They identified a guy they had to have. There was a team drafting ahead of us that may or may not have drafted him. No one will ever know what they were going to do, either way, they may have taken him And that would’ve left us without the guy we wanted. Sucks giving up a 4th, but in the greater scheme of things, making sure you get a 1st rd grade at a position of need is worth it 👍🏻

He wanted a playmaker in round one and was going to make sure he got one. The way the draft fell, with no pass catcher taken in the top 19, allowed him to sit back, watch and wait. He knew there would be someone for him as long as he moved up a couple picks.
