  1. Actually, you may be entirely correct about the decompression procedure. I did a little cursory research and then spoke to a spinal surgeon pal of mine (he’s retired) and he said that the decompression procedure also involves a minimal surgical procedure thru the front of the neck which would also leave that scar. The best news is that the recovery period is much shorter than either the ACDF or ADR. I wish I would have looked at this sooner.
  2. Does a small discectomy/decompression also involve surgery thru the front of the neck? The scar he has on his throat suggests a surgical procedure of some kind. It’s also worth noting that Micah had been dealing with this cervical disc issue since his Green Bay days, when it first appeared. I agree that if he had the ACDF there is no way he would play so soon, but he is already at the recovery period for an ADR, so that at least makes sense to me.
  3. I haven’t seen a report that definitively says which procedure he had, but all those reports said his recovery period would be 6-9 months which is the prescribed recovery period for ACDF so it was easy to draw the conclusion that he had the fusion surgery. He is already at the prescribed recovery period for the ADR, so I have to think that’s what he had.
  4. I’ll be damned. Micah is either establishing a new medical precedent for ACDF recovery by months or he had the ADR surgery instead. Given how conservative doctors are, my money is on the latter.

  6. That’s a good point. I don’t even think there's a thin line between them either, given the huge disparity in the two emotions.
  7. It's their hatred of losing more than anything. At least according to the players I’ve known over the years.
  8. Afraid to lose. What a weird concept. I’ve never known a single professional athlete to be afraid to lose. Because they can’t be. Us fans should be the same way.
  9. Oddly enough, that’s exactly who Buffalo Rumblings has us selecting in the first round. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2023/1/9/23536264/2023-nfl-mock-draft-buffalo-bills-bijan-robinson-running-back
  10. They’re both huge losses, but an elite pass rusher like Miller does more to disrupt the passing game than a free safety.
  11. Every media report at the time said he had surgery and a recovery period of 6-9 months, indicating he had the ACDF procedure. If those reports are wrong, then he had the ADR procedure instead and that carries a much shorter recovery time of three months. Regardless, the scar on his throat indicates he had surgery of some sort. And a return to light calisthenics and drills isn’t out of the ordinary for either procedure.
  12. I only have one thought and that is our pass defense really misses Miller and Hyde.
  13. I will place the ad Bridge to nowhere is for sale Phins prefer causeways
  14. Only twice scrambled Remember back injury Phin docs are top notch
  15. I’m surprised they let him watch just knowing how stressful it is on my own cardiac system watching a Bills game.
  16. Not about Tua It’s about Hill’s disrespect More than anything
  17. Bold proclamations Being made by Tyreek Hill Are delusional
  18. Form, please.
  19. He solidified the return game immediately upon his arrival, so I’m grateful for that. But I’m really looking forward to him being used in the role they wanted McKissic and McCaffery for and that is as a receiving threat from the LOS lined up against safeties and LBs. He can be a matchup nightmare if used correctly by Dorsey.
  20. Man, do ever we miss him on the field. Completely different defensive dynamic when he’s out there.
  21. Two words for all those Pats*** fans whining about the refs: Loser’s lament.
  22. No lie, as soon as they widened the shot and you could see the play was there to be made, I yelled that I was glad that wasn’t Gabe Davis on the go route.
  23. Not sure why it’s so hard for some to admit that. Especially if they’ve ever played competitive sports.
