1- niners 2- cowboys 3- chiefs 4- eagles 5- dolphins 6- ravens 7- Bills 8- Jax 9- Atlanta 10- rams based on 2 games. Random notes: If the browns didn’t lose chubb, I’d have them included over the rams. Their D looks legit. Watson looks 💩 ridder sucks but I think that offense can give teams fits. Bijan is the best RB in the league already imo. He’s moves different. Their d looks improved too. Maybe a short stint on the list, but a stint nonetheless rams- hung with the best team and their offense looks pretty solid. I don’t think they stick on the list for long, but after 2 weeks, they’re ok. The chiefs D looks good.

I remember when Preston Brown led the league in tackles. He’s been pretty poop 💩 according to my bear fan friends.
-
Typical this guy thread
-
Yeah that’s what they did. Subbed Taron out and Dobson in. Just a handful of plays. I was just chiming in to let you know that of his 20% of game snaps, 15% were garbage time (5% real snaps)
-
Yeah he’s tough…. But he’s nowhere near as good as Jacobs.

Spencer Brown vs Dawand Jones, request for analysis
NewEra replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
There was one play in the 4th qtr where Watson was scrambling and Jones was literally just standing there watching him, meanwhile his man got back to the play and laid a lick on Watson -

I liked him as a prospect based on his play. I was hoping we’d draft him in rd 3 or trade up into rd 4 for him. that said, there aren’t that many guys close to his size have successful nfl careers. Some do, sure, but I think staying healthy is a much bigger issue when you’re THAT big -
They have one of the better front 4’s in the league imo. They lack productivity @ LB. I really like their young cb core of Forbes and St Juste and Martin and Kendall fuller is their vet to lean on. I don’t know much about their safeties. robinson is tough runner and can break tackles. Mcclaurin and Dotson are 2 dynamic (but not elite imo) WRs and Samuel is a nice compliment that can also take some handoffs. Our DL should have its way with their young OL.

No idea. Probably before game 1 but didn’t notice

Agreed 💯 It’s still early but I’m happy with the defense so far minus Von. 2 weeks should be interesting

I think Miami will win the division, Bills 2nd, but we’ll advance further in the playoffs. edit: I think we’re the better team, but I think their schedule could be the difference. They get Carolina, Tennessee and Baltimore (on NYE, when Lamar hasn’t been healthy the last 2 seasons). We get a home game vs Jax played in london, @ Cinci and vs TB.

definitely not going to be 16 teams in the hunt all season, but I get your point

Meanwhile over in Bengal land, there is weeping and gnashing of teeth
NewEra replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe von. Lol. The guy singlehandedly stopped your championship offense last season. You can’t bet he’s going to be elite. I wouldn’t include Boyd or Mixon as stars. Neither are in the same league as Rousseau or Ed for that matter. I think Leonard floyd and daquan jones are better as well. We’ll see about Micah Hyde, but going into last season, he was better than both too. They have a great top 5 and they play premium positions. I just think the loss of Bates and Bell is huge and has them as a lesser team in 2023 compared to last year. That could change in future years but I think we’re the better roster currently. We just have to wait and see what the nfl injury gods have to say about it -
The afc just got worse

Yeah i agree, it looked uncatchable. Just sucks that the clear hold and yank kept peoples-jones from opening up to the sideline and making his best attempt.
-
Clear penalty

15% was garbage time when we pulled the starters, although he did get a couple snaps in the 3rd qtr iirc. I remember seeing #25 thinking wth is that, Da’Norris Searcy?
-
I rewatched the game and focused mainly on him on D. He made 2 very solid solo tackles against jacobs. He took on blocks and held his ground. He was barking at his teammates 24/7. Seemed to be in decent position in coverage as well. I think if you watch the game with a focus on him, you’d find he played a solid game (albeit vs a bad team). And Kirksey was never really that good. Basically and below average starting Mike imo. I’m really happy with his addition, but I don’t think much better than what we’ve seen from Bernard at this point. Jmo

Chubb is my favorite non Bill. Class act. Special kid. Special player. Get well soon

To All You Dorsey/McD Haters What Say You Now ?
NewEra replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn’t say I’m a “Dorsey hater” but I think he has the season to prove he’s worthy of the position. I thought he called a good game vs a poor defense. Josh’s execution of the plan was perfect. 1 sub par game. 1 good game. many more to go I’m definitely not a McD hater. I was excited to see him taken full control of the defense and play calling. I think he’s done a good job in both games considering Bernard is making the calls on the field. -

Closed? Seriously? They lost two games …..with an injured QB under center. I do think their very chances may be behind them but the same was said about the chiefs and then they won again last year. I don’t know if we’ll see them field the quality of team that beat us last season but I think their window will be open for few more years at least -
A Few Thoughts about the Raiders Game, in no particular order
NewEra replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Give him credit for deleting it…. but we’ll NEVER forget 😹 -
Playing nickel all game makes holding jacobs to -2 yards that much more impressive. Ed, Rousseau and Daquan had themselves games.
-
After rewatching the game, that would be my only negative regarding his game. Many of the times he wasn’t confused though, he was barking orders and communicating. I just thought it was strange how often he basically turned around when the ball was snapped

Bills sign Latavius Murray to a one-year deal
NewEra replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same. Murray is my preferred RB2 💯 He’s a threat running north south and brings the battering ram style that he haven’t had since the great Mike Tolbert. He’s a great addition.
