one at pick #4 but wasn't).
  13. To me Bob is not necessarily negative toward the Bills. He just simply has no clue what he's talking about most of the time when it comes to football. He's always had a fairly entertaining show but unfortunately some of what makes it entertaining is the boneheaded football comments he makes.
  14. Um sorry. I have this page up all day but I work from the PC as well so sometimes a reply window is sitting there for 10 minutes before I finish with it. Nice use of italics btw
  15. Take Jammer when they had Clements AND Winfield?
  16. Yet another well intended thread has turned into a "Hey stupid, Td can do no right" fest. Sigh
  17. Peters, Baker, and Greer (not spectacular, but solid with potential, and all three lasted beyond the 7 round Draft.)
  18. I've always felt that acquiring Spikes was the move that was the most in touch with the heartbeat of the fans and has provided the most value in Td's tenure here. I suppose with this that much now is depending on the level of TKO's recovery in order to remain TD's best move.
  19. Don't forget those fiery guys Bill Walsh and Chuck Knoll!
  20. Thankyou Mike Schopp!
  21. The reason the 2 Td passes vs. KC worked was because JP Held the safety in the middle of the field. So if he was locking too much on WR's at one point, he seems to be evolving past that.
  22. Based on what, the fact that he has improved as the season has gone on?
  23. I did. Nice rationalization BTW
  24. Nice work Kzoo! Very interesting... There's probably not a way to do it based on statistics provided but average time in the pocket would be an interesting factor, considering our guys get about 1.5 to 2.5 seconds before there is a defender in their face
  25. That says it very well. Though the $ will be an issue, this is not a situation to be taken lightly as far as who the replacement will be...
