I hope the Bills aren't overlooking the Raiders

You're confused PhinPhan, the Doltfins said goodbye to first place last weekend. -

Is the Ralph turning into the Meadowlands?
DieHardFan replied to duey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have been to all the stadiums you have name dropped above except RCA dome plus Miami (every year but 2 since 94), NO, Dal, TB, JAX, OAK (where the backers had to keep quiet for fear of getting their a$$s kicked), KC, NE, Jets (pure idiots), many more than once. I wear the colors but do not taunt or cheer excessively yet I have had beer tossed on me, been spit on, and been provoked by dumbasses wanting to pick a fight. Most times, just like at RWS if you respect the stadium and the fans you are accepted and can banter with them in a friendly ADULT manner. Ticket pricing has far outdistanced inflation and season ticket percentages are up so I don't think the NFL needs you to bring your son to a game to survive. -

FYI, New Amazing Race starts tonight
DieHardFan replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have seen the show advertised previously and checked the CBS website. I believe this is week 3 of the current season. Only saw it the last 4 - 5 weeks last year (when the reality TV players were on, easier to follow and was rooting against Boston Rob) but it was pretty good. -
Lets see how this goes over in the NBA...

Per article this includes times the player is "making promotional or other appearances.". I wonder if this includes commercials? -
Is the Ralph turning into the Meadowlands?

Maybe you're not old enough. The first years I had my seasons ('90=>) we were in the non-tunnel endzone and there were fights EVERY game. Easily 75%+ of the fans were drunk but fewer were obnoxious. Security used to use dogs to keep people off the field. There were few that were stupid enough to bring a pre-teen to a game. People also knew enough to keep their mouth's shut or suffer the consequenses because there weren't legions of cops around to bail them out of a deserved butt-kicking. Conversely the surrounding crowd would let it be known that cheap shots on innocents would not be tolerated. More important, the fans were LOUD EVERY time the defense was on the field and alot quieter when the O was in the countdown. They were different times and will never return. For better or worse, The PC NFL will keep pecking away at the game until it becomes sterile and "family friendly". -
Nice photos and labeling. Especially good viewpoint of Thurmon. Guess I need to get ambitious and at least get mine out of my camera.

TSW reaches a new low in bitter attacks
DieHardFan replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You've been around long enough to know that this is primarily a forum for people who have no life and in many cases little wit to comment on anything and everything and thrive on little inside jokes and mindless trivia, ie a typical internet board. IN GENERAL, the greater the number of posts, the more likely they are to fit the mold. The fact that they are Bills fans is the snot that holds them together. The ADMIN clan is also pretty young and autocratic mostly due to a sophmoric outlook but also because at times things get out of hand and they are volunteers vs employees and don't always have time to be diplomatic. While recent format changes have helped to keep the posts on topic, the bad news is that the drivel that used to keep the inner circle occupied has been hijacked to another forum and/or starts in the off-topic area which most don't bother to monitor with anywhere near the frequency they do here. So IMNeverHO the site is useful for keeping up on breaking Bills news, emerging TV shows and to kill an hour or two and WITH NOTABLE EXCEPTIONS (the Lori pins etc) some genuine analytical discussion. But please don't confuse the lunatics here with a typical Bill's fan. [Flame on or Ban me]. -

Instead of a Babe of the day....
DieHardFan replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is abuse of the Babe of the Day moniker. Save the editorial BS for the main (pathetic band-wagon jumpin') board. We Demand Our Babe Of the Day! -
Thanks, a Miami troll is just what this board needs to unite it. Miami Doltfins: An NFL team with NCAA talent (including it's HC).
-
Quite the opposite. Parcells, JJ, and Chucky would do the same. Seeing the ESPN blurp this am and the subsequent fodder on this board I thought he had said that KH was the starter. Thanks for straightening me out.Even if KH is slated to start MM did the right thing. Fans deserving the truth???? Why not fed-ex your playbook to Saban while you are at it? Go file a freedom of info lawsuit!
-
I agree with the general premise expressed here except the opinion that JP looked bad in pre-season (looked to be developing well to me) and especially the logic that coaches are not allowed to at least stretch the truth if not outright lie as it is ridiculous to make your opponents privy to your game plan (no way to tell the fans in a non-public manner). The most disappointing aspect of this decision is the TIMING. Why give Saban a heads up that Holcomb is to start? Hopefully the suspicion that MM was told to make the decision is true. While not a good presage of things to come, the alternative is that MM is starting to get swayed by the media (or worse the morons on this board) and turning to GW like knee-jerk reactions.

You mean cheap plentiful quasi-legal weed in every pot and AIDs free crotches of course. -
From TBD Football pool Standings:rank 135 points 32 (32-27) player SDS w-l pct 54.2% (and that's w/o having to play against the point spread)

What happens if we go 1-15?
DieHardFan replied to nick in* england's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure about what would happen in this highly improbable scenario. ($100 US says it won't, any takers?), but in the present it sounds like there should be a recall vote for Bills Backers UK President. Getta Grip people! -
Ironic. NFL in Mexico: Ole Ron Mexico in some Mexican: No Way

Kicked out of Ralph for wearing...
DieHardFan replied to theesir's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Was in 1st row and two of us were wearing sombreros (one of which that guy dressed as the Buffalo borrowed for a little while until he got his own). Had a sign with "Ron Mexico: Sore Loser with a Dirty Bird" on one side and "Pluck the Falcons" on the other. One security guy made me turn it to side B when he came around, most others just pretended that they didn't see it. It's possible that a Barney Fife type might have enforced "official (NFL PC)" policy but most likely it never happened or there were additional extenuating factors that caused them to eject him. -
LET HIM THROW THE ROCK!!
DieHardFan replied to granitestatebillsbackers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Looks like you'll need to wait for the rubber match to figure this years team out. -
I'm hoping my sombrero makes it through the pitter-patters. Making some signs ahead of time (suggestions welcome) plus some blanks and a sharpie in case they are deemed un-PC by the censor patrol.

Never Prouder To Be A Bills Fan
DieHardFan replied to granitestatebillsbackers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hear Hear (or is it here, here). If they ever get that wacky rating system in place I'm bookmarking this post to give it a gold star. -
So does standing and yelling everytime their O is on the field (or at least the 1stQ before the current Gen of fans gets bored), but it does provide a home team advantage. Maybe we should serve tea and scones?
