True. But I feel playing Oliver at 1 tech actually weakens us at two positions. He’s our best 3 tech. McD should just let him be at that position.

Maybe we should be less concerned with why McD insists on using Oliver in the 1 tech, and more concerned with why he feels he has to use him there. We don’t have a 1 tech, let alone a dominant player at the position.

Went almost exactly as I suspected it would with between two divisional opponents who know each other so well. The wind was the most influential component of the game as it’s been so many times in that stadium. Happy we got a W. Not kidding myself for a second that this defense is anything special or that it’s capable of winning a game for us against a good opponent.

Yep. And that combo has kicked our asses many times over the years. Bellyache knows how to scheme a running game against a team shown to be vulnerable up front.

Wish I could agree. I’ve seen some of the strongest arms ever reduced to noodles in the face of winds gusts at the stadium. Especially if they’re of the swirling variety closer to field level. If they aren’t swirling, but still sustained at over 20 mph with 40 mph gusts, then I like Josh’s chances in two of the four quarters. But winds that high will wreck havoc, regardless.

That was a good watch. In the last two Embedded episodes I’ve seen, Kevyn Adams doesn’t strike me as somebody who is out of his depth in the least. Quite the contrary, he seems very well prepared and capable. And a helluva lot more cerebral than JBotts, who seemed like a nervous wreck most of the time.

Edmunds has been making the D calls since his first game in the league in 2018 and our D was pretty good his first two years, so I don’t think making the calls is all of a sudden a problem for him. I think it’s a combination of factors, from new faces along the front to his injury.
