KC was better- i agree. I put it on Mcdermott and his staff for not having his team ready to play that game. They were completely out coached and did a poor job. Regardless of if who was the better team- the coaching staff failed that day. Spags >> Dabs for sure….. but our defense was equally as bad that day- 2 guys destroyed us. We couldn’t come close to containing one of them- 22 catches 290 2 TD. Everyone else 7-35- gotta be able to limit one of those guys. Which we did the next time we played them. Great coaching can overcome having lesser talent. Just as it did in the Super Bowl last season. Philly had the best roster imo.

I think McDermott is on the hot seat. He’s not an elite HC. He’s a good to very good coach. He needs to get this team over the hump. If he doesn’t do that within 2 years, depending on the circumstances (mainly injuries), he should probably be replaced. He’ll then be hired immediately and turn around another franchise. Why? Because he’s a good-very good HC. I don’t put last years season on McD. Not in the least. The injuries and circumstances of the season were too much to overcome last year. I thought McD did a great job keeping things together until the Cinci game. I do put the two previous KC playoffs losses directly in his head. He was slaughtered in the first matchup and made the biggest coaching blunder in team history in the second. The Bills have also outplayed the chiefs in head to head games 2 of 3 games since then (13 seconds was bad. I thought we deserved to win but we didn’t really outplay them). that’s the reality. The guys mentioned in the post tell a lot of half truths. They seem to rant a lot and don’t see both sides of what they say. There is some truth to a lot of what they post but they’re blinded by their frustration and don’t look at the entire picture and refuse to think there are other ways to see this.

The Ignore function is your friend. You won’t see their sorry schtick and you’ll enjoy the board a lot more than you do now. Put yourself out of the misery. I’ve ignored several of them in past weeks and have noticed my level of enjoyment has risen. Quoting them will just give you more of the same regurgitated 🤮 that they wrote in every thread. I haven’t ignored newcam yet, some of his posts make me laugh and feel good about myself. But that will likely change soon.

2023 Buffalo Bills from a Patriots fan perspective

And my original statement is still true. It’s a fact that you have no clue if the Damar Hamlin injury negatively effected the team. Zero clue. Zippo, zilch. Nada. If I had the time and desire, I could put together of list of quotes from bills players and coaches stating that the ordeal took a big toll on them. the following game- the pats had more yards and 1st downs. Thank god for Hines’ returns for TDs. 3 turnovers. We didn’t play well. the next game we barely beat Sage Rosenfells in a playoff game. We didn’t play well. the next game we played the worst game we’ve played in years. but yeah- you know that the Hamlin moment didn’t have a negative effect on the team. Do you man, -

I think it’s safe to say that you have no clue what kind of an impact the Damar situation had on the Bills. -
I agree. I think he’s going to be more than just an edge rusher. He’s competent dropping back into zone- super athletic and long. He’s kinda like Edmunds in that way

The way I see it, it’s potentially elite until we see it be elite. I agree, it should be. I expect it to be. Also agree that this is Beanes best offseason. -
Playoff sacks sorry

Same. It’s really a massive addition. I think it’s more impactful than hopkins would’ve been tbh. The guy is always healthy. Is great Vs the pass AND the run (regardless of what some ignorants spew after reading college scouting reports), knows what it takes to win a SB, has had great playoff success and is extremely versatile for an edge player. He makes our pass rush potentially elite and allows us to take our time bringing Von back. Our schedule is stacked with great QBs this season. All the best of the best. A guy like Floyd is a game changer for our roster.- 76 replies

This is nuts. “leaves one or both feet to make a tackle”— wth is going on here? A player can’t leave ONE foot to make a tackle? They can’t be serious. If this is true, the league is just opening up doors to control outcomes even more than it already does. This is crazy. am I misinterpreting something? 🤦🏻♂️

Agreed. I don’t even know who he is anymore! 🤦🏻♂️

Schein-Cook is on his "guaranteed to improve" list
NewEra replied to TBBills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
12 rushes and 3-5 catches. Not 20-25 and I think he’s stronger in the ass than you think he is. I never said he’s a bell cow back. We’re a pass first team and he’s RB1- I know he’s not going to get 75%. That’s just what I’d like to see. I fully expect Harris to get rock in the 4th qtrs of games where we have the lead. I don’t think we’re going to run it any more than we have in the past. I think we may actually run less now that we have a guy like Kincaid over the middle. “Rookie tight ends don’t produce”…..that’s all I hear. Until now. -

Cook is filthy. I hope we never see Hines or Murray get a carry and Harris no more than 30% of the RB carries. Fat chance, I know 😔 I love watching this kid run. -
Are they a lock for the one seed? A “lock”? 🤦🏻♂️

You can say that about several plays in that game alone

No doubt! Poyer’s my guy. Just wanted to touch on our new pass rush in the Floyd thread Definitely looking forward to our all pro Safeties back together doing what they do.
-
I really hope we see a lot of Miller-Ed-Rousseau-Floyd rushing on 3rd down and obvious passing downs. Doesn’t get much better than that in the current NFL

No question. Superior in all aspects. While clark has been a stalwart in the playoffs, floyd has been very good as well, just in fewer games. .79 sacks per game for Clark- .72 for floyd jerry Hughes .77 btw

Paladin all the day

Of Ingram, Clowney, Houston, Ngakoue and Quinn I’d guess all 5 end up in the AFC. Both KC and Baltimore will ***** one fosho

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
NewEra replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think HoFers that will have made in excess of 100M over their careers have a different perspective. Hopkins, imo, is a HoFer, will have made over 100M after this season and has 2 playoff wins. If I’m DHop, putting myself in position to win a SB >>>>>> an extra 5M-7M. Many players have done that in their careers. I’d venture to say hundreds of them have taken less to win or, as you said, play with coaches and team mates they want to play with. I don’t think he’s thinking that though. I’m confidant Beane would anti up 8-10M on a a 1 year contract with 3 void years to land him. But that’s not gonna be enough $. Even though he said he wants to play with Josh allen, with a stable franchise and FO and a great defense. He has it all. But he wants more money -

Former first round picks on our defensive line

💯 Rousseau was injured and losing von put all the pressure and double teams on him. No one was worried about Shaq and AJ. -

We’ ll see where he ends up. I bet it’s not KC, Buffalo or Cinci, Philly or SF. Which means he doesn’t really care about winning imo. I could see Baltimore, not because he thinks he can win there….but because Decosta is the best in the business and usually finds a way to get the guys he wants and will find a way to pay him his minimum price tag. He talked all the stuff that he wants- an elite QB. A stable organization . A great defense. I think the only place he can get that and get paid is Baltimore (if you consider a Lamar elite). I think Baltimore and cleveland are the favorites due to the fact that they are on the outside of the elite teams, trying to become elite.
