Limited athletically? He was a wideout at a major college program before he transitioned to QB and he can still run.

I have no problem saying Ryan Tannehill has developed into a good QB. Good for him that he found a team and system that maximizes that development.

Nah, I’m just a stickler for rules language. You will never hear a ref penalize a team for a forward lateral, but he will call an illegal forward pass. And when you think about it, “forward lateral” is a contradiction in terms.

That image is deceiving and the blue line is irrelevant. The down marker official must stand with the down marker at the forward point of the ball where it is placed by the head linesman after the previous play. There’s no such thing as a forward lateral, only an illegal forward pass.

Total team loss. From the coaches on down, nobody was prepared to play this game. No excuses for the numerous lack of focus mistakes, from the procedural penalties to the drops. Reminded me of the occasional stinkers we played back in the glory days of the early nineties when we’d go on the road either undefeated or with one loss and get totally embarrassed in KC, Pittsburgh, or Houston on national TV. Are you under the impression that a HC is obligated to explain to a player why or why not that player was used in a particular way in a game? I’m sure Gase is a world class A hole and nobody would want to talk to him, but if Bell has an issue, it is on him to talk to his coach about it and not hide behind media tweets.

His lousy coaching aside, he’s 100% correct about L Bell’s cowardly criticism.
