He is tiny. He’s so electric though. Not many slots have the juice to take a 5 yard slant the distance. He does. We paid him more than I thought he’d get paid but mainly because he was out of sight and mind last year as he missed the seasons with turf toe. Every time I’ve watched him play, he impressed me and left me thinking I’d like this guy on the Bills. he’s a high risk (due to size), high reward (due to speed) player who’s contract won’t hurt us going forward (if he doesn’t work out). if he hits his incentives and makes the full amount…..then he produced.

“ we need playmakers”. “We need speed”. “We need a slot WR”. “Beane neglects offense”. Bills sign a playmaking slot WR (that can also make contested catches) with blazing speed: “why’d we pay him so much?” 🤦🏻♂️

This. I want Williams but only at the right price. If he wants too much, draft one 4th round or later and sign a FA for the minimum. Duke Williams being the worst option. There are going to be several solid RBs signing for next to nothing after a few weeks -

He’s amazing. His persona is why he’s the only FA RB I want @ more than 3M- dude is infectious and a huge part of the lion turnaround…. I thought. and then the lions sign Montgomery for 6 mill a year…..makes me think Jamaal wasn’t that great, or wants way too much money. -
Me too. Love the guy….. but no

I wouldn’t put that loss on him

Yeah, I should’ve included him, I expect him to be our starting slot. I was more or less leaning towards the gadget side of his plays, which have been less and less. Thankfully.

This seems like our best option. Won’t break the bank like hopkins- Sutton is on a reasonable deal. Jeudy his rookie deal. Both younger. trading for hopkins would cause mass restructure and basically going “all in” over the next 2 years while really weakening our chances of winning after 2 years is up. I get both sides of the argument- -the rams went all in and won a SB. -the chiefs just won a Super Bowl after doing the opposite of going all in. They traded away their superstar WR and won. The chiefs never really went all in- they just kick some cap down the road and hit on draft picks. The biggest difference the last 2 years- KC has whooped us in the last two drafts…..edit: and injuries. I think we would’ve won the SB if we had with our opening day roster + Tre’davious healthy

Seriously. He’s gotta get the axe. Right? I’d rather we give all of mckenzies reps to Hines/Cook

Really rough would’ve included not signing one of the better guards on the market to a fair contract. we haven’t made any bad signings of significancez. Matakavich and Cam Lewis don’t get paid enough to be considering bad. WR is a focus, but it’s a terrible WR market and the dominos haven’t begun to fall yet. We’ll get someone. we just haven’t made a splash - in an offseason in which we started 20M OVER the cap. Losing edmunds was a lock in my eyes- as was losing Poyer. Doubtful, but there’s still a chance he returns. I don’t think this has been a bad start- many fans are just losing their minds because Miami got Ramsey and the jets are gonna get Rodgers.
