  1. Put O'Donnel aside for a moment. From my understanding, and according to many diehard Steeler fan friends of mine (I have all together too many friends that are Steeler fans), a big part of the power struggle between Cowher and TD at the end was that TD wanted NO PART of Kordell as QB, and Cowher wanted to stick with him. These guys know their Steelers info well enough IMO that I will trust them.
  2. He didn't call the game. You might say that he played a good game though.
  3. I'm pretty sure Simon does...
  4. Marv. With an assist from Marchibroda. Kelly was NOT calling all the plays in the offense yet at this time. This seems to be a common assumption incorrectly made by Bills fans. It was '91 when he took the reigns completely.
  5. Sounds like you stopped watching him at @ week 5
  6. To me, it was all about #5...
  7. Or when he schooled Orlando Pace the last time we played the Rams.
  8. Or maybe , just maybe TD is still the highly qualified and regarded guy he was before he came here, and has simply had players on the offensive line fail for various reasons, some that could only be seen with hindsight. He also made made what I would consider his 1st free agent release that wasn't justified in giving away Pat Williams. He is still fully responsible for the team's poor record, so maybe it's a moot point, but it may be atleast difficult to find a guy out there who's available and better qualified.
  9. number nine.....number nine.....number nine.....number nine.....number nine.... .number nine.....number nine.....number nine.....number nine.... .number nine.....number nine.....number nine.....number nine.....number nine.... .number nine.....number nine.....number nine.....number nine.....
  10. If our draft pick were up and Leinhart was there (or any other quarterback for that matter), I would certainly hope that whomever the GM at the time is would be fired on the spot by Mr. Wilson if he considered making the selection a quarterback.
  11. The good one's have teams with good offensive lines while the others either have team's with poor lines or teams that let their linemen leave via FA.
  12. I would agree with this, and also add (to the sighs of many I'm sure) that MM and Moulds have a much better relationship than you think. They both have stated that the issue has been put to bed and that they are on the same page again. Sure there have been frustrations by both against each other, but I think both sides warranted frustration in that situation.
  13. As long as he comes cheap (which he likely will), I think he has earned a spot on the team going forward.
  14. A perfect and timely example of what I discussed in the post above.
  15. We would do well to trust Ralph and other members of the organization itself to decide the fate of our head coach. Many, if not most of the things said here on this board and on the radio about MM (leadership issues, "lost the team", "schill", etc.) are complete , 100 % ASSumptions made by people who are not in the know as to what the real situation is. The only thing we can really see is that his play calling this season left something to be desired. Some may think they know these other things listed above, but truly they do not. And that's part of what makes this a tough time being a fan.
  16. If you don't want to go and root for the Bills, I would suggest giving your tickets to someone who does. One who might not normally be able to afford it or to a charity who good do some good with it possibly.
  17. Benny Anderson.
  18. VA, you are like a box of chocolates.
  19. It's amazing just how many of you embarass yourselves without even stopping to think for a moment in these matters. As another poster mentioned, a negative MRI does not mean that there is no injury or pain involved, just that there is no break, or ligament damage, cyst, alien embryo, or whatever it is that they were looking for in the MRI. He is not playing because the pain or discomfort caused by the injury has hindered his ability to be an effective passer out there (save your jokes) for this game.
  20. So I was right about the zoom thingy? The "wheel" of route numbers is something I remember from back in high school. No cheating invovled sir!
  21. Respectfully, I think Lee is in one of the safest positions on the entire team when it comes time for season/player analysis. Comparisons to Peerless are certainly not comparisons made with any clarity.
  22. Three receivers lined up on the left of the formation. The Y receiver motions across the formation and runs a "1" route (a 5 yard out). The X receiver runs a slant, and Z runs a streak pattern. The HB floods the area created on the left with a swing route into the flat. Am I close? (Not sure if I'm right on the "zoom"/motion thingy).
  23. Preston is a rookie. He has done some impressive things this season, and he has had some mental failures this season. You will rarely if ever see the potential of an NFL lineman filled prior to his second or third year.
  24. Yep, he pancaked a linebacker! That was hard to miss. As long as he continues to show that he'll sacrafice himself out there, he's fine in my book.
