  1. Here you go making sense all day again
  2. ... and I thought I had missed the memo or something
  3. Oh how true, how true.
  4. Nate is a complete punk but he may also be the best corner we've had since Charlie Romes. Tag, you're it!
  5. Not to promote further experimentation but I'm hoping that if Big Mike is somehow retained and restructures, they try him at RG. I think that's the position that best accounts for his skills.
  6. Because Peters was an experiment , and now that he has shown his abilities at tackle, his skill set tends to merit that he play the weak side. While there isn't nearly as much difference nowadays between LT and RT, the LT usually has to play "in space" more which lends itself to his abilities. With all that said, I'll repeat that if a stud LT is obtained, Peters might as well stay at RT, and he probably be fine.
  7. I definitely feel that with his good footwork and mobility, he will end up at left tackle on this team, unless a franchise player is picked up via FA or the draft.
  8. I liked him too. Anyone notice the striking resemblance of his mannerisms to Ray Charles? A non-blind Ray Charles imitator....weird but good.
  9. Holcomb is a very capable backup in this league and has proven that. He seems to be able to hold things together if all else is going well, atleast for a couple games in a row. I don't personally think that he has shown progress in a number of years though, and I realize that's not all his fault. Also, his potential maximized would represent a much lower bar than would JP's potential maximized. If JP is still not ready after camp I am ok with Holcomb getting the nod until that time comes.
  10. The sad thing is that TD was absolutely justified for saying what he did re: Vincent's hit on JP. It was and still is absurd to think that it was an intentional move.
  11. However many years it takes to get more than 8 career starts. Get him to 30 starts, then talk all you want about whether or not he is a bust.
  12. He didn't receive as much double or over/under coverage as Moulds, you are correct. It did seem toward the end of the season though that he was beginning to...
  13. The player Evans most closely resembles to me is Torry Holt. Practically the same height and weight, speed , and hands. Probably doesn't yet run routes as good as Torry though...
  14. very true. Remember also that we got royally screwed on Will Wolford by a Plan B loophole the Colts found...
  15. I didn't see Saimes play so I gotta go with Tony Greene.
  16. I see the majority has spoken again and is displaying it's usual patience. They have generously declared a new deadline of Week 1, 2006 for JP to "make or break" his career. If he's not starting by then, he's a bust (still with 8 career starts)!!! This is really getting ridiculous.
  17. Exactly. Our line at that time WAS dominant. Probably 2nd to only the Hogs. Any doubter would merely just have to look at the size and duration of the holes being created in the running game, along with the time Kelly had to throw those deep developing patterns.
  18. I'm banking hope on the idea that the new Bill's brass won't think along these lines that you mentioned. It can be frustrating for fans , but lot's of guys truly take more than 8 starts and a couple camps to put it all together. Usually, the team that sees progress (the key) in a guy and displays patience with him will be rewarded down the line.
  19. Good point. I guess that would be the likely course of action.
  20. I understand Eric's cap figure issue in this coming year, but Eric is not a FA unless he gets cut, no? No offers will be forthcoming until that point.
  21. I always thought Reuben Gant was decent. Boy we have been lacking overall in the TE dept. over the years...
  22. Big Ben?
