  1. Comparing guys by records alone is an extremely dangerous method for picking a coach. Just like with players, a guy does NOT win or lose any games, he is merely a part of the whole, and it's the team ONLY that carries the win/loss record. If I like Sherman (and I do) I'm gonna point to his game day coaching adjustments, his ability in close games, his team's discipline and his ability to work with his staff along with "his" record.
  2. I know it's nearly impossible to grasp and unpopular, but I would bet that if DJ is picked as our next coach, it's because they think he's the better candidate and are not "settling". I am hoping that Sherman is the guy but I will not pretend that I know that he would do better than DJ.

  4. Can we please knock off this clown insider sharade?
  5. I predict Brick will be a resounding success story in the NFL. All he needs to put on is about 15 lbs and as a LT, starting off with excellent pass blocking skills is always a great base to start with. He is extremely athletic from what little I've seen and has great footwork.
  6. Wow, lot's of coaching experts here...
  7. Ok I'm considering stealing that line too!
  8. It may not be a prime one, but I seriously doubt it's anywhere near the "32nd choice". The Bills are frequently mentioned as one of the best orgs to play for in the league (FWIW), and their training facilities are in the upper echelon of the league. I can't imagine it's too much different between players and coaches.
  9. Did you forget that you're only supposed to ask about things that have already happened? Cmon now, get with it!!
  10. Levy has always spoken highly of DJ, right back to when GW was hired here he stated he thought DJ was one of the best candidates at the time.
  11. I don't use that logic. A 6 game win streak is a 6 game win streak in my book. All NFL games are different, and many things are relative to that point in time only. Nobody (bills fans included) thought at the time before the games that we would beat Seattle, St. Louis, Cinci on the road, etc. Miami, in their streak beat Oakland, the Jets, Tennessee, and us.... It's all the same thing man.
  12. Exactly, and guess who won 6 games in a row near the end of his 1st season here?
  13. Is that better than son-of-satan-awful? Honestly speculating is fun but we really don't know how any of these guys will do as coach of the Bills.
  14. umm, I think you forgot the little part about Willis...
  15. to Break that down further, that's coaching against a Hall of Famer, a spring chicken with lots of hype who merely did exactly what our former coach did in 2004, and a rookie
  16. Funny, I was just saying that same thing today while watching the game. BTW The third down call was risky, and they paid for it.
  17. Great players don't play great in every single game they play. This is the NFL. Brady played just "ok" last night and was partially at fault for the loss. It took me a long time to acknowledge the guy but he stands in there til the last moment and makes plays as well as any QB's out there today.
  18. And then you woke up to Jerry Jones as your Owner
  19. So you got exactly what you wanted, and now you're dissatisfied? Go figure
  20. If you're really "not sure" about that, then your eyes for the game just went out the window with Mularkey. I saw no less than 15 audibles from JP in the Panther game alone. The cinci crowd was also nice enough to allow many audibles from KH in that game.
  21. I think if you combined the qualities of Lee Evans and Josh Reed you would have Steve Smith.
  22. When are you going to start using "teflon Marv" in your comments?
  23. Your understanding is correct Things have changed since aye?
