  1. There is one great excuse/reason. If a player they have rated much higher than the highest rated WR falls to them, it’s a valid excuse, especially if that player is a pass rusher. There’s a chance that 5,6,7 WRs are off the board when we pick. If Thomas goes in the teens and Mitchell shortly after, teams could be more apt to trade up ahead of us because everyone knows we’re targeting WR. If we select Keon Coleman over Latu, I’d have to question whether or not Beane has a clue. If we took Legette or Franklin over Latu, I wouldn’t be furious but I’d think that they bypassed the better player at another position of need. The excuse/reason is really only valid if players we had rated very high, fall further than expected. Lots can depend on how the draft falls.
  2. They sold 50M stroud jerseys in his first season…. What better than to make a new uniform so they can sell 50M more
  3. Yeah, because Von was known for dogging it when he’s healthy 🙄
  4. Doesn’t seem like a McD type. Exceptional talent that I think could still be great….but I don’t think he’ll ever put in the effort to get there. He takes way too many plays off effort wise.
  5. You’re right- they’re completely different. But to say that he isn’t replacing him isn’t correct imo. I think he’s going to be top 2 in WR snaps unless we trade up for Thomas or Mitchell. I think both of those guys would take Gabes spot and take 70-80% of his snaps. Many of gabes snaps were due to his blocking ability and had little to do with the routes being run. Samuel eats in the intermediate routes. 10-25 yards, he’s a separation machine imo. There’s a chance he’ll be running a lot of the routes gabe ran as I think he’s better equipped to take on the outside role than shakir is. Both Shakir and Samuel will have pretty heavy roles in offense imo. With Kincaid and Knox also in the mix for snaps, whichever rookie WR we draft will have to beat out solid vets for snaps. Dunno if the Franklin, Leggette, pearsall types would run away with all of gabes snaps. Thomas or Mitchell, maybe. I think samuel is an upgrade over Gabe more than he’s an upgrade over any other WR we lost. He’s going to get a lot of snaps. Just like Gabe. Unlike Harty. Unlike Sherfield. Shakir is still here and will be getting his share of snaps. Unlike Gabe, samuel gets open and can do so 25 yards down field. That’s why he’s an upgrade imo
  6. He looks like one to me. Wouldn’t be happy with him over a WR, but wouldn’t mind it if we were to find a way to also land one of the top 10 WRs in the class.
  7. Or maybe just post the mocks in the thread dedicated to mock drafts? 🤷🏻‍♂️
  8. Good for him. Congrats Taron. Well deserved and seemed to be inevitable
  9. He makes sense until you realize there’s a salary cap and we still have several other holes And how much do you pay him?
  10. Yeah…..that would be great. I don’t see him signing for less than 10aav
  11. So you wouldn’t be on board with Brian Thomas Jr then? 🤷🏻‍♂️
  12. Interesting thought. Could definitely be something to that
  13. Deserves it all = however much money he signs for.
  14. And gets paid more decent big bucks. Class act deserves it all
  15. Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State - AZ Rome Odunze, Washington -Bears Ladd McConkey, Georgia - Carolina Brian Thomas Jr., LSU - Colts Xavier Worthy Texas- Miami
  16. I think the additions put us in better position to trade down if Thomas or Mitchell are off the board. I don’t think they are taking WR no matter what. If they don’t trade up, I think they take BPA if there are certain players on the board, ie latu, Dejean, chop. It’s a good OT draft. They could even go that route if they worry about Spencer Brown costing more than they originally planned. If he improves in last season and stays healthy, he could make 18-20M a year. Dunno if that’s in their plans
  17. Agreed. I don’t like them either. I’m interested in Chop due to his explosive ability and possible upside, but Latu is the only edge i’d be really happy with. He’s a force getting after the QB
  18. If that’s the decision, I’m behind it. I just don’t see Beane being ok waiting til rd 4 for his 2nd selection.
  19. I’m starting to think the same thing- not sure if we’d bypass certain WRs in rd 2 if they’re there, but I could see us taking DE, S, OT or IOL if they are BPA. Diggs Samuel Shakir Hollins day 2 or 3 draft pick Shorter/cheap FA WR i really think Cooper Dejean will be our pick if he’s there (because I think he’ll likely be the BPA IF available @28 and has the versatility McD loves). Chop Robinson could be next up, but his size may not be what McD is looking for. Darius Robinson does though
  20. How much is “not too much”? We don’t have a 3rd.
  21. Yes, I have dozens of friends who are fans of different teams……. But you won’t find me on their teams message boards defending every anti-bills remark to the bone. We meet up, drink beer and talk about sports. We have text chats. If I were to go to a cheifs message board, I would expect lots bills smack talk. That’s what fans of other teams do. But you on the other hand. I need validation and I…..
  22. We’re going to need that flexibility every year. This allows a little more flexibility down the road.
  23. And we all think it’s funny that you’re even here. Reeking of insecurities. Seeking validation. Unable to discuss your own team with your peers. At least you understand that Bills fans football IQ >>> chiefs fans.
  24. Cool story. Thanks for sharing
  25. 🤷🏻‍♂️
